It's not actually confusing. He wants to be a member of the ANC in order for him and MK to have access to the ANC's donors and connections.

The ANC is undersiege from its own making.They created factionalism,cabals and cliques and Winnie Madikizela Mandela warned them about this.
They making the two provinces to account in defence of NEC which Thabo Mbeki pronounced manier times his doubt of its political capacity.

Let me tell you, the decline and loss of support in KZN was caused by the ANC senior leadership "by their mere poor handling of it's firmer president who hail from that particular province and him being very influential" like they know very well and they have stated it publicly, KZN votes on tribal lines
To blame it on the PEC is utter nonsense, they are the one to blame because it's their own making. They ousted Zuma and his whole NDZ camp since in 2017, deviding the party and even throwing an 80 year old to jail, can this be blamed on Mtolo really? Can this be blamed on Duma?

ANC must be honest to itself, there were two ballots that elect the president and premier (not counting the third ballot deliberately) if you hold the premier candidate responsible for drop in elections then you must also hold the presidential candidate responsible aswell, they both lost by similar margins… logically you can’t punish the other and leave the other you will further divide the organisation…

I am thankful of OR Tambo,Nelson Rholihlahla Mandela and Thabo Mvunyelwa Mbeki who kept the shape of ANC intact for years dispite insults they absorbed dispite they being blamed of keeping presidency for Xhosa speaking and the way wad goven to this clique since 2007 and their own supporters are now hurling insults to them.
Remember ,the 2007 clique hated Mbeki ,their hate produced what we have hunting hyennas who laugh so loud as they hunting for their food from Government.
