I think most would agree that it's MMA 2019 performance 😊 songs you need to react to before watching MMA 2019 though:
- Intro: Persona (also has a music video)
- Boy in Luv (one of their older songs, also has a music video)
- Boy with luv feat. Halsey (has a music video)
- Mikrokosmos (doesn't have a music video but maybe you can react to a lyric video?)
- Dionysus (no music video but maybe you can react to a lyric video? Also, you'll really really like this song, trust me 😁)

I don't think I'm alone in this, but I 100% prefer BTS live. Their albums and music videos are amazing, but honestly they're an act that's just better live, straight up. I was lucky enough to see them live for the first time ever in Los Angeles in Dec 2021 and in Las Vegas in April 2022. Honestly for the first 15 minutes at least of the LA concert I legitimately felt like I was going to pass out. I used to go to live metal shows all the time when I was younger, and comparing that to a BTS concert is incomparable. There's just no words to explain what it feels like to be there live. Even if you're in the highest seats of the stadium, they make sure you have the time of your life and can hear and see everything. Their video screens and production value at concerts is unlike anything I've ever seen. It's a battle royale bloodbath to get tickets to see them live, but if you're ever lucky enough to get some, it's a life altering experience. Also, you're not alone in the very short pipeline from metalhead to BTS ARMY. There's a lot of us out here. I can't explain it, but I don't need to.
A lot of bts songs in my playlist are taken from my fav live performances. Not only cause of the vocals but I love to hear army too
I saw BTS at Wembley stadium in London in 2019 - it was one if the best days of my life! BTS are just outstanding artists and performers, and they are also the most beautiful humans.

Fellow Metalhead here from the US. I discovered BTS in 2020 during lockdown. I never, ever, ever thought i would listen to anything associated with KPOP but BTS won my heart. First song i heard from BTS was Fake Love. It just kept popping up on my feed. The boys put their all in their live performances. Jimin is BTS' angel voice. It is said, once you Jimin, you will never Jim out.

Suga's got that glow, talent and he is hella cute, so yeah, we get it. And Jimin and his voice, his dancing, his smile and overflowing charm, if you don't like him, are you even alive? So again, we feel you. Great reaction and they really are so good live, it's an experience. Another super great live performance is MMA 2019, the awards turned into their own private concert and they outdid themselves.
Yoongi is the center in my Bias Line, with Tae to his right, and Jimin to his left, so I totally get it.

It still amazes me that Jin hit those high notes spot on despite having Epiglottitis. He even had to have injections in his throat leading up to the concert. Like, that man is not human! But tbh I don't think any of them are - they're godsent is what they are!

Great reaction - you said it: the energy, the stage presence, they are all superstars. I saw them in 2021 in LA, and then in 2022 in Las Vegas, and then Suga’s solo tour , in Chicago, last year. ALL phenomenal!! It’s too hard to pick a fav song that I saw live but I’d have to say, Baepsae would be up there - the crowd went bananas when that started.

I was at this concert I came all the way from the UK to Busan just for BTS! It was the most incredible experience the energy was insane and I will never forget it.

First of all, that's the Jimin effect no one can escape and I love it.
Second, BTS live sounds even better than the studio version, how crazy is that?
Third, this was a FREE concert... their last concert and look at how professional and dedicated they were, because they just LOVE ARMY so much.
Fourth, the MMA 2019 performance is another thing you should react too... don't get scared by the lenght of it, we will watch EVERY minute of that video OVER and OVER again and we won't get tired. You could drop a 4h reaction video and we will watch because we love BTS that much.
I would like to add a 5th - Jin was recovering from Epiglottitis, and up until the concert wasn't allowed to use his voice.
6th - Two days after this concert Jin officially announced he was beginning the Enlistment Process for his Mandatory Military Service (he's due out next month).
7th - there were so many people watching this concert online they crashed multiple servers.
And I agree completely - both about the 2019 MMAs (just keep reminding yourself it's a performance at an awards ceremony. lol), and about us watching any reaction video, no matter how long.
To the 2019 MMA performance, I would also add recommendations for the 2018 MMA performance; the 2014 MAMA performance (the group battle with Block B has some iconic moments); and the 2016 MAMA performance.

You realize that this performance was the first and only live performance of Run BTS and that this was the first time anyone was seeing the choreography. It was electric! The Dance practice and behind the scenes, etc.. came out later.

