    It would be awesome if we had a google sheets matrix of your stick reviews, with all the specs in terms of puck feel, pinginess, shot power etc.. Its so hard to shop for sticks these days since the companies keep changing the way their sticks feel. I really loved how the FT3 pro and QRL were in terms of pinginess and its difficult to find a replacement.

    Great video! I've been using the Trigger 3D for years now and my stockpile is running low so I'm going to need new stock. How do the newer Trigger X and Trigger X Pro sticks compare in terms of puck feel? From your videos it sounds like the Trigger X Pro models have the nice dampen feel but was wondering if the Trigger X models have the same feel.

    I think the blade on the og Jetspeed was supposed to have hollow chambers in it

    Hi Mate , always watch your videos I agree that there should be a spread sheet of pingy to more dampened blade it would really help everyone when shopping for new sticks , so in conclusion, are you saying the more soft the blade the better puck feel and the more pingy the blade is it’s not as good of a puck feel, I got the Ft6 my god the puck feel is terrible , I got the Bauer hyperlite 2 I like stick handling and puck feel is great just like my trigger 7 pro , Bauers proto R is so pingy . Keep the videos coming !

      So, first blade feel and pinginess is totally a personal preference thing. Some people like a more dampened feel and others like their sticks to basically vibrate in their hands. Most NHL players have a more dampened feel though compared to retail. But there isn't one that is better than the other.
      Hyp2 blade is basically one of the pingiest blades on the market, so surprising you like that compared to the Trigger 7 Pro.

    Thank you so much for breaking down to the science of this! My favorite as been the jetspeed team stick that ajhl teams used from 2020-2022. The rounded shaft with the p90 curve was the sweet spot!

    I’ve had an idea for a project and was curious, what would be the best way to get a large amount of used sticks? I want to make a “throne” of sorts using both left and right hand blades and a few left and right hand goalie sticks as well. I would try to buy them but I can’t even afford a new stick much less a few dozen… I would want to make it so it could fit on my manual wheelchair that way I could use it if I ever get to go to a game. Try to get pro’s to surrender there sticks to be “added to the throne”, lol. It’s highly unlikely that I would actually get to a game but it’s a fun idea. Maybe just make a rocking chair for my little corner of the house.

      I would reach out to companies like Hockey Stick Man or Harmens Hockey and see if they have extras they aren't going to use.

    Very interesting video! I typically lean towards stiff blades but I have a closet full of broken twigs from various pro stocks. You have given me motivation to dissect some blades.

    Sick video. Love this stuff. That hallow blade was probably an RBZ construction.

      @HockeyReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      RBZ would've had the metal insert, evidently it is a Jetspeed.

    That Stastny Warrior could be a Covert QRL with the Dagger Taper. That didn't have the QRE taper.

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It isn't a Covert, QRL still had a unique taper when it came out that is easy to spot. This thing is way thicker and most likely a Dynasty of some sort.

    interesting that all the sticks with great puck feel break in the blade. My nexus sync literally lasted 4 games. FT ghost and Trigger 8 are breaking way more than Trigger 7 and ft6. sadly.

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      From the retailers that I have talked to, FT6 Pro is the worst for durability by far.

      @@HockeyReviews really? mine is awesome. no issues for over 6 months. BUT the blade feel isnt that great. i sure hope trigger 8 will last that long. if so i am sold.

    Great video, do you have any opinions on how taping methods can effect blade feel.. like having a strip on the bottom etc?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A single piece of tape won't really affect the feel, but if you obviously wrap the stick over and over it will have an affect and you shouldn't do that 😂

    • @Ryan-ud9fk
      @Ryan-ud9fk 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HockeyReviews I saw this video where he says the tape can help with blade feel th-cam.com/video/4ktSnACkpxs/w-d-xo.html

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Ryan-ud9fk like I said, a single piece of tape isn't going to affect the feel. You would have to use more layers to dampen it, but I would never recommend that. Why would you want to add physical cushioning to your blade when shooting?
      The foams, inside the blade are acting as dampeners for vibrations, they don't cause the carbon to be softer and flex inwards.
