Give Meena a spinoff in prison! The Emmerdale fans who want her to get her comeuppance (yawn) so the show can get back to the same auld boring shit get what they want, while the Meenatainment can continue elsewhere.
Any time with Queen Meena on screen = pure gold. Manpreet will be visiting next week I think (or if not then the week after), which will be interesting. If Meena escapes down the line, it will be one of the least surprising prison escapes in soap history, but will be very welcome as she needs to continue to wreak more havoc.

@@oliviacharlotte2093 I don’t think it has at all. Serial killer storylines by their nature have to be extended, and she killed Leanna less than 8 months ago. There was a longer period of time between Richard Hillman killing Patricia and getting rumbled by Gail in Corrie, than between Meena killing Leanna and getting arrested / charged here. Plus thanks to Meena the ratings have shot up, so the storyline has gone down very well.

The SL completely annoys me because it involves no legacy characters whatsoever, to make it worthwhile. She's a good actress but it doesn't take away from the fact that these producers are showcasing nothing characters. Characters with no real connections to the show. And certainly none that are that bonded. This SL should have been done with Lachlan and have him kill off his family and then peripheral characters. I don't CARE about Meena or her sister or all of these new characters. If Paige were a Dingle, or some other blood connection to a core family maybe it would be different but I could care less about any of the characters she's killed or attempted to kill.
