That is sad for any franchise let alone the steelers. The fans have a right to be upset. Tomlin is basically Marvin Lewis with a sb that was handed to him.
Cower won 1 Super Bowl; Tomlin went to the playoffs with Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph Oh and once again the Steelers were in the playoffs with a mediocre quarterback
And why do you not put any of the blame on the Front Office for not drafting well? Let’s be honest, the Steelers roster has never been regarded as top tier in talent
Tomlin and the steelers dont know how to develop a qb. Notice how how sam darnold looked like a bust in carolina and now looks elite in Minnesota. Coaching matters.
Can we just accept the fact that Tomlin won his SB with a team build by Cowher?!?! Ever since the guys from that D started retiring and Lebaugh left, Tomlin switched the defensive scheme to more of a 4-3 and “dumbed” down the defense with Butler then Austin… this is all on Tomlin. He’s got an ego but yet he has ONLY won a playoff game in 4 out of 18 seasons, that’s 22%!!! FIRE HIM!!
Shannon is so right. Steelers are the kings of holding onto star players for way too long. Where’s the backup plans? There was no plan around Ben & now look where they are
The Ravens had the better game plan, Lamar managed the game well and they were having their way with the Steelers It was over when it was 14-0 if we’re being honest. They should have kept it honest.
Here's a stat I found regarding this: Since the Steelers were founded in 1933, they have had 15 men as head coach. Across the coaching careers of all of these head coaches, there have been a combined total of 2 seasons coached after last coaching the Steelers. That's to say, once you leave the Steelers, you're done coaching. Here are the two seasons: - Bill Austin coached 1 season in Washington (1970) after coaching 3 in Pittsburgh (1966-68) - Aldo Donelli coached 1 season for the Cleveland Rams (1944, during player/coach shortage from the war) after coaching 1 season in Pittsburgh (1941)
Loyalty to Ben? It was the other way around. They asked him to come back while they searched for a replacement. And let’s not forget - Cowher had Ken Anderson as QB coach for Ben in his early years. Who did Tomlin have for Pickett? Exactly.
The problem is the steelers aren't exploiting mismatches against each opponent because u have players there that just want the 🏈 no matter what the circumstances r..........IMO 🤔!!
Yeah until he has you playing zone all game and starts passing the football finally mid third quarter!! You will realize going to Super Bowl beats one and done!!
Stephen A., this is not an issue of playoff losses. The Steelers were serious underdogs in the majority of those games. The issue is team talent. Steelers Playoff Losses since 2016 2017 We were the 2 seed and lost to the 3 seeded Jaguars at home 45-42 2020 We were the 3 seed and lost to the 6th seeded Browns 48-37 2021 We were the 7 seed and lost to the top seeded Chiefs 42-21 2023 We were the 7 seed and lost to the 2nd seeded Bills 17-31 2024 We were the 6 seed and lost to the 3rd seeded Baltimore 14-28 People should stop talking about the playoff record because it really looks like Tomlin is getting way more wins out of mediocre talent than most other people would. So the question is, why do we have mediocre talent? That falls on the scouts and the GM, and Tomlin to the degree that he influences those decisions.
This is the root cause of the Steelers problems. Even Art Rooney Sr did this before Chuck Noll. Hire your friends as coaches. Stay loyal to them even if they are garbage. I have a great documentary on the history of Steelers from 1933 to 1990s. The old Steelers were a charity franchise for older players from other teams who still wanted to play in the NFL. You get cut from your team because you're getting old? Just go to the Steelers and they'll let you play. When Chuck Noll came he told the players, "The reason you are losing is not because you lack desire. The reason you're losing is because you're not good enough. You're not strong enough. You're not fast enough. You're not smart enough. I'm going to fire most of you and I'm going to bring in players who are good enough and can play these defensive schemes." That is how you build a better team.
Tomlin stinks. They will be mediocre for awhile! They pick 16-22 every year. They wont be able to get a qb in that range. Which means they'll be average every year. Tj watt chokes in the playoffs btw
Lamar was drafted 32nd and Purdy was drafted in the 7th round. These are two recent examples. There are plenty more, tomlin just doesn’t develop talent at the position. He was gifted big ben
They don’t like change as long as they’re making money. As much as I think Tomlin is to blame, OWNERSHIP IS THE BIGGEST LIABILITY! THIS GENERATION OF ROONEY IS SOFT AND DOESNT CARE ABOUT WINNING!
