    Hey those crimps on the ends of the pipes don't really need to be there. But it would be better if they were. The crimps are there to give the clamp something to keep the hose from sliding off. If it's a naturally aspirated car like yours the crimps don't matter as much. But if your car has a turbo those crimps need to be there. I get that you needed to do what you needed to get it to fit right. But you can use a pair of wire crimping pliers to put a quick crimp in the hose. It's not a pretty fix but it works and is only seen when you take the hose off
