I paired a zombie and sunflower from Plants vs Zombies together and thought it was cute. I've loved this little game for forever.

And the books confirmed this, in The Lawn of Doom, Three zombies (a regular, a imp, and a garg) get launched off to a far away party, where they started become good friends with the citizens of neighborville.
Yeah, the books(and even the first game) confirm that while zombies no longer have the lights on, someone *is still there*
Zombies have the intelligence to develop personalities around what they like(all star, disco, bobsled), they can experience fear and trauma(failed-ducky tubes), they can learn new things(imp), and can feel sadness and grief(gargantuars), and that’s all just in the 1st game. What’s more, grave-buster volunteers at a rehab center for zombies, suggesting that there are basic zombies who genuinely want to kick their brain cravings
And in “bully for you” all the zombies have the intelligence and emotional intelligence to recognize and want the benefits of turning against Dr. Zomboss at the lead of Zomboss’ former(and current) bullying victims, as Zomboss kept them in cramped lockers while the rebels offered entire dorms for them
All in all, the zombies are like the orcs of LoTR, they’re the army of an evil man, but they’re not an army of evil people, the zombies can be redeemed

@@johnmoreno6903I always wondered what happened to the orcs after LOTR, like did Aragorn kill them all? Or did Eru enact some grand plan to redeem the survivors from Morgoth’s corruption.
@@tiringsarcasm the orcs have their own personalities and can choose a pacifist life, as did two orcs of Sauron I believe when they made plans to leave and live together in a land far far away from the constant warring
But, when it comes to redemption, every orc’s soul is an elf soul that’s been twisted with corruption, imagine a orc soul as a length of string that’s been tied in on itself over and over, and an elf soul as a straight length of string, when an orc dies for good, their twisted soul is steadily unraveled, this takes time but eventually, if their soul isn’t reclaimed to be used in a new orc, they’re unraveled into an elf soul, this soul then goes on to the appropriate elven afterlife
So, despite the fact they can be redeemed under the right leadership, orcs ultimately will be genocided by the elves in a campaign to ‘purify’ them, and it does not help that the cycle of violence will fuel this campaign, elves and other races will attack orcs for being Sauron’s soldiers, forcing many orcs to hold onto their old ways of evil militarism, some orcs will still turn a new leaf, only to be hunted by elves or harassed by other races, further dissuading orcs from being pacifist, and so the wars start anew as the orcs are warring for the right to live while elves and others want them ‘purified’/exterminated, it would require the elves’ acceptance of their right to exist for orcs to be given the proper chance of redemption
So, TLDR is that the orcs very likely return to war at the end, not to ravage as they once did, but to be on the defensive to just live

The worst thing is that the zombie cannot cry and instead of tears, a drop of rain rolled down his eye. It's very sad that this is the only way this zombie can express any emotion...damn hit hard

It's ok, they went and recorded a legendary music video afterwards.
It took about 15 years for pvz angst. Absolutely incredible.
I love this! It really captures how a zombie could feel especially when you use raindrops coming off of his eyeballs, I really would love to see future protects like this! I think pvz is underrated when it comes to classic game mode.
Pretty sure it’s canon that the sunflower is the only plant that chooses not to attack the zombies

I like how the sidewalk acts as a sort of wall separating the world of plants and the world of zombies.
Everybody asking "Why and Where are the Zombies?", but no one asking "How are the Zombies?"
I wish pvz did more with its story, I always wanted to do a series where a gardener went into detail about the plants biology, the ideas are there but it's usually overlooked for making the series overly corny and silly, this to me proves with the right person you could make something really captivating with the ip.
i mean. its literally a game about plants firing vegetable based artillery at zombies. why WOULDN'T it be corny and silly?

I dunno, I like when things don’t really want to have deep stories and explanations for everything- I mean yeah, PvZ could definitely be doing more with some sort of story, but I don’t know if it’d really be the same if there was biological explanations for how each plant works- being corny and silly is part of PvZ’s charm, it’s part of what makes it so special- how do the peashooters shoot peas? They just do, it’s always been that way, and I feel that it’s better off not really being revealed- story isn’t really everything in a series, sometimes it’s about charm, or wackiness, or the characters themselves- and I feel like PvZ as a whole would benefit from a little story (more than what’s being done with its story now, I’ll say that much-) with a lot of wacky-

As a PvZ enthusiast, I gotta correct u on this. PvZ zombies are made that way by the big bad Dr. Zomboss. They were never human, but basically they are made to hunt down actual humans and eat their brains (and plants along the way). They do have distinct personalities though if I recall and this one in particular doesn’t like to be violent.

