In this video, I will review and shoot the Wasp Apex +. I will talk overall shooting experience, specs, grip, edc and take some challenging shots. This John Jeffries/ Wasp co-design is an excellent slingshot that has me wanting a custom Apex.

Hey mark, I just wanted to thank you and the guys for the great advice. I fixed my elbow so the pouch is straight and i figured out that the main problem was the heat and sweat. Its around 30 degrees C where i’m at so I decided to hold the rough part of the pouch which helped a lot and to only shoot 15 minutes at a time to try to limit the sweat. anyway thanks for the help❤

Thanks man. When Instarted doing these many people were doing tabletop reviews. They are good for an introduction vid but you need to test and shoot in a review. There are things that will pop into your head when you are concentrating on the feel, design, comfort. Most of us pick up a slingshot and shoot it. I recently had a guy say a fork is a fork. You can take a tree branch and shoot great with it. I have found each slingshot I pick up and shoot has subtle differences that make it shoot different. That's the reason I have a forever collection some forks just shoot better for me in my hands.
@@ATOMark 100% agreed brother! I have several frames that I can shoot well, but it is very difficult to jump from one to the next sometimes, because each one requires a slightly different set of actions and positions. And yea, some frames just work better for me than others. Keep up the awesome videos bud!!👍👊

Nice review ATO, I've had a Prime Fork Apex frame and it shoots like a dream, had a rabbit kill with it and I'll never forget how simple it is. I'm keeping my budget straight until all of my finances are taken care of so I can buy frames like they're candy.
Ya I have to pump the breaks for a while too. I have a couple to review in the next few weeks but that will be it for a while. I will switch to latex for a bit.

nice frame ! I knew as soon as I saw it Mark, that one looked like a shooter.....especially in your capable hands, lol. I bet if you were crafty, and with as little as these cost, you could put the outside fork edges to a belt / disc sander, and make you a custom 90mm frame width easily enough ? It would be worth a try imho at this cost. I wish they had a toxic green frame with the black clips as I would be all over that, but will still probably get one based off this video, tks brother !
Hi Darrell, ya buddy it is a sweet slingshot. I actually thought about doing that. A couple quick touches on a belt sander and call it done. But I think I will leave it as is. I can still shoot the hell out of it. Maybe if the Christmas bonus is nice this year I'll see if John can make me a custom in carbon and red G10. I think that slingshot would look excellent in ATO channel colors

When I shot my short, I thought it felt natural to shoot, but I thought I got lucky on a few shots. I take that back now. That Apex + is something special!

Thanks bro. It is an extremely well designed slingshot. I find often there are a lot of subtle points that get missed on slingshots that really can make or break a slingshot. John really smashed this one out of the park man. Fantastic design

@@ATOMark I got the .6 and .7 I shoot 9.5 steel but when I was there Simon convinced me to try some 8mm steel with .5 snipersling so that’s my plan I’ll get some 8mm orders 👍🏻

Mine came with just the frame.. personally I don't like pre-made bands. I am very picky about how I set up my elastic so just a frame works for me.

You can't go wrong with wasp. I think they do sell pre made bands on their website. Just match the bands to your ammo and you are good to go. For the price, designs and quality you can't go wrong with wasp. If you ever have any questions shoot me a message and I will try andnhelp you out.

Great video and man why couldn’t they be in 90mm to 85mm , 95mm makes no sense to me when most people shoot 90-85mm
Wasp didn't have a 95mm frame and lots of people were asking. I hope they come out with a 90mm that would be perfect.
Where would bands fit if there 18 wide bands would they sit in midle or end of clamps new to slingshot apex shane uk

John knows nobody will buy his customs if he makes 90mm he did the same with the mustang making it 85mm if you want one of his slingshots in 90mm you need to pay silly money 😁
John himself shoots 85mm so I get it. I may spend some silly money for an Apex in 90mm one year with my Christmas bonus or some youtube money saved up. 🤔 you never know what the future holds
I really don't understand the hype around slingshot frames when you can watch someone shoot frameless and hit a lighter at 100 metres. They are nothing but a fork, and if you can shoot as good with a tree fork, why is anyone bothering to spend $100 on a frame?

Some people like to collect them. Just like stamps, coins or Pokemon cards. Same deal. I have a bunch of slingshots that I cut from tree branches and shoot great with them. As for the TH-cam money goes....lol you can throw that one at me when I reach 100000 subs.