I’ve seen BTS live 6 times and not only is their performance off the scale amazing, but the atmosphere is electric. Trust me, you’ve never experienced anything like it. I’m 47 so I’ve seen a lot of music acts come and go, but BTS is truly in a league of their own.
Oh my goodness 6 Times!! That's insane, I cry with happiness when I see them on tv so as a 73 year old def don't want to see them live will get a heart attack thru excitement 😂
When they performed here run bts everybody went crazy. It's because it was the first time we saw it live and we've been waiting so long to see a live perfomance of the song 🔥 everybody was so surprised and excited
I was AT this concert and it was insane because it was the FIRST TIME we saw the choreography for Run BTS! The energy was ELECTRIFYING! 🔥
2:32 Yes, j-hope's live stage presence is wild! People who see him on stage say, "If you weren't a j-hope stan before, you'll be one by the end of the concert!" Over and above that, I think he was even more "in command" this night, and I attribute that to his experience at Lollapalooza.

That was true for me. Went to Metlife Day 1 in 2019 Jimin biased and by the time Just Dance had finished, j-hope had snatched me up. Been j-hope biased ever since. He's a force of nature live.

I personally think Lollapalooza helped him to kind of level up ya know.. It's almost like his confidence was boosted after that💜
They’re such great performers!! Saw BTS at their Permission To Dance in LA (day 3&4) and in Las Vegas and it was the best concerts I’ve ever been to! I also went to Yoongi’s DDay and it was a blast! Always have the best time at their concerts!!
I saw Suga in his D-Day concert in NY and NJ. Even twice wasn't enough. It was INCREDIBLE!! I have not seen BTS and it is a goal as soon as they are back. I will go broke going to as many concerts as I can get a ticket for 😂
I’ve seen BTS three times here in London and they are the absolute best performers I have seen and will ever see. Wembley day 2 was incredible as we all surprised the boys by singing their song ‘Young Forever’, best night of my life.
That fact that Jin lost his voice right before this and wasn't even sure he would be able to sing only to then hit those high notes in Run BTS. If that's not proof he isn't human, I don't know what is
was blessed to see them 2x in Vegas in 2022 and saw Yoongi live in LA for D-day. I've been to thousands of concerts and at 57 i can honestly say BTS was by far the best concert experience ever. It was immersive, the ARMY crowd is like nothing I've seen and I've been to 30+ Grateful Dead shows. HUGS, passing out freebies, just the best crowd energy that feeds into it all. There was an equipment issue on D1 Vegas for like 30+ min they couldn't get a screen working. ARMY amused themselves, sang, practiced the Wave, and was so calm. My friend who had no idea what she was getting into commented how she couldn't believe the patience the crowd exhibited. The guys energy, stage presence, antics, crowd interaction is so real and genuine. I've never seen concert footage where they looked like they were "mailing it in" - EVER. they give 1000% I have to say my fav D1 was watching them do Black Swan from the 400's Row -1 even with the breakout stage. it was mesmerizing.
As for lives - always yes - they're so good. One of my fav's if you're just going to do 1 song and not a whole award's show -- watch Idol MV and then watch LA or LV footage of the song - the remix is so good. ARMY has been begging for a live album release of their concert remixes for ever! also - if you're worried about copyright strikes can you show the whole video and just put a thin mask over it or fade the video? I've seen tons of reactors do that - and its much nicer to actually hear the whole song than chipped up bits and pieces of it. (said as someone who cant get out of the car until the song is finished lol) Did love seeing you jam out tho. So glad you're enjoying your BTS journey.

I've seen them 1 at O2 in 2018, 2 at Wembley in 2019, every livestream since and then Agust D twice in LA 2023. Once you see them live you get addicted
I’ve seen them live in LA and Las Vegas for the PTD tour in 2021/2022 and Suga in Chicago and… THEYRE EVEN BETTER LIVE!!! Wait until they hit Wembley again once back ❤
This was a FREE concert! Absolutely amazing. For live recommendations I’d say look for lives of anything you’ve reacted to so far. They are always better live.

The fact this concert was for free
There are certain BTS songs that are much better live than their studio versions, just because BTS performs them with so much passion and emotion that is not necessarily evoked in the same way in a studio as it is when they are connecting with their beloved ARMY in a more personal way. Number 1 example of this is their performance of the song Outro: Tear live at Wembly Stadium. (This is just the rap line) Find a version with the English subtitles already added. (There are at least 2). The second song that just hits different live is the song Magic Shop. (Full group). Once again, look for a version with English subtitles. This is a song written to give comfort to ARMY so the lyrics are essential to understand why the audience participates so meaningfully in the performance of this song. Other songs that you should see live: Mikrokosmos, Anpanman, So What, Pied Piper, Zero O’clock, Butterfly,and Dionysus.
Also Idol and Fire, both are so good live!

