When I attracted HD teaching to myself fall of 2021 I have already Come Home to Self. I was embodying Self love not learning to love myself. As HD is reflecting back to me the way that my journey is naturally unfolding I was in TEARS what a beautiful mirror HD has been to reflect back to me ... I AM WALKING MY AUTHENTIC PATH... finally. So yes I agree! Witnessing as supposed to making something happen is definitely the golden key.

Having the piece about *living into* my IC is so brilliant to know (right angle cross of tension 48/21 39/38). I'm an 4/6 Emotional authority Manifestor, split definition, currently deconditioning from being bludgeoned into trying to be a Generator most of my life and learning more about what Informing looks and behaves like as I go forward. I have been very intrigued to sit with this HD information in light of the weight of having been extremely abused in childhood, which triggered some hardcore trauma conditions for decades and I think were instrumental in slowing down my graduation into the 3rd phase of my 6 after my 50th (I'm now 58), as well as how being profoundly gifted has potentially impacted my design- my intensities and propensity for constant Positive Disintegration (Dabrowski style) is something I'm holding in the space as I consider the impact of my Mani nature. SO much gold in my learning- I've been doing very little but diving into this since it clicked for me just over a week ago and this video helped me greatly in getting my head around the significance of the IC. Knowing that I'll observe its presence as I'm *living* my S&A is incredibly helpful- I'm still getting my head around HOW to do that because Mani's are so different from the other types. @@orionohev Oh it’s absolutely an ongoing deconditioning that I’m still diving into- I feel like I’m currently in a multifaceted cloud of glittering elements whirling around me as I slowly pull everything together, not just from within HD but within a myriad of other structures and knowings that I have. I am sitting with the realisation that my Strategy of Informing works best for me when I have individuals around me that *genuinely* care for me, so that I have a motivation and emotionally resonant environment that supports me in the challenge of Informing (because in my life I’ve been very allergic to that in the past due to the resistance); learning that *I* can be the actual source of the resistance to my own Higher way of Being by allowing *unsupportive or dysregulated individuals into my life* who I then go into resistance with (because they’re not trustworthy with the truth of my inner Self) has been a real wake up call. I have learned that I need to be trustworthy *towards myself* by truly dropping into my inner knowing around what I’m *really* here to express and to stay anchored in that rather than going into resistance with it (due to childhood trauma conditioning and ideas of keeping myself ‘safe’ which actually massively interferes with the unfolding of my design)- the links between childhood trauma and the way I’ll collapse *into* the conditioning by allowing things that my design is not aligned with have been compelling to recognise. I’m deeply committed to the truth of me, ultimately, so even as I’m discovering the new places I have to align with in order to do that (and recognising that even though I’m *willing* it’s still going to be challenging)- I keep diving more deeply into my design because I know that there’s more in there that can help me understand the struggles I’ve had. Informing is so much easier and pleasurable when I actually can rest into the *truth* of the connection between myself and others, which I have only recently started to be honest with myself about.