“They don’t like change”. That’s a theme for the entire city itself. Pittsburgh is a “live in the past” city. Nothing will change….which means Steelers won’t.
The Steelers is a franchise that don't believe in spending big money for top players therefore they tend to live in the past on how they do things. On top of that they don't get good draft picks
Chuck Noll . came in and prior to his tenure the Steelers had appeared in one playoff game in their entire history since 1933 and lost it . Within a couple of years he and Pitt . owned the 1970's and had 4 SB rings . Just a phenomenal coach and should be mentioned in the conversation as all time greatest HC. What an attention to detail .
What about the Steelers' defense? The Ravens trampled them for 300 yards rushing. Isn't defense supposed to be Tomlin's specialty? Why did the Steelers defense stink? Why doesn't Tomlin have accountability for that??
In their SIX playoff losses, they have been outscored 73 - 0 in the first quarter, with Tomlin, just recently, upon being asked about their slow starts, said that he is more concerned about how they end the game and not how they begin. THAT is lack of preparation !!!! Everyone knows how good the Ravens are. No one questions that. It's just that they exposed how bad the Steelers are that makes this a notable conversation.
we need a change of scenery..the downside to having so many winning seasons,we never get good draft pics.. and when we do seems like they get a dont give 100% after they see other players slacking off
Hearing the stats of Mike Tomlin, he reminds me more of DOC RIVERS than Jerry Jones. All that talent, all the playoff appearances, all the EXPECTATIONS, and they can’t win anything in the playoffs.
All that talent? U blind af.. o line is not good, Harris is avg, and the QB problem. Dont ever fix your mouth comparing the 2...tomlin don't choke with talent in the proper positions

@@ricardomartinez479That's not true because they were in the AFC championship game with those guys. It was just that AB pulled an ab and forced his way out. @ they won’t. Historically, Tomlin has always been bad with bad coordinators. He’s good not great. Last playoff win? We had a top 5 offense under Todd Haley and multiple HOFers on offense.
Tomlin hasn’t won a Super Bowl in 16 years, hasn’t won a playoff game in 8 years, has won only 3 playoff games in the last 15 years, and has won a playoff game in only 4 out of 18 years coached. He’s gone one and done 8 times. Tomlin supporters say he’s doesn’t have a good roster, but his underachieving in the playoffs has dated back to a decade and half now which means the Killer B’s era. Tomlin won nothing with a stacked roster during the years of the Killer B’s. He’s underachieved and is overrated.
Notice how Lamar played great and the team won but the focus was on how the Steelers aren’t good, which I get they do have a lot of problems, but I was told that Lamar has the most pressure on him due to his lack of playoff success so why was there no mention of what the ravens did?
For some reason people want to replace a great coach in Tomlin. Who are the Steelers going to bring in that will make them better? They play in the most competitive division in the afc and with a successful record every year.
There’s a lot of coaches in the nfl that you can replace, Bruce Arians (who was a qb coach for the Steelers years ago), Ben Johnson, Minter (DC from the chargers), etc. you have to realize that Mike invested the defense over the offense, the only first round weapon on the Steelers on offense is Najee Harris and that’s pretty bad. It’s time to move on from him
With getting bounced round 1 every year, not competing with top competitors. Steelers haven't went this long without a playoff win since 1972, haven't let a team rush for that many yards on them since OJ was the rb. Congrats on being barely over .500 yearly and getting killed when it matters.
Tomlin has earned the right not to be fired, but if the Steelers want him out that bad, then let him snnounce he's stepping down. He's earned that much.
It blows my mind as a chiefs fan that the last time they won a playoff game was when they played Alex smith back in the day. We held them to all field goals that game and still managed to lose 16-18 I believe. That seems like an eternity ago!

Where's the criticism for ex GM Kevin Colbert and current GM Omar Khan, they are the ones that make the decisions in FA, the Draft, and Trading for picks and players
So does Tomlin, it's just as much his fault.
