That rotisserie is awesome. You are making great progress on the underside. Be careful on cutting stuff off to quickly. Sometimes even rotted/rusty panels in place still make reference points. Thanks for another great video!!!
thanks for the reply man, you are an inspiration, out of curiousity how did you get the cross member floor braces separated cleanly so they still have those foot flanges on the ends ? air hammer / chisel ? or did you just cut all the way around them
thanks man, what was that black sealer you used on the weld bead? do you recommend that on every joint / weld after repair? or like you also did the c piller inside in another video what did you use there in the interior.
Both those times I used POR15. I like using it because it’s like a paint that is completely sealed. The only problem with it is it has a hard time adhering to smooth surfaces as it’s designed to cling to rust. So whenever I use it I make sure to scuff the metal and also use the POR15 metal prep to ensure the surface is etched and prepared for proper adhesion.
Thanks again for all your help and guidance! Teamwork makes the dream work! Cheers
Yessir!!
That van is getting better everytime when more rust is taken out

Yea, that’s why I stopped cutting out the rest of the rocker until my new ones come in. Gotta make certain everything lines up well!
Great job! Lots more fun fabrication in your future , for sure. Wow, that was fun to say out loud. Keep up the good work.
I think I’m gonna use that line. The three Fs
@3:38 I have zero doubt you CAN fabricate that!
I will be fabricating it indeed!

I cut around them and carefully ground down the rocker metal until it was down to the fresh crossmember metal