My incarnation cross is the right angle cross of tension 2 ((39/38 | 21/48)). I am here to provoke tension and triggering people´s not-self....it´s really not the easiest cross to have especially with a manifestor aura which can be very provoking by itself. Sometimes I ended up beeing yelled at aggressively by people, especially men....
Just a slight clarification, you're here to trigger people's Spirit, wherever they are on the journey. If you're in a low emotional wave, you're more likely to trigger their not-self. If you're in a neutral or high wave, you're more likely to trigger their natural Design. How you provoke people gives you information if their Spirit is aligned with yours. And the invitation and practice of this gate is to not take it personally if their provoked in a "negative" way but to use it as information. This takes practice of course. And yes as a Manifestor, I could imagine this being more challenging. And I'm sorry you find yourself being yelled at aggressively :( That's not fun. Those environments/communities/relationships, if that happens frequently likely aren't the correct ones for you. That is information that those people aren't correct for you. And also remember to honor your moods. This doesn't mean you can never go out and be social when in a low wave but it does mean to honor when your energy is asking you to stay home if in a low wave. I found it hard to have this cross, but you are right when I am in the right mood I am very inspiring to people and I am bringing transformation. Honestly, even before I knew HD I was aware that I am getting information about people by watching them react to me, because I am really like a mirror. Now I really know why. And I know they are showing me quickly they are not meant for me. But it is interessting and good to know that it also depends on my own frequency and I can do something about it. This cross is all about being fully in your own creative flow, without thought of a goal. Fully immersed. And when you do so, you will attract attention and recognition by society to you. Yet at the same time, people with this cross often have very strong principles that cause them to reject others or be rejected if the principles don't align, and in that way protecting others in the tribe and protecting differences and uniqueness, especially yours. In another comment, you mentioned you're a projector so as you wait for invitations and utilize your authority to know which are correct for you, you'll begin to find yourself in more and more situations with people that align to your principles. Not everyone who recognizes your creativity and invites you into opportunities or connection will be correct. But when they are correct, you have a real potential for innovative guidance as well. I'm the Left Angle Cross of Endeavour 48/21 | 53/54. I used to tell my friends that I'm like a starving artist with no discernible artistic ability...but alas I aspire lol. Now, years later, it still rings true. The trick is to somehow try and keep it moving when you start to sink too deep into rejection.
Curious, are your Root, Spleen, and Ego Centers defined or open. What is your Authority? With a Left Angle cross, your purpose will most easily move through you when you orient your life towards others, observing them and interacting with them to fulfill your purpose. The people you choose to spend time with need to mean something for your role in the bigger picture. And your Strategy and Authority will naturally guide you to those people. What is your Authority and Type? With this Cross, it's important to be the one who is in control in situations, directing your drive, depth of wisdom, and skills to move up the social ladder and get projects started. It's about embracing your inner "I'll do it myself" with consistency. With all that said, I know the challenge of navigating experiences of rejection. Your explanation about purpose moving through you, through your design, makes so much more sense. Mine is the RAX Unexpected 3 - still exploring how this shows up and working to avoid struggling with how many times it's depicted as "struggle" energy. Oof.
I'm so glad this hit for you! Since RAX Unexpected 3 has Gate 28 in the Personality Sun position, there is an energy of "struggle" since Gate 28 is one half of the Channel or Struggle. But it doesn't have to be "hard". I have the Channel of Struggle defined in my chart and have learned how to work with the energy in a powerful way. Gate 28 is the instincts to know what fights to fight and the energy of fighting for independence, yours and others. It's about finding meaning in the "struggle" of the hero's journey. But when you're following your Strategy and Authority and instincts, you'll always be in the "correct" struggles, able to become a truly influential leader by being an example of someone who finds meaning in the struggle and grows through it. The shadow of the 28 is not listening to the Strategy and Authority and ending up in struggles that aren't correct for you. And with this cross, you may end up caring or taking responsibility for people that aren't correct for you, which uses a lot of your energy and won't have the desired outcome. Hope that supports! And, as you mentioned in your comment, the real freedom comes when you're trusting your body's wisdom to guide you more and more and watching yourself step into leadership through the correct struggles that happen through you. And you get to watch it happen.

Being made up of Gates 50, 3, 31, and 41, the Gate of Wishes is about standing up for the values of communities you're a part of and fighting against values that aren't supportive. This is largely to ensure tribes that are supportive for the full expression of the next generation, as you weather the frustration of the pace in which society is ready for the mutative change you can bring forth in the correct moments. You have the capacity to carry communities to a new future in a leadership position, as long as you're elected or invited, letting your impulse to do something new and feel new feelings drive you to create something new - as long as you do that by following your Strategy and Authority.
Yes, I love it too! HD systematically stripped away 99% of my skepticism over the last 9 years and 450 readings. I always hold onto a healthy 1% but it's pretty incredible!
The cool thing about the IC is you don't have to apply it! You just have to watch for it and see where it's happening as you live your design more and more and more. It's meant to be confusing for the mind, which is what I love about it. Because it's carrying the wisdom that your can't DO your purpose. You can just practice getting out of the way so it can happen.
I'm not sure about all this neutrino stuff, although I do appreciate the spirit of this enterprise. Definately food for thought, for better or for worse 😂