@@sylol200 that's why he's the only online saying that^
They traded WR1 and WR3 before the season but somehow it’s Russell Wilson fault!! 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Colbert got criticized from fans. Khan is getting criticized for Fields and Russ. Nobody wanted Russ or Justin and now we know why. Other than those 2 moves, every other Khan move has been a hit
Tomlin wanted Russ. I don’t believe Khan did
The Steelers haven't won a playoff game since 2016 and haven't been to a Super Bowl since 2010. At some point, you can no longer just ride on the fact that you've never had a losing season.
But that is what is being preached and ridden, right?
"Just wait til next year!"
2017 was the last time we were good enough. Let's not be stupid.
I can see Najee Harris leaving. The dude went 1,000 for 3 years since he got drafted, but it looks like he doesn't get enough appreciation. He can be a good rb somewhere else.
1000 yards is only 60 yards per game
4 straight years of 1000 but he hasn't been productive in the pass game since his rookie year and he averages under 4 yards a carry. It's time for a change of scenery for him
@jonnie5bgood583 oh yeah he was drafted in 2021.
@jonnie5bgood583 he had big Ben in his rookie year that's why. Pickett and Wilson aren't like that
I gave UP on najee
Sick of the Russell Wilson Slander, he went 20-28 for 270 and 2 TD with zero turnovers. This loss isn't on him at all, he was the only positive sign on the field all game long.
Bro what game were you watching. Those were garbage time stats. He had 44 yards in the first half you box score bandit
agreed!!
u said this like Russ is the answer lmaooo get a grip
What did he do in the 1st half? Only scored after they were down by 21.
You're not slick Ciara! 😒
Mike Tomlin can't win without Cowher's players and staff.
2005 Cowher win SB 11-5
2006 Big Ben plays thru bike accident 8-8 miss playoffs. Cowher Retires.
2007 Tomlin 10-6 loses in WC to Jags
2008 Tomlin wins SB. 18/22 Starters played for Cowher. 12-4
2009 Tomlin 9-7 miss playoffs
2010 Tomlin loses sb. 12/22 starters played for Cowher. 12-4
Since 2010, 3 playoff wins in 15 years! 1 by courtesy of the Bengals/Marvin Lewis choke job. That is sad for any franchise let alone the steelers. The fans have a right to be upset. Tomlin is basically Marvin Lewis with a sb that was handed to him.
Oh Please. Get over yourself
So should he not coach anymore
Cower won 1 Super Bowl;
Tomlin went to the playoffs with Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph
Oh and once again the Steelers were in the playoffs with a mediocre quarterback
So he should start with a fresh 53 players. Stfu
Steelers have been pisspoor developing players at every position except on Special Teams.
What has Darnold won to make that comparison 🤔, let's see if they can get to N.O & have the confetti 🎊🏆🎉 fall for them.........just saying 😐!!
@@plaubelmakina8916even special teams has been absent for 6 games
Can we just accept the fact that Tomlin won his SB with a team build by Cowher?!?! Ever since the guys from that D started retiring and Lebaugh left, Tomlin switched the defensive scheme to more of a 4-3 and “dumbed” down the defense with Butler then Austin… this is all on Tomlin. He’s got an ego but yet he has ONLY won a playoff game in 4 out of 18 seasons, that’s 22%!!! FIRE HIM!!
That a 3/4 defense that they don't know how to run.
I don’t think George Pickens knows what optimistic means lol
Shannon is so right. Steelers are the kings of holding onto star players for way too long. Where’s the backup plans? There was no plan around Ben & now look where they are
It is not the Steelers' fault that Ben stays longer than people think
@@chuckreddick3903yes it is lol
The Ravens had the better game plan, Lamar managed the game well and they were having their way with the Steelers
It was over when it was 14-0 if we’re being honest. They should have kept it honest.
People are afraid to admit it but Tomlin is the problem
George Pickens is the best talent and WR in the NFL; he just doesn't care to show it to us. 😂
That.might be the dumbest thing I've seen today. You are stupid.
Problem is he can't see the forest for the trees, he thinks the QB is just suppose to throw him the 🏈 no matter what the circumstances.........IMO 🤔!!
Yall got one more time to post this thank u
Buffalo vs. Ravens rematch should be a good one!
