Even in 2020 I still believe this is one of the best CGI fight scenes in a video game. No crazy powers or anything. Just a fight between an assassin and his target.

Creativedreams420 batman was most definitely not playing. They were fighting in an unstable place and deathstroke’s arrival was completely unexpected to batman. What do you think he will use in that situation? Fire missiles from his bat mobile or that plane thingy? He used batrang and his grapple gun what he mostly uses in a fight, he takes advantage of environments and he actually managed to push slade off the edge but slade is a superhuman, not just everything works on him.
Batman v superman isn't a fair fight at all. If batty boi doesn't have a green rock near him he's fucked. And I really dislike superman he's just, boring. I mean he's practically invincible there's never a real challenge. Batman on the other hand, well you could say he's boring but at the end of the day he's just a man, and a bullets a bullet. Being an expert love child of van damme and a skinny Stephen segal will only get you so far.

Well, tbh the fight with Deatshtroke was way better in this trailer than in the game itself. Just repetitive button-mashing.
And its ending in the game was terrible. Deathstroke would never turn to Batman and ask with a weak voice: "what....are you????"

I love how one of deathstrokes abilities is fast thinking and adaptation, and they show it when he uses his staff as a pole midair or starts fighting with a broken sword without missing a beat
Just make Superhero films like this and I will be so happy, think of what you can do with all the money and CGI. I don't want any self-entered, egoistic and fame hungry live actors for these films who takes away half of the production cost just to show their face in the film even though their character is supposed to wear mask and say cheesy dialogues! :)

I think Deathstroke should have been the final boss, rather than Bane. Could you imagine finally facing the Joker inside Blackgate, and it was Deathstroke at his side? Also the mid-credits scene felt rather irrelevant, since Deathstroke didn't make an appearance in Assault on Arkham.

It would be have great if the Deathstroke boss battle took place in the same setting as it did in the trailer. Even better if Deadshot was somehow involved (always liked the idea of the assassins just as likely to fight each other as they are to fight Batman).
The fact that deathstroke instantly understood the position of the sniper that is deathshot was incredible it requires years of experience to understand where the sniper is just by looking through 2 shots

Batman can beat a lot of heroes and villains but not like how people think. It depends on Batman's motives and what he's doing. Its been done many times Batman mops the floor with some badass hero or villain but then loses to the same person in another story. Batman thinks. No he can't out power a god or beat a god in a fist fight but he'll find out what can kill a god and use it against them. Its been done. Don't believe the hype about Batman being able to beat Superman. The match up would last as long as Superman let's it. Yes if anyone can bring El to his knees its Batman but when Superman had enough its over. The reason Batman is among the greatest is because he thinks and because he's human. He's ultimate. He's the guy that many fear but he can be defeated. That's the best thing about him. His reputation is being ruined by the fanboys stuck up their own asses. Batman is my favorite and that's because he doesn't need super powers or a high tech power suit. Its okay for him to lose. He's that hero.

Exactly i keep saying in the comics people said before this games released "theres no way batman can beat deathstroke" but they all got shut up now in the comics batman could have beaten deathstroke easy but he was motivated to helping deathstroke instead of beating him up here though he's given up on that and kicked his ass.

Deathstroke's been either nerfed, the writer having Slade not be a super soldier or simply make him a jobber and lose to Damian Wayne lmao which is of course non canon as well. These days he's powered down specifically against the Batfamily. Deathstroke's beaten characters that can end Batman in a heart beat if it wasn't for the writers disgusting and inconsistent writing.

This just shows Batman would really have hard time dealing with Deathstroke, most of the time he even fails to take him out. See that moment where Deathstroke was distracted by Deadshot's interference, Batman had his chance to attack him unguarded yet Deathstroke still backs up and kicks ass.
Wdy mean his gun got kicked out of his grip and he got choke slammed to the dock now considering batman is human manhandling a super soldier like that is astonishing

Deathstroke have super strength, reflexes, and regeneration if i remember correctly. So in 1 vs 1 battle with no super weapons or some deadly traps, i dont see how batman could beat deathstroke. But i like this game because they made deathstroke as playable character in challenge maps, so this game have my respect.
while that's true, Batman is still a peak human and a superior martial artist, which allows him to still be able to give Deathstroke a good fight before being defeated, (deathstroke himself admitted that without his enhancements and regeneration he would lose to batman)
and then when u factor in the heavy duty armour batman is wearing (which would help insulate against some of deathstroke's hits and increase the impact of Batman's own) it could help his chances,
plus in the game he first throws deathstroke's sword at him to distract him for a split second, and then used the opening to kick him in the face with an armoured boot, the fact that deathstroke was only rendered unconscious and seems fine a few hours later (not having a concussion or a skull fracture or something) is probably a testament to his healing factor and how strong he is.
FalconFlyer75 Actually, Batman has defeated Deathstroke before, in the Terminator if I recall correctly, so Batman can defeat Slade. Yeah Deathstroke has the edge in physical abilities, but Batman is smarter and more skilled fighter, and he has more various and advanced gadgets than Deathstroke. Also, Bruce has other skills than just martial arts that he uses in battle. He has great perceptive skills, unmatched acrobatic skills and reactions, he is highest rank escapting artist, hunter, trace tracker, he has a great expirience in using environment and acustic/visual illusions against his enemies, he is very creative, quick thinking and skilled in exploting any slightest weakness he finds in techniques and strategies of his enemies. All this are only battle skills, Bruce has so many other skills he uses for detective work, engineering and other stuff that it's hard to count. But Slade.. is basicaly martial arts and strategy geek, that's about it. He was just a soldier and a merchant. Bruce with his versitile skill set really has the upper hand. If it wasn't for Deathstroke's superpowers, I'd say Batman wouldn't have too much trouble fighting him whatsoever. But even as it is, Batman can win a fight with Deathstroke, properly using his wide range of skills set and gadgets to make up for Deathstroke edge in straigth hand to hand combat.