My hesitancy comes from knowing something about them and how little they actually interact with matter. How difficult they are to detect in the ice cube experiment for example. Doesn't seem a very efficient method of communitmcation. That and the I Ching essentially replacing the lunar mansion system it would appear from an astrological perspective. Though I know next to nothing about the I ching
Hi! I have the Right Angle Cross of Planning (40/37 | 16/9)... That 40/37 Channel of Community shows up a TON in my bodygraph (hello, Virgo stellium) lol. Honestly, when I first saw that, I thought it was profoundly boring (especially compared to ICs called things like Vessel of Love and Sleeping Phoenix). But now I feel more like embracing all of the aspects of myself (including those that are more mundane and those that are more profound). I think the perspective of incarnation crosses as not something we should try to "do" but just to allow them to unfold is really helpful. Since I was a small child, I cared deeply about things being "fair" and seeing how everyone's "input and output" could be most effectively balanced... now I'm curious to see how this continues to play out in my coaching practice and the community that I'm developing there. I love this quote! I have a question for clarification: doesn't this description define the *gifts* of each gate within the Incarnation Cross? One thing I've noticed in my own experiment with Human Design is that my Incarnation Cross moves through me no matter what -- even if I'm "stuck" at a lower energetic frequency. The difference is that when I get in my own way and ~forget~ to allow my innate gifts (thanks a lot, Sun in 33) to flow through me, then what moves through me is the shadow aspect of the Gates of my Incarnation Cross. Is this accurate?
Love this question! I'm not 100% sure that would be true for everybody - or at every moment of the human journey. There have been times in my life where my cross definitely wasn't moving through me because I was holding it at bay by conforming my actions in corporate (34/20 | 55/59 - Sleeping Phoenix). But even during that time, I could see the shadows of Gate 59 moving through me by not allowing a courtship period before diving into a depth of intimacy (professionally or personally). Yet with Gate 55, 20, and 34, I was avoiding my creativity and melancholy and definitely not allowing my actions to emerge in the present. And I was trying to be something I wasn't (e.g. someone with a defined Solar Plexus when mine is open. Someone with Gate 18 and 48 when I have 58 and 16. Someone with a defined Ego when mine is open. Someone with gate 45/31 when I don't have either and I'm meant to lead through 34/20, etc. So I think it's very unique to each person's experience. For you, I hear this is your experience which is awesome! And important. And interesting. Semantically, how I might say it is, when you're living your design primarily, your Incarnation Cross moves through you creating ease in your life as your Purpose moves through you. When you're not living your design, your Purpose doesn't move through you with ease. This can look like the shadow expressions of your IC gates or any other aspect of the Not-Self learned patterns that prevent you from living your design. Hope that helps and resonates! Yes, this definitely resonates! As a matter of fact, after I wrote the initial question, I started thinking about how I didn't correlate the shadow aspects of my IC to all of the openness in my chart, which is significant to the information I gave/question I asked. In my chart, everything from the Throat down (including the Throat) is undefined, with the Emotional Center being completely open. With regard to my IC, 24 is the only Gate that is part of a full Channel, and even though that shadow can be prominent for me, I also have the other side of the respective Channels for 33, 19, and 44 to contend with as far as shadows/the Not-Self are concerned. Those Gates (13, 49, and 26, respectively), in turn, bring up the Not-Self issues of seeking love/direction, being reactive/impulsive "in the now", and trying to prove my self-worth. In thinking back to my initial question, what I glossed over before was that those three Not-Self strategies in particular become the lens through which the shadows of my IC present themselves most prominently. They act as the stage upon which the shadows of 33 (forgetting), 19 (codependency), 24 (addiction/rumination), and 44 (interference) ultimately present themselves; particularly via the completely open Emotional Center. I've really struggled with that Center my whole life, without ever realizing it. What makes that particular Center even more difficult to deal with is that of its 7 Gates, I have 5 opposing Gates pointing at it, exacerbating the Not-Self strategy. (Which I know can appear as avoiding confrontation, but unfortunately for me, has typically presented as being reactive and impulsive.) It has taken a metric TON of shadow work/deconditioning to reconcile with all the undefined areas of my chart, and, admittedly, will probably continue to require as much. However, I'm incredibly grateful for having found Human Design; it has truly changed my life forever. And now, I'm really happy to have found your channel and information to continue on the HD journey! Thank you for your content and response -- it means more than you know! Edit: It's also tricky to deal with the Not-Self strategies of the undefined Centers in which the IC Gates are located, not just their opposing counterparts. Not only am I seeking love/direction, I'm doing so by trying to attract attention. Not only am I reactive & impulsive, that happens because of the NEED to be free of the pressure. Not only am I trying to prove my self-worth, I'm doing that by holding onto actions/habits/sometimes people that aren't good for me.

