Honestly, it sounds more convincing than the actual fake Windows startup sound since the original was taken from a low quality video of the Server 2003 promo.
Your rendition of the XP startup and shutdown would be PERFECT for a desktop theme. Just a heads up though, the Longhorn beta startups you used are fake, but they sound really nice anyway.
this video was made prior to the discovery of windows “longhorn” sounds were fake and actually used windows xp sounds and the fake sounds were used in a samsung theme of Windows XP.
Do you still have the files for these sounds? If so, do you think you could export them to something like FLAC, and make each individual sound available? These sounds are fantastic!

The Longhorn sounds and 2000 sounds always give me the chills. Love them though!
Actually isn't the real startup of Windows Longhorn (Vista), it was a theme and sound pack done by Samsung for Windows XP
