This video unlocked a core memory for me and reminded me of a game I played as a kid called Cocoto Fishing Master. A strange game where you played as a small red imp in a weirdly eerie world. Anyways, another great video. Thanks for shedding light on games and topics that most of us would probably never know of otherwise
Never heard of this game, you got reccomended to me even though i've never watched your videos before, i'll sub. Noticed the figures on your shelf behind you, i've got a couple of the same myself. Got similar hair to you too, nice to see someone similar to myself who also enjoys obscure and crap 3d games.
So....... they changed the intro scene because of the nefarious word killer in the title, and put in one where a giant fish eats a baby in pure nightmare fuel fashion. ERSB: yeeep, that sounds like an E to me!
There were actually a few things I missed that were changed in localization, for instance, they took out the blood oozing from the letters in the stage intros ("took out" meaning they just froze the image lol). I believe one of the things taken out of the worldwide version was the baby cutscene, but I'm not entirely sure, this game is not particularly well documented haha
Okay, I'm combing through whole channel love your content, also wild to see how your style has evolved in so many ways and yet still remains. Also nice to see there is a bump in subs and views, you deserve more eyes on your material.
Nice video as always! I never heard of this game. Can't say it's a good game but it was nice to know it exists. I have a suggestion if you're looking for an old ps1 survivor horror, try Hellnight by atlus. You won't regret it 😉.
As a collector of physical games, I can’t tell you how mad this video makes me. I used to live by an old game store somewhat nearby me called Wizards Video Games. Cool little store. I always used to laugh at their little boxes copy of Monster Bass offered at $7 but just thought “nah fishing games are boring as hell…” I would have so many bitches if I could just show them this game… “Hey baby… you ever seen an obscure PlayStation 01 game which is a hybrid between the fishing and horror genre?” “No! 🤩🤩🤩🤩” she would say. I swear to god the baby eating scene would’ve ‘reeled’ them in for sure. Biggest mistake of my life. Also hell yes 3:01 capybara 😤
Thanks to a viewer, I now own a physical copy of this game, it was about $10 on eBay, and I mainly wanted it because it came with a manual, and I desperately wanted to know what was inside. It turns out there's nothing inside. It's the most barebones manual I've ever seen from this time period
I love when games give me a reason to hunt animals. I think the idea of hunting games are relaxing but the actual idea of killing an innocent creature purely for caveman catharsis and to express your 'masculinity' by killing a defenseless creature is fucking pathetic. You are not a wolf. You are an overpaid dentist with an SUV that wasn't actually built for country roads, instead built for Starbucks drive-thru. So when a game gives you a reason to fight back I find that quite enjoyable. It's silly but the 'hand wave' helps. I remember Nice and Games doing a review of the pseudo-horror game Cabellas Dangerous Hunts on the Wii that had a hilarious narrative where your father implies you're basically a soy-boy and that your brother is some massive Chad sigma-male. Very forward thinking for a mid 2000s budget game. If you want some real life Aquatic Horror then I'd recommend looking into the ongoing story of the Salton Sea; a manmade river that began to shrink and as it did, large amounts of fish began to die. Those dead fish would then become the food for the new fish and the shores became awash with literal miles of dead fish carcasses. It's part of the ongoing (and upcoming) Los Angeles water disaster; where LA has been siphoning off water supplies from neighboring areas for their own unstainable population growth. There's 3 documentaries on the subject, but the one I enjoyed the most was the episode talking about it on the Vice TV show 'Abandoned'. If you are looking for more fish horror then id recommend manga/anime 'GYO: TOKYO FISH ATTACK' by Junji Ito; a story of Japan faced with its biggest fear: fish growing legs and attacking the very people who love to eat them. The only fishing game I know people actually like is Sega Bass fishing on the dreamcast.
@@TheCellarTaigenMoon I remember I went out for coffee with a friend and we were talking and out of the blue they seemed a little forlorn; gripped by guilt. Then they blurted out: "I'm playing League again..." "Oh for fucks sake... Well good luck with the chat telling you 'uninstall the game' eh?" "Oh they don't say that anymore, they say GC" "Whats GC mean?" "Get cancer" "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST"
Wasn't there an ending screen of Terry and Rock on a fishing trip in one of the Fatal Fury games?
Terry's ending in Real Bout Fatal Fury had a compilation of him hanging out with Rock, and they go fishing. I love that game's story and endings.
i was wondering why i was up at 4 am. i now know why. thank you, your videos give me so much joy

The thing about building a wall, is that it works both ways. It may keep undesirables out, but like a prison wall it can keep you in!

Wow this game looks so bad. Not because of the awful camera, weird controls, or trash gameplay, but because you can’t buster wolf a bass with Terry.

Thank you! I like to think that from my earliest videos to now I've kept the same style, the difference is that I've gotten better at expressing it.
I already saw this quite a while ago but I just wanna say the thumbnail still cracks me up everytime i glance it on your channel
IT EAAAAATS THEM
I wonder if this game inspired that fishing based horror game that’s in one of the Dread X collections, likely not. Great video btw

This video has introduced me to some interesting PS1 horror games, I'll add that to the list

@@TheCellarTaigenMoon damn. That’s disappointing. Insert sad Mario sitting on steps image here.
Sometimes I just miss the way he said "China".

Personally, when I kill animals, it's because I'm a psychopath who loves murder. That's a personal thing, though.
@@TheCellarTaigenMoon You should play League of Legends.
