Again, absolutely outstanding job!!! I have used your videos for EACH assignment in my Stas II class. This is my 7th week and with your help I have gotten an A on EACH of my assignments so far. Thank you!!!!
Dr. Grande- This information was very informative when the assumptions when the T test were violated while using ordinal data. You gave a clear understanding on how to use this test and it was very easy to understand. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this video Dr. Grande. I appreciate how simple and clear the explanation and demonstration of this test was. The video was easy to follow and understand.
This test was straight forward and the instructional video was very helpful. This test is used to determine whether different samples mean ranks differ.
I have never heard of this particular statistical analysis prior to this video - very helpful in understanding that it is used when a t test assumptions are violated. As always, easy to follow steps as to how to conduct and read the stats with respect to the data.
Dear Dr Todd Grande, your explanation is superb! And really appreciate it! Can i give a chocolate?? The basic of assumption of paired t-test is violated, therefore, i am using Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. It is ordinal not nominal. Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test the null hypothesis that the median of the difference between post test and pretest equal zero. Many thanks! Have a nice day Dr!
Thank youk...One question please... how should write hypothesis for pre-post test control group design? Should we write 02 different hypothesis? one for pre-psot test scores of the treatment group and one for the post-scores for both groups? Or should we write just one statament subsuming both?
Which SPSS version are you using? I have version 25. I was wondering if there is a more recent video out there since my dialog boxes in order to choose the tests are very different.
Thank you for the video! When reporting the data in my paper, I want to report the mean instead of the median but I want to use this test to check if the scores are significantly different. Can I use superscripts to report the median difference on the means in the table?
Thank you Todd this was very helpful. However I have 2 questions. Q1. My data is ordinal and does not meet the assumptions for the parametric measure. However, I conducted both the paired sample t test and the wilcoxin signed rank test on my 2 time points for comparison sake and there is a very tiny difference in the significant p values between the two test. On that basis could I report the parametric rather than the nonparametric?. Q 2. The number of participants in my sample at time 2 is much lower than time 1 due to attrition. The paired sample ttest took care of this and selected only the cases that had data at both times so I had equal samples. However the wilcoxin has analysed the data with different sample sizes. For wilcoxin should I delete the cases that did not provide data at Time 2 before I run the test or is it ok to have unequal sample sizes in the analysis? Many thanks for your help. Margaret
What's the difference between this test and the Mann-Whitney U test ? I'm not fully getting when to use either. They both seem like the same or really similar
Hello! I have means big as 136 because I have put in the total value each participant for the questionnaire, could this be correct? (The highest score on the questionnaire is 180 and the lowest 36.) Thank you very much, super explanation!
What if I have nominal data instead of ordinal data, can I simply change the measure to ordinal and run the test? (Given that I have already defined values)
Thank You, Sir, its very helping video, I am trying to perform One Way ANOVA ( but my data is skewed: some values are under 1 and some are above 100) there is no group, so how I may proceed and which test would be specific for this kind of data?? Kindly provide your Email contact Thanks in advance Sir

Thanks Todd...without you I would have failed statistics for the past 4 years! much love
I'm glad you found the videos helpful - thanks for watching -
I could tell just by looking at your mustache that this video would be useful, thanks!
I can tell you without looking at your face that FLATTERING is your favourite hobby
Thank you very much Dr Grande. at last... I found video that I searched for.
thank you for the very detailed presentation. You helped me with my homework.
Very straight forward test. Could easily read the results for this within subject design. Thanks
Your videos are so helpful, THANK YOU!!
Thank you so much for the straight forward explanation!
Todd. You are an absolute legend mate. Life saver : )
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Great videos. Thank you! Well explained and clear!
Thank your Dr. Grande!
Haha I watch your vids all the time, Didn’t know you also made videos about statistical tests
thanks for your great explanation. but, what does the Z value means, please?
Simple and to the point! I like it!
What's about the z value? Does its value hold any meaning?
Thank you much.. Your video with great explanation helps me a lot! :)
You're welcome, thanks for watching -
Super useful video. Thank you.Great explanation!
thank you so much .. this video is awesome, it helped me a lot
Always helpful Dr. Grande. My question if the normality assumption is violated, can we still use paired T-Test? We appreciate it.
this was very helpful. could you please explain what the sum of ranks mean for the analysis?

I have a pre-post control group design; should I run Wilcoxon seperately for each group (control + treatment)? Thank you!

Thank you sir.
I have a query
How to find median in wilcoxon signed rank test..
Please guide

Dr. Gande, Could you please suggest a text that could help in writting the write-up for Wolcoxon's interpretations in APA format?
so if we fail to reject the null hypothesis we would presume that there is no difference between the 2 tests, correct?
sir. how about one tailed for wilcoxon test? how do we know it get increase or not?
What if I have nominal data instead of ordinal data, can I simply change the measure to ordinal and run the test? (Given that I have already defined values)
Is it possible to do a Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with scale instead of ordinal samples? Does is infact the outcome if it's not ordinal?
do you mean interval?
So helpful!
Thank You, Sir, its very helping video, I am trying to perform One Way ANOVA ( but my data is skewed: some values are under 1 and some are above 100) there is no group, so how I may proceed and which test would be specific for this kind of data??

Thanks in advance Sir
please indicate what to do when differences are zero
What's the deal with z, u ,p value ?
Helpful. thx
pak kalau variabel/perlakuannya ada 4 gimana ya pak? apa ttp menggunakan uji ini?
Thank you. Very helpful!