At a high level, your purpose moves through you when you're honoring your moods, allowing a courtship period before diving into any connection or relationship, and allowing your action and words to emerge in the Now, moment by moment by following your Sacral Response. From Lynda Bunnel's Book "The Science of Differentiation": "People who are here to be offered (or to exercise) power. In current times, this translates to the boardrooms of the corporate world as CEOs. " Personally, I don't think that means you're necessarily meant to be in the corporate world but that certainly is one path that may move through you as you live your design more and more. But it's really about, when you're living your design and following your Strategy and Authority consistently, you will likely find yourself recognized and invited for your Leadership Abilities and people may naturally look to you to make decisions for the direction of a project, team, or community. Someone with this cross often will thrive when they don't have to get their hands dirty with the day to day work (and may not want to)... they thrive when having a team to support them. And you're also likely to find that you have some natural abilities to manage people. Remember, as in the video, this isn't something you go "do". Wouldn’t the incarnation cross be tied to the energy of the human vessel and not the vessel itself? Making the incarnation cross appear again in the future when that energy appears in another vessel long in the future?
Not necessarily. Since the incarnation cross is connected to the positions of the Sun and Earth (the solar/cosmic fire of purpose moving through your vessel into the Earth) at the time of birth and 88 days before of your current human form, it is the purpose that is meant to move through this human form at this time in the Soul's journey, which could be connected to Karma, if that's something you believe in. It could very well happen that, in other incarnations, you choose moments to be born that would allow you to have the same incarnation cross. I would imagine it depends on how Karma has been resolved, added, shifted, etc. or the type of role that you desire to play in that lifetime, if you believe that you choose the body and role when still in the higher frequency/dimensional planes and not yet tied to a body. That's a belief I hold... but loosely... mostly because it's what currently has me feel the most empowered. Hope that made sense! I do believe there could be a common purpose that is shared across incarnations. Just, in the HD theory, I don't think there's anything that points to each incarnation of the same aspect of consciousness necessarily having the same IC. Although that could very well be what happens! Part of the mystery

