Unchainable and unmonitorable fire protection valve on the outside of the building. Real smart, Arizona haha. Also, it would be nice to see a hose connection before the PRV.

Thanks for the information. I will be moving into a house with fire sprinklers soon and this will help.

The Water supply valve at the entrance should be supervised to a minimum of a zip tie or breakaway lock. This service entrance is a perfect way for someone purposefully setting fire to the structure to impair it without restriction. The alarm flow control would also be impaired.

I personally don’t care much for residential fire protection systems that are separate from domestic water system. Reason being 90 % of home owners are ignorant of utility systems (HVAC,SANITARY,SEPTIC,WELLwater,MUNICIPALwater,ELECTRICAL) ask any trades person,in their home until they fail in some manor. By integrating fire protection into domestic in a series problems will show prominently and will be constantly “flushed” . I know this means eliminating dead end branches ,more careful planning . Doing this virtually eliminates “forgotten “maintenance. I have seen little attention paid to designs using this design premise.
