Hahaha. Charlie is the King of comedy / Master of all the artists. No dialogue! The actors who are doing along with, is equally doing great. Well done, the whole team. 👏👏 👏 May God bless their families.
I'm amazed that these deleted scenes from Chaplin's films have survived! Hours of footage and even entire films from that era haven't been so lucky. Especially those shot on nitrate stock. I know Chaplin did a lot of his own editing, he must have kept an archive of deleted footage or something.

I watched this clip probably a thousand times and only just now realised Chaplin looks at the camera everytime our attention is focused elsewhere. Not only was he still being a good director, he knew when to do it during the film. Goddamn legend

Having children with his wife at 70 yrs old, still working and stating that "time is my only enemy" because he still wanted to do so much more in life, he wasn't done yet,......watching his brilliance shine through his videos makes me feel so mediocre with my life. Wish I could've met him. No other person will EVER come close to Charlie Chaplin.
He always has a smile on his face.... and make us forget our worries and problems.... but we have to know that he was banned from America for more than 30 years: God bless America.
I so wish I could go back in time and meet Chaplin and tell him that he is remembered and that his work is still so important. He feared that he would be forgotten, and I wish I could assuage that fear.
It will be quite appropriate if we imagine Charlie as a beginner phd student trying to several way impress a rude and angry phd supervisor with his small skill but making a disaster finally....consider this chair a as a crudely written code by a beginner phd student which almost fail to serve its purpose .Nice scene ..Great fun
Funny but i understand why deleted scene : way too long ! Too long to be credible, anyone would react otherwise if we were the client (beginning by not stay in this barber shop 1mn !). And the best joke, if it takes way too long, can be boring. But i admit it's genius, from Chaplin but from A. Austin too ! :) Thanks for putting this online, Chaplin was really a great comic.
Everything..Chaplin is funny person, romantic, humble, and alone. 🙂
over 100 years later this is still gold
I laughed harder at that than most comedies I've seen in at least 5 years.
King of comedy. No match and no substitute even after 100 years plus.
Haha 😂 I don’t know how he trusted him at the first place 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The way he was sharpening the knife was like butchers. OMG! That was brilliant
I’d buy that chair for my home office during the pandemic then I wouldn’t get bored at all 😂😂😂
Never can forget the best Charlie Chaplin
We very very miss you Charlie. 😂😂
Over 50 years since he exited the stage, still no one comes close to the funniest comedian ever in the world.
Mr. Bean hit close
Look diego capusotto from ARGENTINA ....
That chair was certainly the star of this scene.
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Felt good watching this Fine artist do what he did best!

Shoots the most brutal slapstick scene ever
Everything short of maiming.

Summed it up perfectly! His divorce from Mildred and mental breakdown coincided with this. Plus the loss of his child after 3 days.
