Unfortunately I know from experience that buying used sets on facebook marketplace are rarely complete, even when they say its “complete”, apparently “complete” has a relative interpretation…, Im the same as you! It just feels wrong to leave a set incomplete, dirty or with broken pieces. I even like to have a physical copy of the instructions :), hopefully we will see a follow up video when youre bricklink order arrives and you can put it back in its original glory, this set deserves it! :)
Big fan of the content, and a big fan of this set. Brittle brown sucks, at least most of the parts in sets like this are pretty basic. Edit 2) 2017 was the year they changed the brown dyes again, 2009-2016 are the big years affected. They made the announcement about the change late 2018 i think in case they had issues with the new dye as well
Have been picking up BrickLink orders to complete Log Cabin #5766, and had a reddish brown plate completely crumble on me when I tried to detach it from other plates in the order. Le sigh.

Yeah at the end of the day, it’s not a huge deal but a good learning experience! Parts on their way as we speak!