I saw them at Wembley Stadium on the second night. I've seen many bands at Wembley and BTS out did them all.
I really love your reactions. You clearly put a lot of effort into your editing and it really shows!! It occurred to me that as a fan of metal you might enjoy BTS's Dionysus. (Forgive me if you've already reacted to it!) I can't think of a BTS song that could really be described as metal, but I think Run BTS and Dionysus are their most rock-inspired songs, and they both go so hard. BTS did a performance of Dionysus at the 2019 MMAs that's particularly loved. Other performances stand out in my memory as being particularly iconic are their performances at the 2018 MMAs (Airplane pt.2) and the 2018 MAMAs (Idol). Kpop perfomances at awards shows like the MMAs or the MAMAs are particularly high-scale, honesrly unlike anything you see by western artists nowadays.

Las Vegas and LA. My fave Burn it up (Fire). Red Army Bombs. Suga in Cnicagp. Fave Amygdala. 75 years old. It passes in a flash like a dream. Did that just happen? It's in Korean mostly, of course, but you just feel it, you get it, you're moved. Pure MAGIC.

I loved this. I was so happy they could perform Run BTS before they had to go to military. J-Hope headlined Lollapalooza solo in 2022. Yoongi's D-Day tour was the highest-grossing tour by a solo Korean artist in history. So those two were def born to be stars.

This is probably one of my favorite live performances of Mic Drop because of the pyrotechnics. I also love how hard they go, like they need to pay some bills (I suppose since it is a free concert, they are paying some bills in a roundabout way). But we know they were going hard because they knew this was the last time they were performing together for a few years.

I was at Wembley stadium 1st and 2nd June 2019. I found them in October 2018 and they changed my life. Bts truly finds you when you need them ❤❤ it's hard to pick a favourite from the Wembley shows but So What always makes me smile cos they are so chaotic, truth untold made me cry and the crowd singing young forever as a surprise to the boys will forever be in my heart. X
Seeing this concert in cinema was stunning! I’d seen them live, but in the cinema it felt like front row. Almost as good, almost!
I saw them for the first time when I was 52, I flew alone to go to the concert but never felt lonely. From the airport, hotel shuttle, ride to and from the show, merch line and line to get in the venue ARMYs I encountered are just nice people and everybody is there with a mutual feeling of love and respect for these 7 men. It was something else!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The second time I actually met up with an ARMY I met in a discord group from another country and we walked to the venue together and visited at the entrance. When would I ever have met her if not for BTS?! I sat by people much younger than me but felt so happy to share the moments together. BTS brings all sorts of people together in one space and mindset.
They really do spoil you for most other concerts, honestly. The only other shows I love this much are The 1975.

I’ve been lucky enough to see BTS twice. At SoFi Stadium in LA and at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The energy of a live show is CRAZY. It’s a whole festival with only one band! As far as live performances to see, their year-end award shows are stunning. I would check out the 2019 MMA performance, the IDOL special stage, and Hobi at Lollapalooza. A hint on the live performances and copyright… The BANGTANTV and HYBE Labels channels usually aren’t blocked.

I haven't seen all 7 together yet but I was super lucky to get to see Yoongi's D-Day tour live & it was almost like an out of body experience? It still doesn't seem real, the arena was electric & I don't think I've ever had that much fun or been that moved at any other concert I've seen.
I was at their 2019 Wembley concert!! and let me tell you, it was so incredible. I can't pick my favourite song but honestly, their energy during IDOL is always the best, the whole stadium just turned into one big party

I saw BTS live in December of 2021, the last of the 4 concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. I was 59 at the time and flew out there alone to see them. I had purple hair at the time and it seemed that our plane from Texas was 1/3 full of purple haired people also going. The concert was unbelievable - it was like being at a party full of friends, all dancing and singing together. The young men are incredibly charismatic and it was so much better than a TH-cam video, lol. I was one of the older people there but I was far from the oldest.
The only live performance that’s better than this one is the 2019 MMA awards show. I highly recommend it!

Currently 39 years old from the US and I was supposed to see them for the first time live on their 2020 tour. I survived the ticketing process and was very happy with my seats!! Then the pandemic hit and the tour was cancelled. I was SO UPSET!! So many more people have discovered them since then and I’m actually nervous about their first tour when they’re all back. But I’ve been ARMY since February 2018 so I REALLY want to see them live at least once. Crossing my fingers that it’ll happen some day.
Heyyy! I'm 41 and have been an ARMY since 2017. Had tickets to three shows for that tour, including one with soundcheck. I legit cried in a parking lot when I got the email that the tour was cancelled haha. I had seen them before that but I so bad for you since that would've been your first tour! I'm so nervous for when they reunite. It'll be pure chaos.
Saw them live 2x! If you ever get a chance to see them live, it's a MUST.
“This makes me happy” - Yup. That is all there is to it. (And yes, I love all of them and each of their voices “stand out” to me in different songs but Jimin’s just hits me in a unique way. I also have developed softer spots for Suga and RM, each for different reasons).