In one of their fights he sneaked up on Slade and beat him, for the rest of fights i don't know.
Batman already is the best super hero after Superman, and I as his fan also say he could beat DS, but we are talking here about straight up fight, no gadgets, 'heavy' weapons and traps.

I am not taking any credit off DS, he is badass as hell and in my oppinion he can step flat on many DC superheroes, but not Batman.
Deathstroke has only slight physical edge, because he wasn't anywhere near strongest human on earth before the experiment, and the same experiment only increased his physical conditions a couple times, giving him atributes only slighlty more powerful than these a human can regurarly achieve. Bruce is nearly his match in physicality because Batman is on absolute peek of human condition, he is so durable that he can take many hits from meta-human level opponents without fainting, he is so strong he can clear punch police officer through brick wall (by the way, DS himself said once that Batman punches harder than most meta-humans he met) he is so perceptive he can dodge bullets by just observing the angle of the gun and so agile he can escape any trap and sight in a matter of short seconds. Also, he is more talented and smarter fighter, he is absolute genius on dozens of levels, including martial arts.
Also, you can't discount Batmans victory beacuse he achieved it via surprise attacks, that is how Batman fights - he finds the weakest spot and attacks, he is a ninja, he strikes from the darkness, he uses his environment, traps, gadgets, anything he can find to get to higher ground. So you can't really discount that and match DS with Batman in a ring or something. If Deathstroke can't handle Batman when he comes at him via surprise attack, than he is weaker than him, because ability to move in shadows, sneak on someone with enhanced senses like DS and take them down quickly with little to no effort is also one heck of an ability. Slade's advantage over Bruce is his physical edge, Bruce has the advantage of his more versitile skill set and weaponry that he uses, and that includes gadgets, sneaking and etc. I know Slade bested Bruce before, but so did Bruce with Slade, and I think Batman did reached a point in which DS is not a threat to him anymore.
As I stated before, Batman is a quick lerner. Slade had many decades to get to his level of skill, Bruce achieved it in a couple short years. Even if Slade was better the first time they met, Batman eventually growed to be more powerful.

Slade is in every sense of the word a super human. This man did a parkour vault/spin maneuver landing that shit with grace while wearing 80lbs worth of armor without losing any momentum.

Truly, I think this is the most amazing animated sequence I have ever seen in video games or animated movies. This really shows that games are an emerging art form and can be used tor even greater storytelling. I hope to make my game as good as this some day.

I totally agree but eventually the legend must pass the torch and more than enough people want a diffrerent main protagonist, Black Mask was well suited because is was the biggest mob boss before most of the mutant types. But as Bruce progresses he meets more dangerous villains but for a prequel you need a moderate starting point that begins on a good note, starting and climaxing with joker is a bit overwhelming because no one else gets the spot light and is unfair to every other villain. Just how would it be the see the same guy for three games when you nearly know every move he'll do? Boring.

Being that this is a younger Batman holding his own against Deathstroke really says something. Eventually Deathstroke acknowledges that Batman can beat him and anyone if their timing is off for even a second.
In the comics Deathstroke has always kicked Batman's ass in a 1v1, they're about the same skill level except Deathstroke is also a super soldier, Batman stands no chance.
I keep putting Affleck and Manganiello there in my mind. It's an absolute sin that that movie didn't happen.

I love the fighting style in this trailer and game, though I don't think that it should be used in the Nolanverse. I'm happy that Nolan went with Keysi. First, Keysi isn't seen much in cinema today, so it was unique. Second, the costume design didn't look like it allowed the jumping agility seen in the games. Keysi was a good choice because it was brutal and looked efficient, which the costume design executed perfectly. So it would be great if people would stop arguing over combat styles and just enjoy how the character design implements the style.
exactly...as a Keysi instructor that I am and a Batman fan that I am I'll love to see Batman using more Keysi instead of jumping around, besides (maybe it's just me) but this Batman version looks very bulky and the suit very heavy too, it seems hard to believe that he can perform all this maneuvers and backflipping with this suit...I think he needed just to be more brutal guy...

If films were made like this, there would be much better potential for character development. Imagine all comic storylines provided where we wouldnt have to worry about the age and appearance of actors over a 10-20 year progression

It's not batman's iq or fighting skills qnd money makes him the greatest but its his will and determination.
I personally think this is the best game of the Arkham series great villains, great origin story, and the combat is from the great formula if it didn’t have so many bugs at launch it wouldn’t have been so underrated

I kinda disagree, most of the games are great but their not better that the animation DC movies. But batman Vs. superman and justice league, the games are better.

+Labi Ajayi Ben Affleck posted a video with no sound to twitter of a phone recording of one of the screens processing the film and greenscreen during movie filming. This screen shows Deathstroke on the Batplane. Ben Affleck confirmed that Deathstroke was going to be in Justice League.
