Would stick the old trim back on van . to be fair its a decent van, they get seriously abused by some owners and this one is pretty straight. Concentrate on sorting the oil leak it will be a winner . Stick with it its often a bumpy ride fettling motors regards Rich
Would like to see a video on the BMW. Been seeing loads of 1 series being sold on eBay as spares or repair and have been tempted to snap one up as a project. Do you know if these engines have common problems?

Thing with Vans is they can be a little rougher around the edges as their work horses

Yep! It's a slightly different shade of silver. Didnt notice it when I 1st got the van.
Dont think it will matter much to be honest just change the handle and moulding as you say its an old van mate .
