Episode 2 in the series of designing a folder is here. This is my second shop-built knife, crafted in my shop mainly by my team.
In this episode, you will witness the design process unfold step by step - from the initial sketches made in a Manhattan bar back in February and until today where I now have the prototype, skillfully crafted by my team using 3D printing, and even showing the first prototype featuring a G10 handle.
Additionally, I share how a gentle reminder from an art museum played a crucial role in determining the name of the ‘baby’.

Thank you....That is not quite how the designing of Giantmouse knives work...we only produce designs made in collaboration between Vox and myself. This is a strictly Anso design.
@@jensanso I know, I guess I was just daydreaming that maybe GM could do more lock types so stuff like this would be afforded by more :) great work, also taking us though your though process is golden

Continually enjoying the peek behind the curtain, Jens. The Aros looks so appealing and native to your design language. I'll be keeping my eye out for the first run.
Do you expect to offer a preorder/book spots for these when the design is finalized like you have done for the Isola or previous models (like the upcoming Haddock spots this week)? Or are your future Shop Built knives going to drop in preconfigured style and quantities Launch 15 style, like my Anso Sheepsfoot?

Glad you enjoy the peak behind the curtain! ...and apreciate your kind words. The intend with the AROS is to offer it preconfigured just like the Sheepsfoot . As of now there is not plans to accept preorders for it.

Since the button lock is quite lefty friendly will the clip be reversibil ? 🔥
The clip will not be reversibility but I intend to offer it as a lefty version down the line if I get enough requests for it.

Yes that was correct. I use Rhino3D myself and my team uses Solidworks.

Thanks so much. Ya the chassis parts really turned this into an interesting project for me. Not sure how original it is but I never seen anything exactly like it at least.
