I like this just because its different, I love it when it's fast, can make out the notes, and understand his words both ways, but sometimes having small changes add more life to a long and perhaps the speed could actually give off different moods too
I dont like Dragonforce at all but this is fucking awesome. I used to wonder if this song could become improved at all and didn't come up with anything but never thought of slowing the song down with deeper vocals lol. And also this whole time I thought the drummer only hit one drum at a time but he's hitting multiple instantly 0.o
No offense to the DragonForce, I love them as a band.. But this version just so much more believable to be performed... Even still sounds badass and skillfull
That's true but they do actually play it at this speed. The fact that there are people who do covers at 100% speed make it more believable too. It is doable.
See, this....this right here is fucking incredible. Like I get that they based the whole band around the fact that Herman Li is really fast...but not EVERY SINGLE song HAS to be like that....I'd love it if they would do like some songs at this speed. You can actually make out the notes during the solos. It makes it seem way more impressive when you think about how fast he's playing what he's playing when you can actually tell what he's playing XD
@hmcvirgo92 A full tone i.e A vs B is .89 the frequency of the note before. This would mean that at 90% speed everything is shifted down slightly less than one full tone, unless time stretching is used.
@Th3M4st3r0fL0L I wish I knew. Back when I made this I didn't know anything about music theory. I just slowed it down in a program. I still don't know much theory...
I know this comment is 6 years and a joke, but when I saw them live when they supported Iron Maiden they played it full speed. Also if you look for a drum cover with "epic win" in the title you'll see the new drummer for DF. He just done a cover and got picked up by them.
It's funny how a 10% speed reduction can totally change the sound of the song. It almost sounds like it could be a cover done by another band.
@Felipe Gomes how. there are so many live performances
@@buzzword-valentino ?
@@davidhochgruber6774 what?
This actually sounds better O.o

Day after day THIS MISERY MUST GO OOOONN!!!!🤘🔥🔥🔥🤘
This is perfection... mother of GOD
Much better

Dragonforce is one of the greatest existing bands of all time. Very high on the list. Top 50
well this version is possibly playable on GH3....
It'll still hurt
Especially since it's 8 mins long now
Playing this at 0.75% speed maked it sound like your ordinary rock song :P A testiment to how fast the song actually is.
Na
First slowed version on TH-cam !
wow this is actuallly really good, the solo seems so chillled out lol, voice is good too
@ZebZeppelin
actually you do. it may be slowed down/lower pitch, but there are like 25 high Bs.
this sounds really good!!
Bb minor
Needs a 7 string :P
@@user-vv7gt2hu7p Not necessarily. The original was done in Eb tuning, I think, so you could feasibly do this in Db tuning
C minor - A year late, but now you know...
No, the key of the original song is C minor.

I know this comment is old but Cry Thunder is pretty slow and good
@@Cookie0927 oooh I'll have to listen to it
Regular version: Freshman year
This version: Senior year

Dragon force all the way!!!
The vocals just sound fucking awesome like this.
Just awesome :O
The singer ´s voice sounds so BADASS !
ZP Theart is a God.
Thanks this is helping me learn it on drums!
My fav part about this is the key change. Sounds better when lowered.
YESSSSSSSS
Much better than the "WTF was that?" version
Awesome
Like 'n Fav
Wow, the song is actually listenable now
Sounds like it would be a suspenseful movie at the beginning
I like this version better
@Rygith thats probably because now the vocals have normal echo's
@rockerseven nah :P they probs recorded it at 50%. Seen em live about 6 or 7 times now and they never managed to actually play the solos.
Before the video: great. someone else screwing up dragonforce music.
Afterwards: huh. that was pretty good. What's this guys name?.........HA!
this is what they should sound like...
@Th3M4st3r0fL0L I wish I knew. Back when I made this I didn't know anything about music theory. I just slowed it down in a program. I still don't know much theory...
4:42 yay
OMG!!! I hate Dragonforce but this sounds a ton better than the original!!!
4:41
goes to show
@SpitzNamen597 Always one of "these guys" on a dragonforce video who neglect the successful live performances.
i use this version to drum to :D
Haha same!
THERE IS ACTUALLY DECENT SOUNDING SONG BEHIND THE SPED UP SHIT!!!!
4 :32 start the headbangin!
I'd suppose there is no real purpose in it, I just think it sounds better than the recorded version.
you can sing along with this? you must be a VERY high tenor
I like the new key to the song. Is it one key higher or two keys lower?
Nice
This song is finally actually GOOD! They actually have songs that are slower like this on the next album such as Reasons To Live
Even if the best part is from 0:00 to 8:15, my favourite one is from 0:22 to 0:44
Sounds like a legitimate guess to me.
@bedinacanuser The original version was C, so... B? Just a guess.
Just wondering... did you have to go through the WMG copywright hassle?
Damn right there better be 0 dislikes........
And this was how it REALLY sounded when they originally recorded it.

luke shanley They recorded it like this and then sped it up. Any time they play it live it sounds terrible and nothing like how they recorded it.
@@CrabbyDragon Nah mate. The newer concerts are a lot better.
amazing
@bedinacanuser that ok. But it is still in meh favorites : )
lol the voice ^ ^
Spudboy41 Actual voice is high pitched. Sometimes he voice cracks, but he can sing
ZP Theart now sounds like Phil Collins. I love it
That is epic as hell
still can't play it...
What key is this?
B minor?
well I'm a baritone and this is way too high for me
doesn't the singer sound like he could also sing blues?
@mrbobbo666 k thanks
WAYYY BETER
Much, MUCH better than the origional
Josiah's👦🏻
lmao!!!
This is the actual way it sounds, they speed up the track to make it sound cool. Lost a lot of respect for them when I found this out
Hasn't that been proven to be false though?
