      @@dudedavid522 I wish I could thumbs up a hundred times. At worst this should be a one-time purchase to for the software, or build it into the cost of the lens and make it free.

    Great Utility, it works really well. I am currently applying my LUT in davinci resolve, however your vr utility also has a LUT option, for me it is always greyed out and does nothing when I click on it. The manual says nothing about it either, so how can I make use of the LUT function?

    • @CanonUSA
      @CanonUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello:
      We understand you have questions on the LUT feature of the VR Utility. The LUT button is described in the Utility manual. under the [Specifying a Segment to Export] section of the manual. Here is a link: canon.us/3MJO5p0 Our Cinema support agents are happy to help you with this setting. You can contact them at at 1-855-246-3367, 24 hours, 7 days a week, excluding holidays.
      We hope this helps.

    So... please correct me if I misunderstood. I can use RAW video with the VR Utility but not with the Premiere Pro plug-in. Correct?
    Another question: how / where can I look in Premiere Pro to see such things as: do I have the plug-in installed correctly? and What version of the plug-in do I have?
    I'm really looking forward to exploring the VR space. I think slowly but eventually VR versions of videos will be "expected".
    One nit: it seems rather cheap for Canon to require paid subscriptions to their VR software. I already have $5K+ invested in Canon equipment. A few pieces of software that are essentially required seems like they should be free.

    Wasn't support for R6 R3 and R6 ii also added to this update? (Saw that it recognizes them now) Would be great to know if those work or not and what any drawback is. R6 6k 60 is appealing. I mean same price as r5 after buying the external recorder to get 6k 60...but I'd rather have that than 8k 30 or 4k 60 choices. To me it's like that route or all the way to r5c. Or save a bunch and settle on R8 and cheaper external to at least get 4k 60 in all-i. Ugh so many routes...with R8 and R6 ii 6k 60 not currently available to make it more fun. But landing on r5 for this now sure doesn't feel like a route. Unless they firmware'd 6k 60 in. Which would melt it apparently. And any external route would take it to r5c price anyway. So yeah surely atomos is going to be looking forward to all the r6 6k folks.

      Hello
      If you go to Software & Drivers section for the lens at the link below, you can click on the current version of the software and then on [Details]. (Link: canon.us/rf5_2fisheye_software ) Once there, click on [More Download Info]. The following window will provide details to the latest update to the software, including supported camera models; the EOS R5 and R5 C. If you have more questions our Cinema support agents are happy to help you. You can reach them 24/7 at 855-246-3367.
      We hope this helps.

      Is there some fundamental issue keeping say the R6 ii from being "supported"? If you recommend shooting in dci 8k OR 4k.... then I'm sure everyone wonders what exactly is wrong with the other R options. Now including the R8. You'd think they'd want to sell as many lenses as possible. Can't help but imagine R6 ii 6k 60p trumps the r5 on out completely and maybe that's why. Because any recommended shooting at 30p (8k) for vr doesn't make much sense on its own.

    • @StormandskydotCom
      @StormandskydotCom ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Or is this "works with just r5 r5c only" mostly because the others don't have magic window and other not show ending things in their camera's firmware. It's just annoying the entry point is mostly just a $4500 point or a $3500 camera that can't be as good as the r6 ii plus external recorder at the same price for 6k 60

      @@StormandskydotCom I couldn't agree with you more. I don't know why Canon can't make this work with the R6 ii even if it's at a lower resolution.