I don’t exactly know how Zomboss came to look like how he currently does, but I do know that he looked like that since his college days with Crazy Dave. So, I theorize that he was born that way.

I wasn't expecting to see a animatic about PVZ of all things, but I'm legit happy this exist. I loved PVZ since I was a young kid and have been still kicking myself for literal years for deleting the game years ago to make room for other stuff and not getting it back literally 3 days before it was droppecd from the appstore for good. Why they even deleted it is beyond me. I still long to play it again after so many years. I've been considering even getting the DS version of the game to scatch that itch. It's just such a replayable game that I loved coming back to over and over again after I 100% every time because it was so much fun and just has so much personality to it. I loved reading through the character bios and scroling dow the same to the dirt and stuff where you could see the other side of the world where you ended up in China I thought was the coolest thing ever to dicover as a kid. Man I am getting emotional over this, because this game does hold a special place in my heart.
Anyways you just nailed the PVZ style so well, especially with the zombie. Like I am just floored how accurate he is. And how the hand looks good! Like I have bene drawing for years and the hands that look good and right still allude me. Just everything about Zombie looks spot on and it's fantastic. My heart went out to the tired yet apprecaitve look Zombie had, but my heart then absolutely melted when they held hands/leafs with Sunflower rubbing his knuckles to comfort him. That's so sweet and cute. I remember Sunflower being a sunny and sweet little thing so it's very accurate for her. I can see her listening to a sad zombie pour his heart out to her and comforting him. The raindrops acting as tears because the zombie isn't able to cry (which makes total sense and never thought about it till now) is just genius and creative. I just love everything about this animatic. You just made my night. Thank you for that.

In the “zombie on your lawn song” the football zombie has a line where he says he USED to play football, implying that he did at one point but doesn’t anymore. Because he died.
When I was a kid that fact made me so sad for him. He must have loved it considering he was buried in his uniform.
To be so passionate for something, just to have death take it away from you must be hard.
Anyways, what I’m trying to say is it feels good to be vindicated for angsting over the pvz zombies. Thought I was alone for a sec.

I like how it's actually lore accurate too. One, there are zombies who do not want to fight for zomboss, and they have actively gone on strike before infact. Two, all plants in the Plants vs Zombies universe can uproot themselves and walk around, as seen in the comic books, so that's also accurate. Also, the voices make sense because all sunflowers are girls (with the exception of Fred, and Fred's ancient dinosaur ancestor.)

A rebel Zombie could be something like a zombie which used to be a gardener or florist when he was alive, and due to his past, he began to develop a love for the plants and became a traitor to the zombie army

@@dashret410 i mean fair enough but those are not really gardeners. Or at least they are not the type of gardeners that care for plants and their growth.
If anything, their existence is an excuse to have things like weed eaters and weed killer sprays as weapons for the zombie faction.
Basically what i ask for is some type of botanist, florist or gardener zombie that is a good guy and cares for the life of the plants.

The Zombie has so much emotion despite not facially emoting as much as your average tv character.
Fun fact: In Gravebuster’s almanac entry for PVZ 1, it mentions that a zombie rehabilitation center does canonically exist, and Gravebuster does help out to support the cause. This means that this animatic could canonically be possible in the PVZ universe.
In the back of my mind, I've always wondered if the zombies truly did what they did out of pure evil, or if it was because they were forced against their will to fight against the plants.
I love the concept that not all zombies are evil, Also, when was the last time we ever saw a plant befriend a zombie? It's so wholesome

in the comics, a few of the zombies, mostly named ones, show off more complex emotional capacity than most that just walk around and aimlessly shamble. they are SEEN to have goals, ambitions, likes, dislikes, things that excite and upset them. they have a zombie SHCOOL / COLLEGE. i would not be surprised if at least ONE zombie decided that they didnt really wanna destroy things like this guy here!

Finally, The Good Zombie.
I think this would have gone way better with the gargauntuar rather than a regular zombie, since, even for zombie standards, they are seen as big bulky strong guys that shred everything in their way (also every zombie wants to be like them because "it's cool)

I like the thought that the zombies (or at least some) dont like to hurt people, but are juet doing it out of instinct. Like when you hit someone when you get scared or try to protect yourself. It makes them seem much more tragic and human

This is beautiful... the art stays on model, so fluid. The rain pouing on his eye, letting him cry a tear after death. Sunflower caressing his hand. And the story, of course, he doesn't want to, aftwr all he was human once, wasn't he? All this from a plants versus zombies animation. Crying rn
The crazy thing about plants vs zombies is that the war between plants and zombies is just like our wars, soldiers who are forced to fight for a higher being who treats them like tools.
