I have a Ninjatrader indicator that automatically draws a FVG box when one occurs. I trade off the 2min, but I have the indicator settings to plot 1min FVGs on my 2 minute chart, because I have noticed, like you, how accurate 1 min FVGs can be…
I’ve tweaked the strategy a bit for peak optimisation. I don’t set pending orders at 50% of the fvg or enter when a candle enters the the fvg - I need more confirmation. I only trade the aforementioned sessions and nothing more.
@@IsraelWilliams-ui9nn good thinking. My take is, the main weakness of the “silver bullet” is placing a limit order in the FVG, and basically going long in the middle of a down candle, or going short in the middle of an up candle. I’ve been thinking to myself that I really need to wait for more confirmation.
I think I’ve seen ICT just use market orders in some of his videos, but I can never tell if he’s just doing it on replay mode 🤷♂️ so many strategies are easy to be confident in when you are looking at a fully completed chart, with all the candles printed. But, as they are printing, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen. This is compounded when you’re still new(er) to trading 🤷♂️

You got stopped out in the first one because after price took liquidity it created a FVG but didn’t give a market structure shift. And for the second one you got stopped out because you entered the trade before the liquidity was taken. I respect your transparency tho.

Bro ict specifically said multiple times that the fvg does NOT need to form within the silver bullet timeframe, price just needs to tap into the displaced fvg during the SB timeframe (which too could be formed BEFORE the SB timeframe).
I found that out too.. when price taps into fvg formed earlier they are really valid

Sometimes on london session the silver bullet entry comes between 2am and 3am...so do keep that in mind, id mark the highs and lows of the 1am (ny time) candle and then look for potential entries on the 5 min chart between 2-3am first and if no silver bullet then mark highs and lows of 2am hourly candle and then look for entries between 3am-4am, can sometimes catch really nice moves up or down during london session silver bullet but need to first look for entries between 2am and 3am in order to not miss out
the one that got stopped out: NO MSS = NO BREAKER
I did backtest it over 149 trades and i got 33% WR with 2.5 RR strict. What i learnt is the candle after Fvg (third candle) must be strong bullish or bearish candle.

3min Time Frame and 5min TIME FRAME is more appropriate
I feel like it’s better with a 1.5 rr instead, hits more
If it's 33 wr, then why not take the trade in the opposite direction for every trade? How would that work out? Let me know if you decide to back test it that way.

the 2023 silver bullet model uses the 5 min and targets 1:2 rr and you said youre using ote you didnt use fibs

Hey jordy, I saw this video and would like to highlight that you've making mistake in FVG/imbalances before entry which you should wait for candle close inside fvg. Only on 4th candle in Fvg it's valid direction, if you entry with body close(4th candle in Fvg) then it has poor chances to go on your predicted direction. Thanks mate for your tutorial. 💪
Wait for the wick only inside fvg then itll bring to your direction. Valid FVG entry.

You are thinking about the judas swing which is a reversal
it pretty much is a reversal strat, since u look for a sweep of buy or sell side liquidity, then a market structure shift which is like a change of character pretty much change of trend, but u would only enter if there was a fvg created during the market structure shift, using that said fvg.
In the video he's almost doing the opposite of what ICT stipulates, cuz he didn't wait for a liquidity sweep, instead he just takes an entry off the first fvg that appears and tarkets the liquidity that seems like a higher draw based on the higher timeframe trend, not saying it cant work but that's not how ICT says it should work.
