In August 2021, I had covid, I went outside and circled my house, praying for protection for my family and myself, ended up no one else got covid and I barely had any symptoms, I praise the Lord for that, my point being there is something about walking around praying and praising to the Lord.

On August 3rd, 1985, my brother was on his honeymoon in France. He and his bride had eaten a meal in Colmar at a Tunisian restaurant. Outside the restaurant was a big old fountain. His wife sat on the fountain and Steve leaned up against her. Steve fell over to the ground. He was 27, healthy and a missionary in Pakistan. His wife thought he was kidding around. But when she saw his face - she knew he was already with the Lord. His body was brought back to the states and we had a grave side service. A beautiful butterfly followed our five yr old daughter throughout the service and afterwards. I was still in shock and in major grief, but Amy said, Steve is like that butterfly. She said, "God changed him, He gave him a new body and now he's free from this earth." That perfect statement helped me begin to heal and give me perspective to life. Steve was not dead in the ground - but more alive than we were! How did my precious daughter understand this deeply spiritual truth at the age of five? Almost exactly 27 years later, Amy was called Home. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer two weeks after giving birth to her only child - a son and she only lived 10 1/2 more months. She was not surprised that she was the one in eight women who find themselves with breast cancer but she fought for life and had many wonderful experiences with the Lord like the one you described claiming restoration for your voice. We both grew closer to the Lord through her illness. At her celebration of life service which was held at her beloved elementary school where she taught, the principal gave me a book called "The Butterfly Effect". She said Amy helped produce small changes in her students lives that would make big differences in the future and have an effect on many others. Little did the principal know that butterflies were so significant to Amy and to me. This will probably come off really corny but here goes: the whole process of the struggle the butterfly has trying to exit the chrysalis forces the blood into its wings...if you help it or take that process out of the equation, it won't be able to fly.

I wonder why he was hearing transverse frets caused in a bow limb weakness?” Then I saw your album and saw you had something totally different. I was only familiar with the other word. As you shared your story I got a totally different application for myself, although it runs in the same vein. As God stretches me as a Master Archer to send an arrow downrange for his purposes, something released from my life’s energy towards some purpose he has sighted, I often feel the stretch and, in my immaturity, don’t understand that what he’s doing is intentional. I begin to fret as my mind runs contrary, runs across or transverse, to what he’s doing. The fret begins to appear at the place where I have a weakness: the surface fretting gathers at the point of weakness in my limbs, the parts of my body set apart to serve God’s purposes. Chrysaling does not have to be a permanent mar on a bow. It can be bent back the other way, have patches applied, the point can be strengthened, and the bow will be strong again, useful for a long time afterward. God doesn’t pull my weaknesses to the surface to shame me or break me: my fretting that runs contrary to his designs merely points to an underlying weakness that may be addressed before it leads to me being marred and broken beyond repair. You have wonderful gifts, sir! God sends many wonderful things out from you downrange to hit the bullseye of targets that you’ll never even know you have been hitting. However, in the sending out of these arrows, you are bent, you are stretched, you are bowed in worship. Some chrysaling was appearing, you were fretting a bit, but you emerged stronger as you allowed a Master Archer to address the underlying weakness in your limbs, the parts of you that release Christ in the earth. Thank you for sharing this story! My nine year old loves your music, and I can't wait to show him this video. To clarify, our whole family really enjoys your music and the gift you have been given. God used butterflies to speak to me after my cancer surgery and around the time of my grandmother's passing. My grandmother's mother used to write Ecclesiastes 3:11 in every card she would send me. Can't help but think of that verse when seeing a butterfly! He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

This will probably come off really corny but here goes: the whole process of the struggle the butterfly has trying to exit the chrysalis forces the blood into its wings...if you help it or take that process out of the equation, it won't be able to fly.

Yo, matey! Great story and testimony. Love it! When you said your friend said he heard, “Chryasling” I thought, “Wow, interesting. I wonder why he was hearing transverse frets caused in a bow limb weakness?” Then I saw your album and saw you had something totally different. I was only familiar with the other word. As you shared your story I got a totally different application for myself, although it runs in the same vein. As God stretches me as a Master Archer to send an arrow downrange for his purposes, something released from my life’s energy towards some purpose he has sighted, I often feel the stretch and, in my immaturity, don’t understand that what he’s doing is intentional. I begin to fret as my mind runs contrary, runs across or transverse, to what he’s doing. The fret begins to appear at the place where I have a weakness: the surface fretting gathers at the point of weakness in my limbs, the parts of my body set apart to serve God’s purposes. Chrysaling does not have to be a permanent mar on a bow. It can be bent back the other way, have patches applied, the point can be strengthened, and the bow will be strong again, useful for a long time afterward. God doesn’t pull my weaknesses to the surface to shame me or break me: my fretting that runs contrary to his designs merely points to an underlying weakness that may be addressed before it leads to me being marred and broken beyond repair. You have wonderful gifts, sir! God sends many wonderful things out from you downrange to hit the bullseye of targets that you’ll never even know you have been hitting. However, in the sending out of these arrows, you are bent, you are stretched, you are bowed in worship. Some chrysaling was appearing, you were fretting a bit, but you emerged stronger as you allowed a Master Archer to address the underlying weakness in your limbs, the parts of you that release Christ in the earth. Sweet, dawg! Way to be. I loved hearing about your process of surrender, courageous praise in the midst of difficulty, and embracing the ministry of the body. What a wonderful jaunt with our Dad. Thanks for sharing your story behind the song. Thanks for being vulnerable: you pumped me up.