These 4 gates, led by Gate 61 (Your Personality Sun), tell the story of your Cross. 61 is the Gate of Mystery, 62 the Gate of Details, 32 The Gate of Continuity. Gate 42 Gate of Growth. So this cross is about using inspiring thinking to serve others instead of trying to know the unknowable. Looking for truth in details. Creating continuity and growth through aligned action over time and finishing what is started. Thanks for the comment. I can imagine that having Gate 39 in the Personality Sun brings on some unique challenges! There's a lot of nuance to that Gate. You can provoke pleasure just as much as challenge for others. And if you provoke others in a way that they react negatively to you, that is a sign that you and they are not resonant with each other. Gate 39 provokes the Spirit of others and the emotions. And yes, when you provoke challenge in others, you are helping them look at something they were probably unwilling to look at. Something they need to heal. And that will then have them project onto you as a problem. So, the most important thing with Gate 39 is to not take any provocation personally. And also, to notice when you're in a low emotional state and your body is asking to stay at home, to listen to that. This doesn't mean you can never be out with others when feeling emotionally down, it just means to honor the times when your body is asking for alone time and to avoid the impulse to go out. When you're in an emotionally high place, it's much easier to provoke pleasure in others. But BOTH are your purpose moving through you. The most important thing is to practice not taking it personally. And it is a practice! Definitely easier said than done. But the more you master that, the more you'll find yourself in situations where your Purpose can move through you with more and more ease, provoking the perfect Spirit and emotions in the environment, following your drive to fight for independence of you and others (38) while trusting your deepest instincts (57) and shocking yourself and others out of comfort zones. Having the piece about *living into* my IC is so brilliant to know (right angle cross of tension 48/21 39/38). I'm an 4/6 Emotional authority Manifestor, split definition, currently deconditioning from being bludgeoned into trying to be a Generator most of my life and learning more about what Informing looks and behaves like as I go forward.
I have been very intrigued to sit with this HD information in light of the weight of having been extremely abused in childhood, which triggered some hardcore trauma conditions for decades and I think were instrumental in slowing down my graduation into the 3rd phase of my 6 after my 50th (I'm now 58), as well as how being profoundly gifted has potentially impacted my design- my intensities and propensity for constant Positive Disintegration (Dabrowski style) is something I'm holding in the space as I consider the impact of my Mani nature. SO much gold in my learning- I've been doing very little but diving into this since it clicked for me just over a week ago and this video helped me greatly in getting my head around the significance of the IC. Knowing that I'll observe its presence as I'm *living* my S&A is incredibly helpful- I'm still getting my head around HOW to do that because Mani's are so different from the other types. @@orionohev Oh it’s absolutely an ongoing deconditioning that I’m still diving into- I feel like I’m currently in a multifaceted cloud of glittering elements whirling around me as I slowly pull everything together, not just from within HD but within a myriad of other structures and knowings that I have. I am sitting with the realisation that my Strategy of Informing works best for me when I have individuals around me that *genuinely* care for me, so that I have a motivation and emotionally resonant environment that supports me in the challenge of Informing (because in my life I’ve been very allergic to that in the past due to the resistance); learning that *I* can be the actual source of the resistance to my own Higher way of Being by allowing *unsupportive or dysregulated individuals into my life* who I then go into resistance with (because they’re not trustworthy with the truth of my inner Self) has been a real wake up call.
I have learned that I need to be trustworthy *towards myself* by truly dropping into my inner knowing around what I’m *really* here to express and to stay anchored in that rather than going into resistance with it (due to childhood trauma conditioning and ideas of keeping myself ‘safe’ which actually massively interferes with the unfolding of my design)- the links between childhood trauma and the way I’ll collapse *into* the conditioning by allowing things that my design is not aligned with have been compelling to recognise. I’m deeply committed to the truth of me, ultimately, so even as I’m discovering the new places I have to align with in order to do that (and recognising that even though I’m *willing* it’s still going to be challenging)- I keep diving more deeply into my design because I know that there’s more in there that can help me understand the struggles I’ve had. Informing is so much easier and pleasurable when I actually can rest into the *truth* of the connection between myself and others, which I have only recently started to be honest with myself about.

My incarnation cross is the right angle cross of tension 2 ((39/38 | 21/48)). I am here to provoke tension and triggering people´s not-self....it´s really not the easiest cross to have especially with a manifestor aura which can be very provoking by itself. Sometimes I ended up beeing yelled at aggressively by people, especially men....
Just a slight clarification, you're here to trigger people's Spirit, wherever they are on the journey. If you're in a low emotional wave, you're more likely to trigger their not-self. If you're in a neutral or high wave, you're more likely to trigger their natural Design. How you provoke people gives you information if their Spirit is aligned with yours. And the invitation and practice of this gate is to not take it personally if their provoked in a "negative" way but to use it as information. This takes practice of course.
And yes as a Manifestor, I could imagine this being more challenging. And I'm sorry you find yourself being yelled at aggressively :( That's not fun. Those environments/communities/relationships, if that happens frequently likely aren't the correct ones for you.
That is information that those people aren't correct for you. And also remember to honor your moods. This doesn't mean you can never go out and be social when in a low wave but it does mean to honor when your energy is asking you to stay home if in a low wave. Hope this was helpful!

