Absolutely love them things. Going to have to make a trip here soon and just actually target them, the blues are just a little easier for me. Thank you.
He ended up getting him a nice one that day. But I tell you what Wednesday he took over the show, no matter what they were on his side of the boat. Ha ha thanks Rod
Thanks Calvin, unfortunately, I botched things up out on the river with my camera and forgot to save two really nice fish. It’s a lot of fun but it’s also a lot of work invested into it with the wind and depending on what kind of bottom I’m drifting in.
I’m just starting but 👍 cuz you stay putting em in the boat and even from land. Appreciate ya bringing us along and all the great tips for fishing and gear bro🫡💯🔥
Thanks Terry. Man, it’s definitely been fun here lately. I believe this coming Saturday night is going to be some work since these guys are all starting their spawn up.
Appreciate the videos and enjoy watching the rods bend. I've spent a lot of time watching videos on how to properly use your electronics. Can you show what you are seeing in one of your next videos when you say you see fish down below?
That’s a great idea. I’ll try to make that happen, I actually have a couple videos already coming, but it will be the third or fourth one out. I’m not the best with the electronics, but I can tell on the screen when the fish are coming up and sniffing at the bait, you’ll see a line come from the bottom right up, it’s like a nervous looking screen
@RIVER LUNACY I've learned quite a bit on how the colors of the marks on the screen show up can sometimes tell you if it's a scaled fish like gar or like the skin cats have. My issue is how to read them if they are lying real close to the bottom or buried in the mud.
They were really bad a week ago but I think I’m going Saturday night. I want to do a couple drifts and then maybe do a little anchoring up on some rock piles for flatheads
Yeah, it got rough yesterday with the wind and barges, I had to troll downstream to get a few more fish. It got so aggravating I decided I would just drag back up to my starting point where I ended up packing up and all of a sudden the darn planner board started ripping across the water as I was spot locked ha ha.fish on. Thanks 🙏
Awesome video! New subscriber! Watched your videos to learn a few things as I’m getting into drifting! Out of curiosity what settings do you record on? You have a perfect wide angle going! Thanks!
If I’m drifting, I run two cameras one on each side. I use looping mode on 20 minutes and super view. Thanks for watching and keep your eyes out. Been fishing like crazy but it’s not been so hot with our river being flooded but they are coming.
@@riverlunacy thank you! And yeah, we were going to let her settle down some before we gave it a shot! I got my PB flat head last season, 43in & 34lbs was a tank!
@rebeccaandjosh yes, that’s an awesome fish. We still have a few monsters hiding. welcome aboard hope you enjoy the videos, like I said, keep an eye open make sure you hit the bell, so you’re notified, usually one through two videos a week, but with the circumstances it’s been a hard deal right now. Guess we’ll find out what happened Saturday night
@@riverlunacy I typed up one reply. I don’t know what happened… anyways thank you! It was definitely a nice fish! Also I’ll be tuning in from time to time! But I’m a content creator, myself and we actually fish daily, weather permitting! We do a little bit of everything, but primarily started out, kayaking the rivers, catching any and everything! But I enjoy fishing for anything! Later on last season, we ended up picking up flathead fishing! My buddy, took us out, drifting for blues. Rebecca caught one he caught one, and we sat up in some creek mouths, and that’s when I landed my PB flathead. We haven’t had the proper set up to record at night yet, so I don’t really have any footage from our Catfishing adventures on my TH-cam! Plus my Facebook really took off. I’ve become a digital creator there and became monetized and that’s where I’ve been more focused on putting my content.. If you have a Facebook you can look me up, Josh Wheeler you’ll see the flathead in my profile or I think you can search Josh.Wheeler.12 & it should pop up! Good luck Saturday! What area do you fish? As of right now, my buddy introduced me to the Marietta area for drifting! But I’m sure it’ll expand soon as I learn more!
This video has some cast netting. I haven’t been after the moon eyes in a while just because I’m trying to really get on the water quickly and the last time I went for them was very poor. Skipjack are far and in between. I usually get a load of those early spring and late fall so I don’t have to try and mess with them through the summer. appreciate you watching. Hope you enjoyed the video.
They do not freeze very well, but they will still work. I usually just use wax worms. I don’t fish for them very often just because they are so time-consuming and hit or miss.
I’d say you’re more than safe with a four and a week with zero current. The only thing that would really push your line up would be the wind pushing you.
You might even want to try a 3 ounce. It’s just really gonna matter how much wind you’re gonna have that’s gonna be the only thing that will lift your line. Really just wanna make sure you’re straight up and down. Always figure the least weight you have the better that Fish is going to take off with the bait
I’ll try to throw that in sometime when I am actually catching them on the main strip itself. It’s hard to record out there doing that and deal with the trolling motor along with current. I usually go up in a creek and throw for shad. I lost my favorite nut yesterday out on the main Ohio river. Throwing for shad. Right in a tree ha ha
Check out one of my videos I did recently it’s called when a flathead catfish hits. A little bit of net throwing in that. My friend Jamie from Rivers blood also took some footage of me doing it, he might’ve explained it a little better
Love the Flatties. Keep up the good work Boss.

Some really nice fish. Dad couldn’t take the pressure and come a running. Glad to see y’all fishing together. Great video.

Hey guys nice job. Man I been working like a madman but I'm gonna get caught up on these videos 💪
All good Mikey. Definitely some good trips here lately. Although we’re heading into the spawn I’m not giving up.
Some nice ones

Great video ! Glad to see they are still biting .
I’d say they’re slowing down a little bit, the bigger ones anyway. This was a week ago but I was out Wednesday and still managed a few.

Another good catch.
Tha Bob. Things were pretty tough last night. I only got a few, I’m guessing there’s a cold front with this rain or something
Whats white rod and setup you using ?? Looks good, has some backbone to it

Ishiguro always good at night but the bugs drive me crazy

@@riverlunacy so do you freeze moon eye? Didn't know if they freeze OK... I've never caught them. I hear crickets? Yes, great video!

Great Video Bro ! What size drift weights you using ?
8 oz. On this river seems to work best to keep it straight down. Thanks for watching Buddy. I appreciate it.
@@riverlunacy What would you run in a Lake ? 4oz probably

In a lake* stupid voice text. It just says whatever it wants anymore.

James, did you catch a bunch of mooneye? Not asking for your spot but where you catching them off a parked barge? Silo?
I did not catch very many at all. Current seams and scum lines.spinning spots
Make a video of how you catch bait on the ohio river

How many rods can one person use on the Ohio River , anyone ?
Depends on your license, Ohio is three, Kentucky unlimited
@@riverlunacy I appreciate your reply , Thank You🐋
Why are you fishing for fun when you could be eating😮😢
I love the thrill and already had dinner waiting 😂
