This is an awesome review! But for anyone interested in this kit...the mia secret pearl nail art powder IS acrylic powder. Its a pearl finish. Its deff very mica heavy and not really something i would build a whole nail with. And would always encapsulate it however it 100% is an acrylic powder. I own the pearl collection and those are a few shades from the collection. They all say nail art powder for some reason. But i promise they are acrylics 💚
Had no idea a kit like this was available. Like many others, I would have definitely bought this at the beginning of the pandemic when salons were closed. I’m actually excited to try this one and look forward to your series.

hey i’m a nail tech myself and just for some constructive info, the “pigments” are actually acrylic. I thought the same thing and mixed it with clear but it’s def colored acrylic
I love how you wash them at the end before polish, so many people forget that part!!!

The young nails kit is nice! The brush could be better, but I still use the stuff that came in the kit after 3 months

I think the small art powder thingies is chrome because it does look like from glitter, and when you put it on your skin, it is similar to chrome

I’m so glad I found your vids. I was having a hard time understanding other vids about building apex , cleaning up around cuticles, and how to work my brush to have a thin free edge. Granted I’ve not tried acrylic yet. I just been working with different gels , and poly gels. But I still thinking watching these techniques is going to help with that and when I attempt some acrylics. Awesome thank you . Plus you seem so down to earth . And real bout things . So cool. Keep on!……. Have you tried any young nail products yet? I’m debating between Mia or the young nail ultimate acrylic kit .

I keep seeing people use oil under base gel for a peel off hack. Won't using gel polish on top of cuticle oil contaminate or affect the integrity of gel that's inside the bottle?
Have you tried or purchased the YOUNG NAILS acrylic box sets they have 3 different types of ones for your level or how your speed is and they come with a lot

I always think beginner nail kits acrylic wise always drys fast maybe because the manufacturer of the kit doesn’t want the customer to struggle with runny beads as a beginner and maybe they also dry fast to encourage speed while doing sets to finish the application part anyway but ofc beginners need more time to perfect application what’s speed without sufficiency