This cross is all about being fully in your own creative flow, without thought of a goal. Fully immersed. And when you do so, you will attract attention and recognition by society to you. Yet at the same time, people with this cross often have very strong principles that cause them to reject others or be rejected if the principles don't align, and in that way protecting others in the tribe and protecting differences and uniqueness, especially yours. In another comment, you mentioned you're a projector so as you wait for invitations and utilize your authority to know which are correct for you, you'll begin to find yourself in more and more situations with people that align to your principles. Not everyone who recognizes your creativity and invites you into opportunities or connection will be correct. But when they are correct, you have a real potential for innovative guidance as well. But your Authority will always let you know. Curious to hear your experience of waiting for invitations and following Authority? And also your experience of living this cross.

I'm the Left Angle Cross of Endeavour 48/21 | 53/54. I used to tell my friends that I'm like a starving artist with no discernible artistic ability...but alas I aspire lol. Now, years later, it still rings true. The trick is to somehow try and keep it moving when you start to sink too deep into rejection.
Curious, are your Root, Spleen, and Ego Centers defined or open. What is your Authority?
With a Left Angle cross, your purpose will most easily move through you when you orient your life towards others, observing them and interacting with them to fulfill your purpose. The people you choose to spend time with need to mean something for your role in the bigger picture. And your Strategy and Authority will naturally guide you to those people. What is your Authority and Type?
With this Cross, it's important to be the one who is in control in situations, directing your drive, depth of wisdom, and skills to move up the social ladder and get projects started. It's about embracing your inner "I'll do it myself" with consistency.
With all that said, I know the challenge of navigating experiences of rejection. It sounds like you're doing a great job of bringing more awareness to that experience and moving forward anyway. Which is awesome! What's your Profile? What does your mind make a "no" mean about you or your art?

Your explanation about purpose moving through you, through your design, makes so much more sense. Mine is the RAX Unexpected 3 - still exploring how this shows up and working to avoid struggling with how many times it's depicted as "struggle" energy. Oof.
I'm so glad this hit for you! Since RAX Unexpected 3 has Gate 28 in the Personality Sun position, there is an energy of "struggle" since Gate 28 is one half of the Channel or Struggle. But it doesn't have to be "hard". I have the Channel of Struggle defined in my chart and have learned how to work with the energy in a powerful way. Gate 28 is the instincts to know what fights to fight and the energy of fighting for independence, yours and others. It's about finding meaning in the "struggle" of the hero's journey. But when you're following your Strategy and Authority and instincts, you'll always be in the "correct" struggles, able to become a truly influential leader by being an example of someone who finds meaning in the struggle and grows through it. The shadow of the 28 is not listening to the Strategy and Authority and ending up in struggles that aren't correct for you. And with this cross, you may end up caring or taking responsibility for people that aren't correct for you, which uses a lot of your energy and won't have the desired outcome. Hope that supports! And, as you mentioned in your comment, the real freedom comes when you're trusting your body's wisdom to guide you more and more and watching yourself step into leadership through the correct struggles that happen through you. And you get to watch it happen.

Being made up of Gates 50, 3, 31, and 41, the Gate of Wishes is about standing up for the values of communities you're a part of and fighting against values that aren't supportive. This is largely to ensure tribes that are supportive for the full expression of the next generation, as you weather the frustration of the pace in which society is ready for the mutative change you can bring forth in the correct moments. You have the capacity to carry communities to a new future in a leadership position, as long as you're elected or invited, letting your impulse to do something new and feel new feelings drive you to create something new - as long as you do that by following your Strategy and Authority.

The cool thing about the IC is you don't have to apply it! You just have to watch for it and see where it's happening as you live your design more and more and more. It's meant to be confusing for the mind, which is what I love about it. Because it's carrying the wisdom that your can't DO your purpose. You can just practice getting out of the way so it can happen.