Here's a stat I found regarding this:
Since the Steelers were founded in 1933, they have had 15 men as head coach. Across the coaching careers of all of these head coaches, there have been a combined total of 2 seasons coached after last coaching the Steelers. That's to say, once you leave the Steelers, you're done coaching. Here are the two seasons:
- Bill Austin coached 1 season in Washington (1970) after coaching 3 in Pittsburgh (1966-68)
- Aldo Donelli coached 1 season for the Cleveland Rams (1944, during player/coach shortage from the war) after coaching 1 season in Pittsburgh (1941)
Lmao 😂 @0:35
I have said that the Steelers are to the AFC what the Cowboys are to the NFC. Historic franchises with a lot of potential that do nothing.
Loyalty to Ben? It was the other way around. They asked him to come back while they searched for a replacement. And let’s not forget - Cowher had Ken Anderson as QB coach for Ben in his early years. Who did Tomlin have for Pickett?
Exactly.
Mike Tomlin stuck his neck out for Russell..gave him a chance but should have used the rookie quarterback and not loose 4 or 5 straight
george pickens is legitimately a funny guy
Half the problems where him he is clown. Dont take responsibility for his drops .route running problems. Fumble in redzone.
The Steelers organization doesn’t play for regular season games, they play for playoffs and Super Bowl wins. Been a long time, Mike.
I think what we’re missing is a qb that will find a way to make stuff happen when the coaching plays aren’t working
The problem is the steelers aren't exploiting mismatches against each opponent because u have players there that just want the 🏈 no matter what the circumstances r..........IMO 🤔!!
It wasn't the qb that couldn't stop ravens offense!!
@ the defense has been putting in work! They been on the field more than the offense for the whole season!
I respect Pickens speaking the truth
He is half the problem lmao
4 and inches and punt the ball. Thank u coach. Tomlin needs to go .................................................................................
getting embarassed in every playoff games.... Time to go. is really embarrasing.
I’m a Niners fan. Trade Shanahan for Tomlin.
I’m a 9er and I 100% agree
Yeah until he has you playing zone all game and starts passing the football finally mid third quarter!! You will realize going to Super Bowl beats one and done!!
Stephen A., this is not an issue of playoff losses. The Steelers were serious underdogs in the majority of those games. The issue is team talent.
Steelers Playoff Losses since 2016
2017 We were the 2 seed and lost to the 3 seeded Jaguars at home 45-42
2020 We were the 3 seed and lost to the 6th seeded Browns 48-37
2021 We were the 7 seed and lost to the top seeded Chiefs 42-21
2023 We were the 7 seed and lost to the 2nd seeded Bills 17-31
2024 We were the 6 seed and lost to the 3rd seeded Baltimore 14-28
People should stop talking about the playoff record because it really looks like Tomlin is getting way more wins out of mediocre talent than most other people would.
So the question is, why do we have mediocre talent? That falls on the scouts and the GM, and Tomlin to the degree that he influences those decisions.
The kid don’t know what optimistic mean obviously 😊
When the coach and owner are more focused on being your friend rather than your boss, you end up with these results.
😂😂wtf u wrong them corners always get beat tj not the problem they can keep doubling him them corners can’t keep gettin beat gotta hve A diff scheme
The ravens about to get that work from Buffalo 😂.
Lmaoooo
Love the laughing
They don’t like change as long as they’re making money. As much as I think Tomlin is to blame, OWNERSHIP IS THE BIGGEST LIABILITY! THIS GENERATION OF ROONEY IS SOFT AND DOESNT CARE ABOUT WINNING!
Just a bunch of entitled rich guys that inherited an NFL team.
Nothing wrong with Pickens the problem is the coaching staff sucks
Have for years. Tomlin is not good at hiring staff and that hinders them from developing talent and that’s majority of the issue right there!
Pickens is the only one speaking truth
“They don’t like change”. That’s a theme for the entire city itself. Pittsburgh is a “live in the past” city. Nothing will change….which means Steelers won’t.
The Steelers is a franchise that don't believe in spending big money for top players therefore they tend to live in the past on how they do things. On top of that they don't get good draft picks
To be honest, Pittsburgh is one of few cities in the rust belt that have thrived because of change.
Clearly you’ve never been to Pittsburgh or studied the history of the city
@@3roken8clearly I’ve lived here my entire life….now what?
@@3roken8and you just said “the history”. You just proved my point
Mike Tomlin’s decision to punt on 4th and 1 in the 2nd quarter against the Ravens Saturday night says it all about the Steelers.
