Such a beautiful articulation by Peri! i got goosebumps at different incidents he mentioned. I would like to experience it once. I'd also love to hear more.
As narrated by Periodi, the people who belong to the Bhuta Kola tradition are today classified under backward classes. Yet it's important to understand the human evolution tracks, driven by technological advancements in the food system, which brought them to this social state. It's the transition in the use of land for food and the internal complexities within various tribes and migrations, which led to their declining culture and the current status as backward, compared to the modern and scientific communities of the advanced food system. Hence, it appears that, once a powerful community which ruled the land and resources through traditional norms and ethics, declined over ages and new norms emerged to rule. Still some parts of India continue to be inhabited and ruled by the people following ancient traditions. And we are seeing a hybridization of this tradition in the age of AIs and digital cultures.