@@orionohev I come from life long interest in the sciences to this so I'm quite comfortable with the subject matter. My hesitancy comes from knowing something about them and how little they actually interact with matter. How difficult they are to detect in the ice cube experiment for example. Doesn't seem a very efficient method of communitmcation. That and the I Ching essentially replacing the lunar mansion system it would appear from an astrological perspective. Though I know next to nothing about the I ching

Hi! I have the Right Angle Cross of Planning (40/37 | 16/9)... That 40/37 Channel of Community shows up a TON in my bodygraph (hello, Virgo stellium) lol. Honestly, when I first saw that, I thought it was profoundly boring (especially compared to ICs called things like Vessel of Love and Sleeping Phoenix). But now I feel more like embracing all of the aspects of myself (including those that are more mundane and those that are more profound). I think the perspective of incarnation crosses as not something we should try to "do" but just to allow them to unfold is really helpful. Since I was a small child, I cared deeply about things being "fair" and seeing how everyone's "input and output" could be most effectively balanced... now I'm curious to see how this continues to play out in my coaching practice and the community that I'm developing there. I have a question for clarification: doesn't this description define the *gifts* of each gate within the Incarnation Cross? One thing I've noticed in my own experiment with Human Design is that my Incarnation Cross moves through me no matter what -- even if I'm "stuck" at a lower energetic frequency. The difference is that when I get in my own way and ~forget~ to allow my innate gifts (thanks a lot, Sun in 33) to flow through me, then what moves through me is the shadow aspect of the Gates of my Incarnation Cross. Is this accurate?

Love this question! I'm not 100% sure that would be true for everybody - or at every moment of the human journey. There have been times in my life where my cross definitely wasn't moving through me because I was holding it at bay by conforming my actions in corporate (34/20 | 55/59 - Sleeping Phoenix). But even during that time, I could see the shadows of Gate 59 moving through me by not allowing a courtship period before diving into a depth of intimacy (professionally or personally). Yet with Gate 55, 20, and 34, I was avoiding my creativity and melancholy and definitely not allowing my actions to emerge in the present. And I was trying to be something I wasn't (e.g. someone with a defined Solar Plexus when mine is open. Someone with Gate 18 and 48 when I have 58 and 16. Someone with a defined Ego when mine is open. Someone with gate 45/31 when I don't have either and I'm meant to lead through 34/20, etc.
So I think it's very unique to each person's experience. For you, I hear this is your experience which is awesome! And important. And interesting. Semantically, how I might say it is, when you're living your design primarily, your Incarnation Cross moves through you creating ease in your life as your Purpose moves through you. When you're not living your design, your Purpose doesn't move through you with ease. This can look like the shadow expressions of your IC gates or any other aspect of the Not-Self learned patterns that prevent you from living your design. Hope that helps and resonates! Curious to hear how the shadows of those gates show up for you?
Yes, this definitely resonates! As a matter of fact, after I wrote the initial question, I started thinking about how I didn't correlate the shadow aspects of my IC to all of the openness in my chart, which is significant to the information I gave/question I asked.
In my chart, everything from the Throat down (including the Throat) is undefined, with the Emotional Center being completely open. With regard to my IC, 24 is the only Gate that is part of a full Channel, and even though that shadow can be prominent for me, I also have the other side of the respective Channels for 33, 19, and 44 to contend with as far as shadows/the Not-Self are concerned. Those Gates (13, 49, and 26, respectively), in turn, bring up the Not-Self issues of seeking love/direction, being reactive/impulsive "in the now", and trying to prove my self-worth.
In thinking back to my initial question, what I glossed over before was that those three Not-Self strategies in particular become the lens through which the shadows of my IC present themselves most prominently. They act as the stage upon which the shadows of 33 (forgetting), 19 (codependency), 24 (addiction/rumination), and 44 (interference) ultimately present themselves; particularly via the completely open Emotional Center. I've really struggled with that Center my whole life, without ever realizing it. What makes that particular Center even more difficult to deal with is that of its 7 Gates, I have 5 opposing Gates pointing at it, exacerbating the Not-Self strategy. (Which I know can appear as avoiding confrontation, but unfortunately for me, has typically presented as being reactive and impulsive.)
It has taken a metric TON of shadow work/deconditioning to reconcile with all the undefined areas of my chart, and, admittedly, will probably continue to require as much. However, I'm incredibly grateful for having found Human Design; it has truly changed my life forever. And now, I'm really happy to have found your channel and information to continue on the HD journey! Thank you for your content and response -- it means more than you know!
Edit: It's also tricky to deal with the Not-Self strategies of the undefined Centers in which the IC Gates are located, not just their opposing counterparts. Not only am I seeking love/direction, I'm doing so by trying to attract attention. Not only am I reactive & impulsive, that happens because of the NEED to be free of the pressure. Not only am I trying to prove my self-worth, I'm doing that by holding onto actions/habits/sometimes people that aren't good for me.

