what is the meaning behind the song?

@@YukinoAniPiano A year late to this but if you've already figured it out I'll put this here for anyone else wondering.
Now firstly this is my interpretation of the song, and I'm not proficient with japanese but from what I can gather this song is ultimately about dealing with the loss of someone. We can infer this as the song utilizes cherry blossoms as a motif throughout, which in japanese folklore symbolizes both birth and death, here we are focused on the concept of death. In the music video, near the beginning, the woman interacts with a dog (looks sort of like a Shiba Inu/corgi? not sure it doesn't have a tail) and we can clearly see it reacting to her hand movements. Keep this in mind cause this will be important later on. After this, a cherry blossom petal falls and she picks it up, which starts the climax of the song.
Throughout the music video we can see her being surrounded by cherry petals in a variety of different places. Personally, I think this symbolizes her death (making reference to japanese folklore), and more specifically, later when she tries to interact with the dog again, it does not respond, implying she isn't really "there" anymore. Also, we see the couple standing in front of a cherry blossom tree, but the petals conceal her and when they disappear, she is gone. At the end of the music video, we can see it is no longer spring (apparent due to the lack of cherry blossoms) and we are given the point of view of the man (evident from the book he is reading) with what we can assume to be the woman walking their dog away. He opens his stationery box and the cherry blossom petal flies out, which previously the woman was holding close to her in the scene before. I think the woman walking their dog away along with the change in environment (no longer being spring) convey that they have moved on, and even though things may be differenet now, the man can still reminisce about their time together, which is reinforced when at the end of the video it suddenly cuts back into spring. The cherry petal flying out of his stationery box may be suggesting there is still a connection between the two, even though she is gone. From this, I think the title of the song becomes apparent, with "Spring Thief" really meaning that the couple's time together was stolen by the Spring, which is represented by the cherry petals/blossoms.
Sorry if this is a bit lengthy lol, I tried to keep it as concise as possible while explaining my interpretation. If anyone seeing this has any other interpretations or would like to correct me please let me know, I think the good thing about Yorushika's music is that there are multiple ways of interpreting and their meanings are very complex, some things might not show themselves even after you have watched/listened to their music loads of times.
