Absolutely jealous of your free unlimited crawling course. Living in Florida it's hard to find any challenging places to climb. The closes place to crawl is scale mountain.
I love my vanquish diffs in my car! Run a pretty similar setup to yours and I’ve had zero issues with my housings. I run the supershafty knuckles front and rear with dlux servo mounts. I was able to get a ton of steering angle with a little work to it. My only worry is breaking an axle shaft because they aren’t available
This is real thing. Mine broke after only 5 packs. My axles are not even scratched yet. I am sure it was just bad luck with a machined part. Just bummed that my $1,500.00 rig is sidelined because I cannot get the part. Just sold all of my other crawlers. This is my only 1/10 rig I kept. Looks great on the shelf, hahaha. :(
I did the same thing in my 4ws Vanquish axled Chupacapra with 3gear. I kept exploding stock portals. Dropped TGH and Incision ODs front and rear. No more issues. I did strip out threads in one of my Vanquish housings that holds the servo. I threw some wire mesh in there to "fix" it.
My three favorite smiles per-mile was installing a Level3RC Dual Motor Mount with 2 Crawlmaster Pro's on a AX2 2-Speed in my Trail rig. 2nd was installing a very early sensored Revolver in my Trailfinder. The torque-density from both those set-ups were really fun. 3rd is obviously my very first hobby quality rig I gotbin 1989, a Tamiya Clodbuster. I had it for nearly 30 years. Then, I sold it like an idiot.
Due to some financial restraints,I bought the cheap ones, and had to install all the stock Axial bearings, and gears, plus i had to add a .1 shim at the stub bearing, and I had to file down the c hub screw bushing 1mm to remove all slop !! Had to put in some work to stretch a dollar!!LOL
As always…very interesting video! Wondering if you’ve ever ran a Bomber or Ryft? Obviously modified cause the Ryft really isn’t a rock crawler , but I put a crawler system in mine and it does fairly well….but I don’t do competition either!
Would my trx4 benefit from different axles? Everyone’s always talking about upgraded/swapped axles but I don’t see how it could be that big of a deal? Performance is often times better with a lighter axle and more weight over the tires or as low and far away from the center of the car as possible
These axles are beautiful but after only 5 packs my front axle snapped a cross pin. Not the little one. The bigger one with the hole. Cannot find a replacement anywhere. I have an email in to Vanquish. If anyone knows the part number I would appreciate the help. I love the axles. I believe it was just bad luck.
@@actonscaletrails2753 yea I asked and they told me they will be available in the future, but no eta. A bit frustrating given the cost and there is apparently no way to replace one of the most likely pieces to break. Doesn’t give me warm fuzzies about having them on a comp truck
Great video as always! I know this isn’t about tires, but why g8 vs predator? It seems the softer compound would preform better on these rocks? It’s my go to tire compound.
With your stealth X transmission did you have to do any additional gearing? I’m thinking of doing a Stealth X swap, but I’m not sure what additional gearing would need to be done, thanks in advance.
Since you’re going hard on your rig, are you still using a slipper clutch? I got lost of it yesterday and shorted the spacer on the lock nut and tightened the slipper clutch down. Ist there one in the 3 gear trans? I’m new to the Capra thing thanks and greetings from Germany 😊
I've been looking at the Super Shafty housings and will get them but they're a different width than the Capra's. Do you have any experience with them? CP43
yesterday i went full reverse with my capra and immediately into full forward. it did a backflip landed clean on the tires and broke a rod end and bent a link but the stock plastic axle is completely fine. WTF could possible make these axle HOUSINGS worth $300 EACH? 17:30 holy shit, they offset the diff to the wrong side. the reason to offset a diff is for better angles. they put it in the worst possible place. also, $300 and they cant include the pivot balls that are required.

Logan, that was a superb review and video, your youtube videos are top shelf. Well done, oh and love love my capra, 4ws... john

I built my Chupacapra with Supershafty axles and rod ends are the thing I’ve broken the most. Glad I’m not the only one! Lol
When the rig fell off the cliff it reminded me of the time when SBG did the same thing with his Capra in his review video

I’m in St. George! ..going too visit sand hollow tomorrow noon .. I didn’t bring my Capra … 🤦♂️
Killer video brother
Running the Supershafty brass knuckles and they offer a ton of steering plus are really made well. Great video and review, thanks for posting 💥💯🤙🏻🍺
Great looking rig, quality build! You hit some narly lines on that run but damn, be careful out there! ✌
Great video again Logan 👍 good information en reviews thanx for sharring .
What length shocks are you running? I just put some 90mm Desert Lizards on my Capra, but then thought crap, maybe I should have gone shorter?

I have not broken any stock portal gears in my Capra axles even my brushless mega truck with fling kings! Now that I said that I better go buy spares😂
nice rock crawling💪😎👍
Building some super shafty cp44s while I watch😁👊🏻

i would love to of seen a comparison to the f10s pros cons etc
Any chance you could make cut & shut custom sizes? Wanting some 1.9 Krawlers in a 4.5 to 4.6 range, just a little shorter than the stock 4.75 size.

Did you find this? I've been looking for a part # for those also, in case mine break.
@@bowsineath1856 nope, can't get 'em anywhere.

Not an expert but I think the g8 is favoured in hotter climates. Maybe due to wear concerns or carcass thickness?
Another nice video 👀💪😀
What interior/driver did you go with here? I like a scale complete look like this, I have an R2 chassis.
Are you running a separate battery for rear servo?? I’m weighing servo options and wiring for mine. The fusion BEC is not overwhelmingly strong

I have a Dx5 Rugged radio on a Capra 4ws with dig. I've noticed your rear wheels steer independent of the front wheels. How do you do that?
So which costs more a Xmaxx West desert wheelers chewprabra build a scx6 or a Ramminator? 😅😅
I gotta say it the chewprabra
@@805crawlers lol it was till he rolled it off the cliff 🤣 oh shiitt
Thanks for the video. Vanquish uses 6065 aluminum not 7075

Do you have any axial wrath builds
Why not upgrade to aluminum servo mounts?
They are aluminum now
Grouce vid logan
That’s right, don’t chase ur car off a cliff, unless you live in Canada! Free medical!! Haha
Sage advice, lol! Health care might be free but one slip and its an expensive funeral for my family! 😜
@@jerryvolpini7987 true that! Haha
Haw wide the axle is ? from hub to hub
Most of their axles are bomb proof honestly. These new plastics are not so long lasting.
You should try flipping one of the diffs and installing a counter-rotating transmission results in 0 torque twist.