7:48 was so cute 😭 because that's me!!! I think Jimin resonates especially with all of us who like rock, metal, and the in-betweens (screamo lol, I went from emo to muscials to kpop ok) because his particular tone and register. I love Park Jimin's voice, and his stage presence, and his dancing, he's fantastic.
He is just a monster on stage. The cutie pie is scary good on stage. The duality in him is crazy. It makes us go crazy.
I saw BTS back in 2019 when I was almost 20 for their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour. By far, my favorite song I heard live was Outro: Tear. The energy of that song live is unmatched, the bass man, you can feel it in your chest. I also saw Yoongi (Agust D) a year ago and I loved hearing his iconic Agust D verse live! It was everything to me, I'll cherish it forever! They are the most incredible performers, I miss them so much 🥲
If you like Yoongi, you have to watch one of his solo concerts from last year. He was A M A Z I N G 💜💜💜💜

Saw BTS in Oct. 2018 at the O2 Arena and in June 2019 on Wembley. There are no words to describe the experience. They are indeed something else and once you attend one of their concerts you'll never be the same again.
11:22 NO , I almost did , twice , but just as i was about to get tickets, the site crashed and I missed out , they came to the uk back in 2018 and 2019 and I missed out so you can not believe how devastated I was , but I am telling you , when they are back in 2025 I will see them! I saw them live in 2019, Epiphany was probably the most memorable because I was going to cry. A stadium full of people singing "I'm the one I should love in this world" is an unforgettable experience.
My favorite live is the medley from Osaka - Dope/Baepsae/Fire/Idol. It's a great mix of them just doing their thing, running and dancing around the stage, and then going into the choreo. The energy is ridiculous - they're a little unhinged tbh (in a good way). I can't remember if you've done those songs or not. Baepsae doesn't have an MV, but it does have a dance practice and a necessary explainer video by DKDKTV.
The arrangements they use for concerts are often different than the recording and it's amazing. The remix for Fire in LA is one of my favorites - it's darker and heavier and I love it.

In that performance Jimin hits the most beautiful note I've heard in my life. I ascend every time I hear it. Let Me Know from the same concert is also excellent with another iconic Jimin high note.

I was at THIS concert!!! It was amazing!!! Their energy is unmatched. They draw in the crowd in with such a "You're part of this too" energy. Like we aren't just watching we are with them in that moment and that makes everything so much more incredible to experience. I can't explain it in a way that gives it any justice, you just have to experience it!
Enjoying your reactions. I have been an ARMY since 2014 and I turned 52 this year. I have been very fortunate to have seen BTS live in concert 10 times-all in the US-5 times in NYC, 1 time in Atlanta, and 4 times in L.A. It is a life changing experience. I am not joking. It is like having the best night of your life with 70,000 of your closest friends and family. ARMY really makes the experience more special. Tickets are so hard to get. We say it is like the Hunger Games. However, I would definitely recommend going at least once if at all possible.

I did see them in 2022 Las Vegas. Paid 1000 for my ticket. First tier 18 row seat 7. I was on their left. I wish I could have gone all 4 nights It was worth every penny! I was 49ish. 😂💜

I saw them live in 2018. (Had tickets for 2020, waaah, thanks Covid!) I didn't know them as well then as I do now, andthey were incredible live. Their energy is unmatched. And I've been going to concerts for a looooong fucking time. Made me a die-hard ARMY. They are IT.

They put everything into each and every concert. They are incredible live. Right from their start they always had the attitude was to the live shows. They practiced singing running on treadmills. But know that their concerts sell out in a blink and there are never any tickets for regular public. If they have a performance in UK know that people are so desperate for tickets that people will try to buy from anywhere in the world. But at least concerts are often live streamed.
On Jimin's voice-- He is a rather rare countertenor, higher than a tenor, with a unique timbre. I read a message from a musician who worked on the Jimmy Fallon Live performance of ON in Grand Central Station and Jimin sang during the rehearsals, no mic on. He said Jimin's voice produces extra harmonics and he felt privileged to have heard him.
You are a Yoonmin Bias hehehe. (Yoongi and Jimin) Jimin and Yoongi are like an old bickering married couple. As you go down the rabbit hole you will discover BTS member's relationships with each other and they have such a crazy dynamic. BTS is always good live no doubt. It is a testament to their hard work and dedication to their craft. and yes, because they are used to live band performances every time there is something new about the arrangement of their songs. So, no matter how many times you hear MIc Drop the arrangement and instrumentation will always offer a fresh sound. The guys are on hand when it comes to their productions so along the way they would make changes if they feel they need to. Enjoy your journey!
