Notice how the Ravens v. Steelers segment was only targeted as to what Pittsburgh didn’t do as opposed to what Lamar and the Ravens did do. That was not an accident on SAS’s part.

Mike Tomlin is 3-9 in the playoffs since 2010 and 8-11 lifetime. One of those wins was a Bengals gift wrapped victory from pacman jones and burfict who committed some of the dumbest penalties in history. He should have been one and done that year, too. He's basically had one decent playoff run since 2010. Just think about it. One since 2010, and they still got blown out in the AFC championship game, and no playoff game has even been competitive since. 8 years of one and done blowouts and 2 seasons with a playoff win out of 14 seasons. He hasn't done well on the postseason at all since 2010. I don't get why people are such big defenders of Tomlin and are afraid to let him go. Mike Mccarthy has a better playoff record than Tomlin and has never gone 8 years without a playoff win. How many coaches have gone 8 years without a playoff win and didn't lose their job? The only ones I've been able to find are marvin Lewis and Don Shula. That's it. And Don shula, at that point in his career, had won 3 championships and had 4 championship game appearances, including 3 straight Super Bowl appearances, a perfect season. was 10-6 in the postseason and had a 70٪ career win percentage at the time.

Since the Steelers were founded in 1933, they have had 15 men as head coach. Across the coaching careers of all of these head coaches, there have been a combined total of 2 seasons coached after last coaching the Steelers. That's to say, once you leave the Steelers, you're done coaching. Here are the two seasons:
    - Bill Austin coached 1 season in Washington (1970) after coaching 3 in Pittsburgh (1966-68)
    - Aldo Donelli coached 1 season for the Cleveland Rams (1944, during player/coach shortage from the war) after coaching 1 season in Pittsburgh (1941)

Stephen A., this is not an issue of playoff losses. The Steelers were serious underdogs in the majority of those games. The issue is team talent.
    Steelers Playoff Losses since 2016
2017 We were the 2 seed and lost to the 3 seeded Jaguars at home 45-42
2020 We were the 3 seed and lost to the 6th seeded Browns 48-37
2021 We were the 7 seed and lost to the top seeded Chiefs 42-21
2023 We were the 7 seed and lost to the 2nd seeded Bills 17-31
2024 We were the 6 seed and lost to the 3rd seeded Baltimore 14-28
People should stop talking about the playoff record because it really looks like Tomlin is getting way more wins out of mediocre talent than most other people would.
So the question is, why do we have mediocre talent? That falls on the scouts and the GM, and Tomlin to the degree that he influences those decisions.

This is the root cause of the Steelers problems. Even Art Rooney Sr did this before Chuck Noll. Hire your friends as coaches. Stay loyal to them even if they are garbage. I have a great documentary on the history of Steelers from 1933 to 1990s. The old Steelers were a charity franchise for older players from other teams who still wanted to play in the NFL. You get cut from your team because you're getting old? Just go to the Steelers and they'll let you play. When Chuck Noll came he told the players, "The reason you are losing is not because you lack desire. The reason you're losing is because you're not good enough. You're not strong enough. You're not fast enough. You're not smart enough. I'm going to fire most of you and I'm going to bring in players who are good enough and can play these defensive schemes." That is how you build a better team.

In their SIX playoff losses, they have been outscored 73 - 0 in the first quarter, with Tomlin, just recently, upon being asked about their slow starts, said that he is more concerned about how they end the game and not how they begin. THAT is lack of preparation !!!! Everyone knows how good the Ravens are. No one questions that. It's just that they exposed how bad the Steelers are that makes this a notable conversation.

Tomlin hasn’t won a Super Bowl in 16 years, hasn’t won a playoff game in 8 years, has won only 3 playoff games in the last 15 years, and has won a playoff game in only 4 out of 18 years coached.
He’s gone one and done 8 times.
Tomlin supporters say he’s doesn’t have a good roster, but his underachieving in the playoffs has dated back to a decade and half now which means the Killer B’s era.
Tomlin won nothing with a stacked roster during the years of the Killer B’s.
    He’s underachieved and is overrated.

    • @jasonhuynh8561
      @jasonhuynh8561 17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

There’s a lot of coaches in the nfl that you can replace, Bruce Arians (who was a qb coach for the Steelers years ago), Ben Johnson, Minter (DC from the chargers), etc. you have to realize that Mike invested the defense over the offense, the only first round weapon on the Steelers on offense is Najee Harris and that’s pretty bad. It’s time to move on from him

With getting bounced round 1 every year, not competing with top competitors. Steelers haven't went this long without a playoff win since 1972, haven't let a team rush for that many yards on them since OJ was the rb. Congrats on being barely over .500 yearly and getting killed when it matters.