That absolutely killed me inside. I love my Steelers even with boneheaded calls like that.. but god dang WHAT A STUPID CALL
mike tomlin special 😂
Yeah, i was a little confused by that.
Steelers has not had a top 10 draft pick in 24 yrs and not being able to get a top tier QB is the problem not Mike Tomlin.
What about the Steelers' defense? The Ravens trampled them for 300 yards rushing. Isn't defense supposed to be Tomlin's specialty? Why did the Steelers defense stink? Why doesn't Tomlin have accountability for that??
Tomlin has the highest paid Defense in football and gave up 299 yards rushing. You do not make cogent arguments in your pitiful defense of DUMLIN
I’m literally trying to find ANY video from ESPN that talks about how DOMINANT Lamar and the Ravens are. ESPN is OUT OF TOUCH on this one.
10-7 Tomlin aka the one and done wonder.
Stephen A with the substitute teacher look 💀
He definitely will be the coach next season
And they'll be one and done again if they make it
In their SIX playoff losses, they have been outscored 73 - 0 in the first quarter, with Tomlin, just recently, upon being asked about their slow starts, said that he is more concerned about how they end the game and not how they begin. THAT is lack of preparation !!!! Everyone knows how good the Ravens are. No one questions that. It's just that they exposed how bad the Steelers are that makes this a notable conversation.
Mike Tomlin hasn’t figured out how to manage the clock in 20 years in the NFL. my 9 year old son who plays madden is a better coach than mike Tomlin
Your son has a Superbowl ring?
@@slimmjonesjr3206he may in madden.
Relax lol
@@slimmjonesjr3206Mike literally inherited his sb team.
I pray Mike T leaves so these redneck Steelers fans can go 2 decades without making the playoffs ......
we need a change of scenery..the downside to having so many winning seasons,we never get good draft pics.. and when we do seems like they get a dont give 100% after they see other players slacking off
Hearing the stats of Mike Tomlin, he reminds me more of DOC RIVERS than Jerry Jones.
@@Theeonlygogetayes he does lmao, he had prime Ben, Ab and Bell and didn’t win anything
@ricardomartinez479 and when he had them they won playoff games buddy... he didn't choke when he had the talent in the proper positions as i stated.. so you're making my point without even realizing. Clown activities 😭🤦🏾♂️
@@ricardomartinez479That's not true because they were in the AFC championship game with those guys. It was just that AB pulled an ab and forced his way out. Lebron bell sat out the whole year and then was gone and Ben then later fell off a cliff because of age and injury. We just need better personnel. We need more consistent guys.
change is needed at the Head Coaching Position.
To Shannon’s point, they hung on to everyone for too long however forgot to include Tomlin on that list.
I hope Pitt does make that mistake, let him lose on a team like Chicago they will become absolute MONSTERS
Pickens was HONEST
Notice how Lamar played great and the team won but the focus was on how the Steelers aren’t good, which I get they do have a lot of problems, but I was told that Lamar has the most pressure on him due to his lack of playoff success so why was there no mention of what the ravens did?
If you think SAS about to give lamar credit then don’t hold your breath. If Lamar wins it all I swear I told my friend all he going say is finally
Steelers fan here. Congratulations to the Ravens. Played the game well. Now go win the SB!
Wtf. Why would u want a raven sb win as a Steelers fan. I'm rooting for a NFC .team hate Bills , Ravens
So not the GM? Alright 😂😂😂
George doesnt know what optimistic means can yall stop showing that clip😂😂
Mike Tomlin is the Doc Rivers of the NFL
Unc speaking facts about Pickens!!!
Yeah I genuinely don’t think Pickens understood what optimistic meant. Still really funny 😂
Fascinating how all these WRs gravitate towards Pittsburgh. AB, Claypool, Johnson, Pickens
It blows my mind as a chiefs fan that the last time they won a playoff game was when they played Alex smith back in the day. We held them to all field goals that game and still managed to lose 16-18 I believe. That seems like an eternity ago!
You didn't hold them to nothing clown . You were in a seat.
We talk about Pickens being so outspoken about not having a good quarterback to throw him the ball. Let’s give Terry Mclaurin some major props. Dude has a career worth of awful QB’s throwing him the ball, and never said a word. The most underrated receiver in the game
Thank you Stephen A !!!
2:06 Stephan A literally described Drake London's career, and guess what? Drake didn't complain.
