Will pause ever make a teardrop 4 seasons trailer with the same material used in the pause trailer’s? If they could do that and offer full roof solar on a rack that sits above the roof you would have a very affordable 2 person hunting/ camping trailer. Maybe put the airbags on it. It’s just a thought.
Nice camper. ROG makes a teardrop with a cassette toilet in the inside of the camper. Valiant campers out of Alaska makes a teardrop camper you can sit up in. Sunray Clipper is a teardrop camper with a pop top hybrid roof and one of theirs even has a cassette toilet. But made out of stick, glue and staples. Very cheap. I love this one though. Sit-up or pop up… very versatile.
It appears MDC flipped the configuration for the North American market (kitchen on the North American passenger side, interior couch & table on the driver side) - that’s nice! What kind of options are there for portable a/c units? I have an EcoFlow Wave2 unit; can this be adapted with this camper?
We did a test with the EcoFlow Wave 2 and it didn’t perform well with temps between 90-98 degrees. Anything cooler than that it seems to work well. But we are looking for better options and will do a video if we find anything!
@@ROAOffRoad I typically don’t camp/overland in those temps. But, from experience, at those temps and with the large size of the camper - you’re better off having the Wave 2 INSIDE the camper. Is that how you tested it?
Yes, we had the unit on the counter by the TV area, venting out the top canvas window with it zipped up. We are open to any ideas for testing it better.
Fantastic!! Thank you for showing this!! Please, some questions: -Would it be possible to add an AC unit to the roof after taking off one solar panel? -Possible to increase the battery bank capacity? -Also, is it possible to winterizing against the cold?
We have a mod coming soon, unfortunately the roof top A/Cs don’t work because of the slanted roof, they can’t work properly. We have stuff in the works!
LOVE THESE!!! 😍 2 ques! 1. Realistically could a Toyota 4Runner with 5k lbs tow rating tow one of these fully loaded? And 2: Is the big driver side exterior storage compartment accessible from under the bed?
Yes the MDC Forte 9 is very nice and it ticked all my boxes, except it’s too tall for my 7ft garage. Found another option in Aus (same DNA) with all the same features which is a “true” hybrid better suited for my needs. We may need a new classification name…?
@@francoerp The height of the PX2 Pro is 2.1m with the roof down, fits through my garage door with 40mm clearance. Length is 6m from hitch to the back of the spare tyre. I get it in but It’s a tight fit. I live in Melbourne…
@@ROAOffRoad bummer to hear about conqueror. Since when have they turned sour? They used to be a quality brand that you stood behind? Sad to hear about demise.
@@luisd.hernandez9046 No teardrops have wet baths. That is what you get with small teardrops style trailers. If you want a bathroom you have to get something bigger like the MDC XL15-4
its nice i would never buy one.. all of these small trailers are meant for 1 person or a married 2.. If you want to go hunt with a friend you are not going to share the bed.. I built a 9x8 all aluminum hard sided pop up it is 4foot. 6 inches, before the pop up it has a full shower when poped up and a full rest room. solar, AC and heat. I am just a lil over 5 grand in to it. the Frame and bottom box is based on the M1102 Humvee trailer.. It has two fold down/up merphy beds. meaning i can use it to haul my motor cycle inside it with the pop up down i can still haul full 4x8 sheets.. it has a weight cap of 3 ton has 12inch breaks. Fully loaded with the full water tank 25 gal. i am just under 1960 lbs.. Don't think no trailer builder will ever touch how nice and cheap this is.. Oh and by the way its fully Huck bolted no wielding cept for the rear departure angle so it can with stand major rock crawling hits..

Yes. A 4Runner can tow it. No, you can’t get to the storage from inside. 😊
That is a sweet unit!! Gteat value, which you don't normally get in the "Overlanding" world
Wow! Impressive! Best in America!

The forte seems similar to the conqueror UEV 490 but smaller. I think it works for couples but it seems really big and expensive for what it is.
The 490 is very different and is extremely hard to set up. Also, the manufacturer doesn’t stand behind the warranty or product anymore.

My favorite!!!!!
Bummer that it doesn't have a soft start AC ... given that I live in AZ ;P
We do have an A/C option
Nice features. Really wish they’d offer different exterior finishes. Not a fan of the graphics at all.
We do. We can change the graphics. If you are interested let us know and we can custom them.
Add a wetbath to it and it'll be the perfect overland trailer.

Honestly, we thought so too. But we’ve been on a few excursions with the owners from MDC, and they say “Fort” 🤷♂️
