This in depth view is exactly what I have been looking for in a Vlogger. It lets the viewer know what to expect when we make the same trip. I have not used the ferry yet but will feel more comfortable when I do because of the way you filmed it. Thank you
Super excited for ya Vern, finally after 2 long years. you seemed exhausted from the long, late night traveling but can sense the excitement in finally meeting your "VIP". can't wait for the VIP video, travel and ride safe mi amigo. Enjoy your time, was a long time coming, very well deserved.
That was a great story Vern on getting to Cagayan De Oro! Glad your persistence paid off and really wish you and your new friend best wishes together! I'll be hitting the BIG 60 tomorrow Tuesday and feel and look much younger than my age! See you soon again!
This is a great video to watch as always. You always make us feel like we’re there with you and going somewhere exciting! I am happy for you Vern. You deserve the best❤️
Very good story Vern. Thank you for the detailed trip description! I enjoy your vlogs (have started to watch them since your Thailand trip and then watched previous ones too).
Nice one Vern glad you made it 2 years omg lol long time!! okay OH Pass sorted will be leaving the UK Thurs morning should arrive Cebu sometime Friday Afternoon its been a long wait:) let the Adventure begin !!!
Hello Vern, stay positive, even if expensive this time you can ride your larger motorcycle and you do not need to rent cheaper scooters everywhere. Good idea to check smaller port while you ride on your adventure. Ride safe !
Vern, so glad to see you go through that door your apartment and out exploring new things that's what you're put on Earth to do at this time in your life and we enjoy it 100% be safe they'll be very safe and one of your subscribers Ryan the bunks 100% brother 30 years us remember that as well my friend be safe vern
Great video Vern..Once I get to Filipinas(very soon)a motorcycle with at least 400cc is on my list to travel finally around the islands,I want to eat in every obscure resto that I can stop by in the many places there. Mario from Cuba
Hey Mario, sounds like an adventure. You won’t have to go far to find restos here, so many places on the road sides. Variety may take a bit longer though to find. What kind of cycle are you looking to find , a touring bike or a street only? I would love about a 300cc something really comfortable for a aeat and profile. The N Max Yamaha are getting really popular but having gears is more safe in the hills imho. Some really steep grades in some areas some I swore were a 70 degree grade hill :)
@@HeyVernTravels Well I am thinking about the Suzuki burghman 400,should be enough to carry plenty of stuff and be fuel efficient as well,I used to have a Ninja 650 until I left Ph in december 2019,been here in SDakota ever since..right now is 2F outside.
I hope Sagpulon Falls will be nice for you but with all the rain lately I think you will experience some brown water from the mountains. CDO is our home city.
I was really weiging that option, but every Filipino told me to stay safe and go the Cebu route. The route by bike would have taken me to Ozmiz and then through Illigan, just not sure they are places I should be alone on the road. Not having recieved any blessings to go that way I decided to go the Cebu route.
Blessed are the flexible because you shall not be broken.....LOL Did you consult with Gio about the ferry's? He is pretty familiar with this kind of road trip
Not being broken is good. I really didn’t know who to ask on the fly about a roro ferry for motorbike, also everything seems to be changing so often here. One company just announced reduced ferry trips due to higher fuel costs. Everything is still in flux.
Sure they do, but even then it is not without incident or lack of a language barrier issues or chatting soneone who is unsure. There really isn’t any perfect venue for up to date information. Sometimes yes… sometimes no…sometimes maybe.
Welcome to my City Sir Vern the "city of golden friendship". Paolo Rigotti brought his car from bohol to cdo i think he spent 5k to cdo with his car. Enjoy your rider and be safe.
Yahoo you made it!! I bet the bugs are happy you finally left so they can get back to partying. haha It would have driven me nuts if someone was playing something on their phone while everyone else is trying to sleep. Some people have no social etiquette. They do it on the bus and vans also. But you made it safely and now enjoy your time there.
At the moment I was unable to find one, there may have been one in the past. Allot of the boats are still running limited runs now from the covid slow down it seems. Maybe in the future it would be great to have that run working.
It was p300 for the scooter and 2 of us for a round trip from NO to Liloan. Cokaliong is p680 for a private room to Cebu. Yes you would have saved alot of money by renting a scooter in CDO probably. Thanks for the heads up Vern. We might go to Cebu soon but I'd never drive my scooter there again, too scary.
@@HeyVernTravels If it's worse than Cebu I'll never drive there, lol. I parked my scooter in Cebu and took taxis until it was time to go back to Valencia.
i love how u take the challenges to travel vern. you never know whats ahead but u just go for it. your such a brave traveler. I think going the cebu way is much safer vern. better be safe than sorry. btw how long u plan to stay in cdo? if for short time i think would have been better to rent a bike there. Cant wait to meet your ViP vern.Im assuming its the girl u been in contact with all this time while u was abroad. Take care vern and have a safe trip.
Hi Vern, if no one notice you keep calling it a boat! The definition of a large sea going vessel is a 🚢 ship! A ⛵ is like sailboat or a motor boat like a fishing boat etc.
Lol I grew up in Minnesota almost everything we used were boats. There were some ships on the big rivers and Lake Superior but not many where I grew up. So yea , I good that up as a boat can fit inside a ship etc :)
@@HeyVernTravels But you're not an old man either Vern! At a guess I would say you are early to mid fifties? So you have hopefully another 30 or 40 years to achieve whatever you want to achieve.Right?
I am more mad at myself for not realizing how high the transportation fees have become. Knowing full well other ports are a fraction of the fee for the exact same service. I have the money, don’t wish to waste it or have someone else waste it the same way. So I share my experience for the benefit of the other travelers.

Interesting Journey Vern 🚢 Those bunks reminded me of the U.S. NAVY 🇺🇸 ⚓️ but we had 3 levels.
Thanks Ryan. A tripple bunk, a tighter squeeze I bet then ?

Thanks my friend, water was brown but still loved it :) Beautiful area, powerful and dramatic waterfall it was all good :)
I miss CDO . I hope there is ferry from dumaguete directly to CDO.
Is there still a ferry running? CDO was a cool place to explore. Salamat :)
Could have gone to dapitan from Duma and biked across to cdo?

Golly gee Vern. I guess you are gonna be there a while or else you could have rented a bike there. Its only a 4 hour bike ride?
It is to Cebu yes, but once in Cebu I rode the next boat to Cagayan Do Oro :)
Hey Vern, don't the ticket offices have phones? Or Facebook messenger to make itinerary inquiries?

Magkanu pamasahi Cagayan de Oro to dumagueti

Should have just taken the fast ferry from Dumaguete to Dapitan and rode to CDO from there. It's quite a beautiful ride.
Maybe on the way back :)Good idea.
@@HeyVernTravels Catch the ferry at Mukas, saves a lot of time.
Better take the dumaguete-dapitan route and then a road trip to cdo via ozamiz city-mukas wharf

Thanks Neal, had to learn the hard way first ha :) Cheers.
It’s $45 dude. 5 minutes of complaining about $45.
sorry but at your age if you're not working, living overseas and an extra $50--$100 is putting you out maybe you need to rethink your life choices.
