'Shade' | Digitakt 2 & Moog Matriarch Ambient | OP-1 Field | Soundscape & Meditative

Reorganising samples as a foundational soundscape can be extremely inspiring. For this, I used Digitakt 2 in ‘werp’ mode, triggering a new position in a drone sample in 1/8 segments, playing in reverse - giving it a rhythmic feel. Modulation also gives it that sweeping filter and panning effect. This is then sent to Chase Bliss mood, recorded into stretch mode and downsampled. I also have a tape loop running on the OP-1 field, into the Digitakt and into the Mood. Jumble is playing a lovely synth sample as another foundation bed, sent into Cloud. I then recorded a melodic phrase with a piano sample, and improvised on the Moog Matriarch, which is the slightly distorted tones you hear throughout with a ton of delay.
