the way you mount the rifle magazine is a very smart and reasonable way,can you mount the rifle mag carrier directly on the safariland mid ride system? Screws only?
yes you can mount its with just the screws. Thats how i currently have mine setup. However, I may change it to a clip system in the future to accommodate swapping in between MP5, AR, AK, and AK-V Mags
How do you keep them from sliding back and forth on your belt? I just received mine, and I noticed even when locked they will just slide back and forth on my belt. Im going to end up using Velcro to fix the issue, just curious as to your thoughts.
Adding velcro to the interior is one way to prevent them from shifting. Thicker belts like the ronin, aws, and safelife typically don’t need it but tegris/the carbon fiber looking belts need the velcro due to their thinner profile
i think the mars are better because you can adjust how tight or loose you want them so that they have that perfect amount of retention you want. The kywis are awesome and a phenomenal product if you want to keep it simple the trex just have that adjustability and they can be canted if thats something you want to do. it is a little bit more when it comes to the investment in the product but i think its worth it at the end of the day.
@@roberttaylor9611 I know I didn't. I've had countless people tell me that they have swapped over to this method of mounting mags to their belt. I've tested and validated in training and in combat over the past 7 years. It makes a substantial difference in preventing pouches and gear on your kit from getting caught up on each other and decreasing reload times.
So it doesn’t catch on the cummerbund or anything you attach to it. For example gp pouch, radio, or side plate. If you look close enough at a lot of people’s kit you’ll notice that if they just run a pouch on the belt the mag will sit high and usually catch on the cummerbund or one of those items and they have to tilt to the side to draw the rifle mag. If you run the drop it lowers it enough you don’t have to tilt or worry about your kit catching the on the mag. You’ll see it more with people who have a shorter torso.
@@LegionPreparedness NGL That is big brain move right there. Most usually just keep their sides open to accomodate for the normal mounting position. Very clean idea.

Thank you and will do
Is your STI 9mm or .45? I have these in the other two versions (and like them a lot), but don't fit my HK45 mags. How wide / deep are your STI mags?
Mine are in 9mm. I have the mbx mags and they are not wide very wide
how is the retention on the MARS mag carriers vs. say something like the KYWI's from Esstac.

Can u put them on a regular leather belt
Yes you can adjust the bracket for the belt your using
Are the Tek Lok attachments adjustable to fit different size belts?
Yes
How do you open the mars carriers?
it doesnt open. You just tighten or loosen the tension of the screw
“Take that into consideration “
😉
hows the retention for pistol mags?
Really good. It’s adjustable so you can make the pouches as tight or as loose as you want
nice video
thanks
Solution to your at mag issue. So that you’re not uncomfortable using a safari land mid ride UBL.
Use esstac kiwi. It lowers it below the belt line….
I use to use the kiwi and it still didn’t drop it low enough no matter what armor system I was running so I’ll have to disagree with you here
@@LegionPreparedness then you used the wrong one

I dont understand why you put the Rifle Mag Carrier on a Mid Ride System 😂😂😂

@@LegionPreparedness esstac kiwi dude. The logic is there but the application isn’t
