@katspace can I self-sponsor if I am a freelancer working for US based client in tech industry and not as you explained which is related to arts or music?

@kmcstore615 Hello! I think not related to art industry is fine. But if you don't have clients from Japan, personally I think it could be difficult. Or you can consider with the Digital Nomad visa

Hi! Thank you so much for making this video!
I’m currently thinking of going the same path as I can’t find a job
I have a question if you don’t mind: How did you manage to make your part time job to sign the visa application (stamp and financial info)?
My part time doesn’t seem to agree to that at all and they state that they only support full timers for the visa….

      Hello! Thank you for watching!
I'm sorry to hear that :(
In my case, I just told them I'm applying visa, and the application need me to submit the company's information that I'm currently working for.

      Hello, thanks for watching!
I didn't look for a lawyer so I'm not sure. But I believe there's plenty of them that you can look up on internet!

Thank you so much for this info! Is it possible to apply with self sponsor if I don’t have prior experience working in Japan? I worked there for a year in the past but that won’t be related to the job I would be doing now.

So, if I am understanding this right - we can self-sponsor for something like an artist visa or an international services engineer without needing a company to sponsor? We can self-sponsor ourselves? (I'm only halfway through the video but it's great so far)

Hello! Technically yes, but most of us still have a contract with atleast one company in Japan (as part timer etc), but you doesn't need to be full timer and get bond with it (which is the usual case)

Hello! I'm not sure, but I guess if you meet all the requirements I mentioned in the video, I think there could be a chance.
But advisable to consult with professional first if possible!

What if your income does not come from a job? Or do they only accept people who can prove their income came from working for someone?

    • @Katspace___

The "freelance" visa is typically still a working visa, so you need an income from a job.
