I think Heen got a counter for the popular sven draft with the Veno + AA WK lanes which dominated laning phase and the dusa which is the late game win condition. Game 2, Heen drafted using the same concept, but ROTK was able to respond with the ES which helped VG in the early game. I suppose Heen didn't expect VG to find a way around his draft and had to ban out the sven again, and leave the warlock open which just add so much to VG's team fight and lane sustenance
I think if TNC got ES instead of letting it be used by VG, they would've won. Armel had the advantage vs Ori in the early game but Fade's ES kept on roaming mid. Also, Tims is one of the best users of earth spirit. And DS was the main solution vs AA, Veno and WK draft that TNC used in game 1. Sven didn't have any mobility to hit but having surge was all he needed to be able to close the distance to slug it out vs TNC's cores.
@@martin4484 I agree that taking es out of VG draft would have helped TNC greatly. But I doubt TNC would pick it, cos the way their lane work is static heroes who can zone out their opponents, not roamers who ganks to win the lane. But I wonder if Heen would have tried the same draft for game 3 but take es out of the draft and win with the same formula as game 1. But glad to see SEA playing some good games, Fnatic was really disappointing. Lots of good players but no teamwork. Hoping for an exciting TI
zhcterry But it’s better to get a roaming hero that would guarantee that Storm would have a better game than Sniper. That was what happening that’s why Fade had to roam to mid lane to make sure Ori has a good start but if he didn’t Storm would own that matchup. The only reason they picked ET was to help control Kuku’s lane but they could’ve sacrificed thar to ensure Storm’s good start and Sniper’s bad start, we all know how hard it is to come back as a Sniper when Storm’s around. Also, Tims could’ve helped Kuku every now and then and not stay in lane just like ET did.
@@martin4484 in that case it does sound pretty appealing. Sniper is really squishy early game too. I just didn't think TNC expected VG to come up with a counter, so they didn't feel a need to introduce a roaming hero into their draft. But I'm not sure why Heen didn't just roll with their original plan and banned out or pick the earth spirit in game 3
I watched bits of these games live and it was extremely frustrating. TNC had a stellar first game and then attempted the same strategy for the second one, except it didn't work because VG mixed up their draft a bit and picked up the Dark Seer, which meant Sven could actually do something. Tims played extremely well in all three games, but TNC seemed to struggle overall with supporting, especially with vision. Just look at the minimap at basically any point in any of the games - VG's wards were always set up ahead of time for where they wanted fight next, while TNC had precious little vision out much of the time. Their smokes were decisive and they knew exactly where to go. TNC seemed to be counter-warding the whole time - you can see these clusters of sentries all over the place - which means they were letting VG dictate the pace of the game. TNC's #3 draft was awful. I don't get why you'd have Centaur and ES together, especially when they have a Mars (four melee heroes into a line up that includes Mars, Troll and a scary Ori DP - blimey). There was little synergy with the Grimstroke and the Alchemist pick was weird. What was it supposed to achieve? Tims spent much of the laning phase helping out Alch, and Alch got massive while the rest of his team got eaten alive and got no help. Frustrating because they were out-drafted and outplayed, which is a shame because I've really been enjoying TNC this season - they've been an excellent team and are frequently exciting to watch.

sa game 3 masyadong over confident ung alche sa octarine.. nag build muna sana sia ng bkb.. tapos nagpapa bait yung core na wala yatang bkb.. alche malakas sa early to mid game dapat sa kanya nakafocus ang atention ng team..

At least the casters were supporting TNC all game. lol
TNC is somehow getting better, at least they won game 1. However heen couldn’t help them more.

Ghedneil Dagalea just a weak carry afterall, cannot even compare to M-God
