From the lads working through Germany and then at Thornley Manor and Arizona, this small scene between Dennis and Oz squeezes the whole series together for me.

my favourite scene is the end if the special when dennis nevil and oz are on the ferry going back to germany. just how it all started and dennis has a picture of the lads. after watching all the series its a nice way to remember how it started and sad the wayne and bomber have gone. Auf Weidersehen Pet.

I watched the series all over again and just finished it the chemistry is strong and always have a sulk cause bomber is gone.
When i was a little kad hust over from ireland i loved Bomber cause of his real name Pat Roach and he wrestled in green i thought he was a paddy like me me SMH🤣🤣

Loved these clips one in Cuba when Oz tells cattayna Barry's Russian girlfriend that "he didn't know if she's loved Barry but he oz did and he warned her not to mess Barry about. Class

Your right the later series are not as good as 1 & 2 which are pure genius, but the later series do have some good bits. Not gems like the first 2 but still worth a watch.

Do you know what your right that scene doesn’t just sum up the series it sums up many a male friendship. this was classic television it’s a pity they never made more.

Pity there was such a big gap in timing with the sequels....to be honest the first 2 are my favourites.

First 2 series were the best. Started to get too Woke thanks to the BBC versions..

Auf Wiedersehen Pet died when this BBC crap appeared... First two ITV series are masterpieces and felt almost like documentaries that captured real characters, in real environments, shot on video. This is too cinematic and contrived, shot on film... And PC...
Series 3 is ok…in fact it might be better than half of season 2…. Also there was a general shift in peoples attitudes from early 80s to 2000s, even the most trogolodite of you learned to reign it in a bit…yet again 30,000 of human evolution is merely a rumour to some.
@@trefwoordpunk2225 Is it Bollox man! Series 3 is crap from the get-go. A lot of the fun in the first 2 was that Oz in particular was a troglodyte but a funny one. When that was reigned in the fun went.. Simples.
Series 3 signalled the downfall of this show - ridiculous scripts, actors going through the motions and absolutely nothing new to be enjoyed apart from the locations

I disagree mate tbh. Series 3 and 4 needed a change of tact and direction because the lads had got older and obviously, Gary Holton had passed. They were still good to watch and had plenty of funny moments and the usual camaraderie. For sure, 3 & 4 weren't the same as the first 2 back in eighties, but that would be like comparing apples with oranges. AWP is still the 'joint' best show to have graced our tv screens in past 4 decades (along with OFAH). Just my personal opinion.
