My country has faced this since independence and it saddens us to say the least. But we the younger generation want to view Africa from a different perspective and with our voices we want to chant to the world the good values, resources and natural wealth we have. • @kayizziritah3029

      I studied animal behaviour as my first degree. Did safaris in East and southern Africa. Yes I agree best organised safaris are in Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia. My favourite was Botswana Kasane gave me access to a meeting point of 6 countries so beautiful & of course Maun loved the concept. You want richest wild rich safari, big 5 plus all primates chimpanzees, gorillas these you find in DRC & Uganda, which have very disorganized safaris because governments of these countries are so busy importing guns for wars in the region than making respectful trade agreements for resources & build infrastructure.

When leaders fail, the country suffers. To stop corruption is not a matter of people figuring it out but more about making and implementing policies. Leadership is top to bottom but legitimacy is bottom to top.

    In an effort to build a country that would unite Kenyans, the first president of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta, planned it that the national language of Kenya was Swahili. Swahili was chosen because it was the native language of the Swahili peoples, an ethnic minority at the Kenyan coast and also because it is the official and national language of Tanzania, Kenya's southern neighbor. Jomo Kenyatta's planners not only wanted national unity, but regional unity as well.
    The Kenya national anthem tune was from a Pokomo song. The Pokomo are another ethnic minority in Kenya's coastal region. By elevating the cultures of these ethnic minorities, Kenyatta and the rest of Kenya's founding fathers wanted to create a country where your character and fortitude, rather than your ethnicity defined what you would achieve.

    • @ChichiEfe
      @ChichiEfe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wow! The comment section truly hold more information, history and deeper facts about Kenya🇰🇪 I didn't know about the Pokomo tribe in the coastal region of Kenya or that the origin of the tune of the anthem lies in one of the tribe's song. A deeper sense of unity is achieved when everyone is carried along. Your founding fathers have love and wisdom in their hearts that subsequent generations are benefitting from
      A wealth of history lies at the root of your great nation 🇰🇪

    Agriculture is actually Kenya's biggest earner and not tourism like many people assume. Kenya exports large volumes of coffee, tea, cut-flowers, avocadoes, green beans, mangoes and pineapples. And yes very diverse in terms of people and culture- Bantus, Nilotes, Cushites and the mixed heritage Swahili people on the Kenyan Coast who are a mix of Bantus, Arabs, Persians and Asians. Kenya shares some tribes with Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia and Ethiopia. The reason Kenyans find it weird that Nigerians think ALL Kenyans are dark skinned. Kenyans do not have a certain look.
