    I'm still so gutted for you, but totally appreciate that it could have been so much worse. I am so pleased that I thought to get out my phone and film you when I did! There will be other events, I'm sure I'll get to cheer you on again soon. Much love to you, your mum, Dan, Star and Atty xx

    Dressage - Stop,
    stop, stop beating yourself up!! Star stayed in the boards and you stayed on. Experience is what you and Star gained. Everyone of us has had a rough test. Xcountry, again experience is what you obtained!! It’s a BIG course! Kick on girl and keep going. You have what it takes and so does Star!! Support from the USA 🇺🇸 🏇

    Oh bless you, I was so willing you to cling on even though I knew what was coming! You have worked so hard this season you so deserved a better time of it. I dont think you could have done anymore with the dressage to set him up for success he'd just decided that he wasn't going to give you an easy time. He's such a capable, talented horse and it's all in there, one day he's going to give you the results you've been working for for sure! Xx

    Oh bless you Flo I am so gutted for you! You absolutely smashed the tricky combinations at 4 and 6! You will get back there and complete for sure!! So glad you’re both ok!! Xxx

    Flo… how epic did you both ride that drop and skinny 😍 Thank god you got to ride through that, and so confidently too! So unlucky you couldn’t climb yourself back into the saddle but you know you are more than capable to come back fighting next season! All the best x

    Ah, babes watching you get emotional after the dressage nearly made me cry for you! We've all been there, except most of us experiencing similar lows at a much lower level! I think you're amazing and so brave for competing at the level you do! Excited for the throwback when this is your 'Star then' and you're showing us you both smashing it in the 'Star Now' video!

    Oh I cried! When you jumped the drop and the skinny.. you are so brave and talented.. well done.. It was not deserved to not complete. On Star and the tense ness - have you thought of doing in hand work? A la Kelly marks or Steve young horsemanship. That way he might relax more in the atmospheres as you would figure more in his thinking - (not saying he doesn't look to you for security - but maybe he needs a tad more) Having said that I recognise that you have been doing all sorts to help him..

    Don’t be hard on yourself hon! If there were that many Es then hon you did beautifully! Be proud. You certainly jumped that drop/arrow combo better than the first one you showed. Best of luck for the future. Take the positives and enjoy! ❤ we look forwards to your journey with him.

      Thank you so much! He really did jump the tricky first section of the course beautifully, which is certainly promising for the future!! x

      @@flocartereventing you did well! Remember the positives and learn from the negatives. The fact you coped and carried on after dressage was so so SO good! Well done. Best of luck! 💗💗💗🤞🏻

    As long as you're both ok. Have you tried calming cookies or something similar? Just might take the edge off. Onwards and upwards ❤

    Gutted for you, but we all have those times when things just don't go our way! On the positive Star has come a long way, he is not so hyper and anxious as he used to be, and his jumping is super, the dressage had got lots better in terms of his demeanour and lets face it, we don't have a clue what goes through their heads sometimes! Just keep doing what you're doing 👌 it will work out fine in the end. Btw how good was he down that big drop? Bless him, I for one absolutely love him! Good luck for next season with both boys, they are both gorgeous and a credit to you ❤️ 💕

      @@flocartereventing I bet, I honestly get what you were saying about your dressage too. I feel like it’s a good few steps forward then feels like sometimes we’re back to square one. So frustrating as we know they can do it. X

    Aw Flo - not the best end to the season and your first International 1 star, but there's always next year. Star took on the BIG drop fence/combination like a pro.
    What a lovely, totally supportive boyfriend you have there too.
    Enjoy your final year in uni - all the best. xOx

    You showed tremendous courage Flo - the drop & arrowhead were brutal & you rode like a pro🎉. Glad you & Star are ok. You are both extremely talented - falls or non-scheduled dismounts happen. Do you think that some guidance from one of the professional eventers might help you with Star as you step up a level (with his dressage & tips for calming him)? It would make for an awesome vlog (if any potential sponsors are reading this). You & your boys are ones to watch - thank you for sharing the highs & lows - upwards & onwards, Flo. I love watching you & your boys progress - best wishes to you (& team Flo) for all that is to come 🤗

      Thank you! I really appreciate that. We’re all good, if a little disappointed. I’ve been having regular lessons with a pro at home but agree there is a conversation to be had about what the next steps are for a horse who goes up a level at big shows, it’s a hard one to train for at home!! x

  • @kippen64

    The dressage that you do at home is always much nicer than the dressage that you do in competition. Pity about the fall.

    Oh Flo - what a disappointment but like you say - could have been so much worse and his (and your) confidence wasn't knocked and that's important. And he has shown that he's capable of it! And we know he can produce far better dressage because he's done some lovely tests this year. It's all there, just needs unlocking and some chill from the boy - you'll get there.

  • @bromsonstud
    @bromsonstud ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you have a proper BD trainer for dressage? To me he looks behind your leg and you don’t have a true connection because of this. Shorter reins and carry your hands, and push him into that contact. Winter homework 😊

    • @bromsonstud
      @bromsonstud ปีที่แล้ว

      Can highly recommend Gareth and Rebecca Hughes for training!

    You both looked great down the bank and over the arrowhead! Eventing is so tough to get all phases right. You hung on to Star like a limpet but at some point just gotta admit defeat to gravity. Landing on your feet and nobody injured is still a pretty good outcome.
