Should be a Grammy for Celebrants-such an epic groundbreaking timely beautiful album!!
Fabulous to see them after all these years- they are and always have been incredible artists- Love Nickel Creek!
you'll never find a bigger fan of Nickel Creek than me! This performance only proves the musicianship and precision of their compositions! Vocals are equally good! LOVE YOU NICKEL CREEK.... Sarah Watkins....... MARRY ME!! lol
I love Sara's stage presence
We were there last night. Great band, great show, great venue!!
i love how good nickel creek's chemistry is, even in their banter - i keep thinking about the banter before thinnest wall where sara and chris manage to make the beginning/end of the relationship both funny and symmetrical. i crave that ability to write on the fly for myself so bad
Just open up and channel the songs are out there already like Keith Richards said we are just antennas
Thanks for this! A great capture of an incredible reunion tour. Was totally bummed i could not make it this time. there was a time i traveled to see em LOL!
this sound is amazing and video is great too. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing them in 2024 after not being able to catch them in 2023.
Love them
Love it
Thank you, what a treat!
Saw them in Santa Rosa last summer with my daughter. Such a great band!!!!!!
There aint a band who conveys so much emotion, talent, and power, than these 3 guys and gal. Yes i said 3 guys cause the upright bass dude is sick as f.
I hope they keep playing and having fun.
Envious to anyone whos seen them live. I wasted money on metallica 20 years ago and and this band has more talent in their little toes than the entire catolog of metallica.
Power aint just heavy music. Its evoking emotion.
Sue me, Lars, for defamation.
Nickel creek owns you.
Sad but true
Agree. I was a hard-core metallica fan for years. And then my ex introduced me to Nicke Creek. Switched from metal to bluegrass really quick ❤😊
The Thinnest Wall has one of the best fights between a mandolin and guitar I've ever heard.
@TuckerTheMandolinist I think of this album as a series of intertwined short stories with really amazing soundtracks. Even the instrumentals paint a great story. And they are all very well titled. I see "Despite the Weather" as prequel to "To the Airport..." Notice the titles. At the end of "To the Airport..." think of ... 2 hours earlier..." at the transition. and imagine the band trying to get to the airport in a snowstorm during "Despite the Weather".
NEW June 2024: Encore from Chris Thiele's solo show! th-cam.com/video/Id6kw5nCfXg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ntu4UUvBUQL0xDnA
That bass solo!!!.......what planet is he from?!!!!
Thanks for the upload, what a great band ! The sound of your video is really good, what device did you use to record ?
@@musicsdca thanks ! zoom quality is impressive for a phone camera too. Need to find an IPhone top 😀. Must have been a good time, band seems to be on top of their game on this show.
@@JonathanAucomte Great observation, couldn't agree more! The've been touring all summer and have become extremely tight. Touring a spectacular new album "Celebrants" sure doesn't hurt. All are perhaps the best there is at their respective instruments. Incredible vocalists too!
That gallop during Hayloft rivals David Byrne's running around the stage during Life During Wartime. (Except Chris Thile is doing it while soloing)
It's like CSN and Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks had 3 kids.
What?!!
Ahhh
This could be the best band on the planet. Sara is a ROCK star. . . Chris is the best picker in the world. . . And Sean is the most underrated guitar player ever. By the way, he is a nice guy. . . . It makes me happy that they have lasted so long. Celebrants got me through the pandemic. I love artists who can wear it. This group might be the best.
They are very good I've been a fan since the beginning but molly Tuttle and her new band and Billy strings and his new band are pretty damn bad ass their selves
It's like our own little bluegrass stars