At a high level, your purpose moves through you when you're honoring your moods, allowing a courtship period before diving into any connection or relationship, and allowing your action and words to emerge in the Now, moment by moment by following your Sacral Response. Personally, I don't think that means you're necessarily meant to be in the corporate world but that certainly is one path that may move through you as you live your design more and more.
But it's really about, when you're living your design and following your Strategy and Authority consistently, you will likely find yourself recognized and invited for your Leadership Abilities and people may naturally look to you to make decisions for the direction of a project, team, or community.
Someone with this cross often will thrive when they don't have to get their hands dirty with the day to day work (and may not want to)... they thrive when having a team to support them. And you're also likely to find that you have some natural abilities to manage people.
Remember, as in the video, this isn't something you go "do". Focus on following your strategy and authority and watch for this Cross to begin to happen through you. Watch opportunities for it to happen arise around you. Let me know if you see it showing up in your life already! Would love to hear!
Wouldn’t the incarnation cross be tied to the energy of the human vessel and not the vessel itself? Making the incarnation cross appear again in the future when that energy appears in another vessel long in the future?
Not necessarily. Since the incarnation cross is connected to the positions of the Sun and Earth (the solar/cosmic fire of purpose moving through your vessel into the Earth) at the time of birth and 88 days before of your current human form, it is the purpose that is meant to move through this human form at this time in the Soul's journey, which could be connected to Karma, if that's something you believe in.
It could very well happen that, in other incarnations, you choose moments to be born that would allow you to have the same incarnation cross. I would imagine it depends on how Karma has been resolved, added, shifted, etc. or the type of role that you desire to play in that lifetime, if you believe that you choose the body and role when still in the higher frequency/dimensional planes and not yet tied to a body. That's a belief I hold... but loosely... mostly because it's what currently has me feel the most empowered.
Hope that made sense! I do believe there could be a common purpose that is shared across incarnations. Just, in the HD theory, I don't think there's anything that points to each incarnation of the same aspect of consciousness necessarily having the same IC. Although that could very well be what happens! Part of the mystery

So this cross is about using inspiring thinking to serve others instead of trying to know the unknowable. Looking for truth in details. Creating continuity and growth through aligned action over time and finishing what is started.

Thanks for the comment. I can imagine that having Gate 39 in the Personality Sun brings on some unique challenges! There's a lot of nuance to that Gate. You can provoke pleasure just as much as challenge for others. And if you provoke others in a way that they react negatively to you, that is a sign that you and they are not resonant with each other. Gate 39 provokes the Spirit of others and the emotions. And yes, when you provoke challenge in others, you are helping them look at something they were probably unwilling to look at. Something they need to heal. And that will then have them project onto you as a problem. So, the most important thing with Gate 39 is to not take any provocation personally. And also, to notice when you're in a low emotional state and your body is asking to stay at home, to listen to that. This doesn't mean you can never be out with others when feeling emotionally down, it just means to honor the times when your body is asking for alone time and to avoid the impulse to go out. When you're in an emotionally high place, it's much easier to provoke pleasure in others. But BOTH are your purpose moving through you. The most important thing is to practice not taking it personally. And it is a practice! Definitely easier said than done. But the more you master that, the more you'll find yourself in situations where your Purpose can move through you with more and more ease, provoking the perfect Spirit and emotions in the environment, following your drive to fight for independence of you and others (38) while trusting your deepest instincts (57) and shocking yourself and others out of comfort zones.
