It's not a "fake". I emailed a pic to Neca, they confirmed it's authenticity. They told me it was from a new production run.

Dood thar are such things as fakes I got scammed once by buying one of these jason livs figyers and it fellapart in my hands

Seems to be a lot of people mentioning that the second figure is part of a new production run, so I'd like to bring up some big points about an actual fake I just received.
- Fake uses a black twist tie instead of Neca's silver wire.
- Box lacks a hang tab
- Mask barely fits onto the figure; the even with the tightest I could get it on the top strap hangs almost a full centimeter above the head.
- Fence post/spear doesn't fit together; hole is way too small for the peg.
- Machete is extremely problematic. The tool belt has massive gaps in the back of the knife and machete holders; not so much an issue for the knife, but the machete sheath's gap has enough space to fit a fingertip. The hand to hold the machete is molded shut, so it's impossible to spread the fingers away from the thumb to fit the machete in. If you want to display Jason with the machete, you're going to have to flex the handle in order to fit it in, and you're probably never getting it out again. Not like you'd really want to, given that there's no other place to put the machete thanks to the joke of a sheath.
Overall, the fake isn't necessarily bad. The figure itself is sturdy, looks the part, and poses well, but the accessories kinda drop the ball. If you're just looking for a Part 6 Jason to look pretty in a box, then the fake is probably an even better option than the more expensive original. But if it's important to you to have the best accessories possible, steer clear of it.
EDIT: 50 minutes later, the machete sheath broke off of the tool belt altogether. Which is very helpful considering that it makes gluing it shut much easier.
By “twist tie” do you mean when you unbox him he has the plastic rope type stuff around him you have to cut off?
I believe this “fake” Jason part 6 is authentic. I have the exact figure and emailed a picture of it to NECA and they confirmed it’s authenticity. They said it’s from a newer production run which is why they can differ. Just an FYI
i agree. i have this figure too, purchased from a reputable dealer, and the head paint is the same as the "fake" one in the video.

I can't believe the amount of detail the fake has. In other brands (play arts, figma) you can easily detect a fake (different letters in the box, missing logos, etc) but in NECA it's almost impossible, like if they were factory rejects and they just sold it anyway.

As for all these "fakes", it's possible that they are authentic. The box printing and the figure detail are never gonna be exactly the same. That goes for music CD's too....I have doubles of some and the color of the printing is slightly different. It all depends on what year they were pressed.
The "fake" is literally just the re-issue of the figure with an updated paintjob

You should catch theese up. Most of the "fakes" are re-issues, legit and, via neca.

I have experience with fake neca figures like this, and i noticed that the legs of fake one are much easier to move than by original.
Sometimes way to easy but if you put a little super glue in the joints an keep moving them while it dries. It is way better movement

TBH I wouldn’t mind owning a fake version. In the UK, it’s very hard to get these neca figures from reputable dealers. So instead of paying £35 for a figure that may be fake, I’d rather pay £10 for a fake.

I got one today from Amazon and like 90 percent of the reviews were 5 star but I don’t know by the street code what ever that is like apparently fakes only are made from the original release so for this one it’s 2015 but mine at the end of the product number it has 22 so maybe for 2922 please tell me
Yes, so that was a re-release. From everything that I've seen they don't really make fakes of the rereleased versions so you should be good on that being a real one.

I have noticed another difference... the upper arm on the fake looks different if you look at the clothes wrinkles. It looks like the upper arms used are from a part 3 Jason.
That fake tombstone does look better than the real I will admit and also the fake's pants aren't lighter shades than the real in which you can tell the "diaper" portion of the pants is a lighter shade, but all and all you can't go wrong with either.
a trick : you can watch movies at Kaldrostream. Been using them for watching loads of movies these days.

I just bought one of these from a toy store & it has a black hang tab, not that clear one like either one in this video. The tab is cardboard, not plastic & has circle stickers keeping it sealed. Did I get a fake?
No that sounds like a re-release. You can tell by the street date on the bottom of the box. They only make fakes of the original release.

I purchased the lady of the lake (Pamela voorhees) figure on the base of the shoes it says ENCA instead of neca I raised this with neca and they said it was a mould spelling mistake, they said absolute legit figure I purchased it from an authorised retailer.
Yes I did the unboxing to that and had the same thing. From what I've seen they haven't made a fake version of the Pamela Voorhees Lady of the Lake figure.

is not a fake. The principal reason is because you like a firm can't produce a copy of product with the brand's name. everything is the same with different color of grade. Both are great. NECA IS FANTASTIC.
Hey! Just bought one from target. The biggest differences I noticed are the tape on the box is circular tape, the peg to hold it on the shelf is cardboard and just punched out from the box rather than being plastic and glued to the box. Jason himself is a mixed bag, like a mush mash of real/fake. His face is semi glossy, and pretty green, the pouch has weathering and my knee joints are completely unpainted from about halfway down. I got it sealed directly from target. Any chance it could be faked, or is it just neca has some faulty qc in areas?
Oh! Also his wrists are unpainted, they're the same shade as his shirt.

Well true and not true. I did this video years ago when I was still learning. I have updated videos saying what to look for. The Real one is the reissue and the fake one is a fake. I didnt know at the time about the street date as much. They only make fakes of the original Neca figures and never the Reissues.
Idk if it's just me but the fake part 6 Jason's face looks a bit more detailed than the real one.
The shine does bring a different look to the face I think that's what it is. Cause if you think about it the face would be a little slimy cause he was buried right? Lol

i have both versions also. The "dark" one you say is fake...mine has none of what you show...it has the inch tape, the wire doesn't show, there's no paint. The bright one you say is real, mine also has no wire showing, no point but the tape is round. Both have different plastic trays though. The dark version has a plastic hang tag, the lighter one I bought at Target has a paper/cardboard hang tag. Seems all over the place with differences.

Yes they reissued it 2 times but the ones that come from aliexpress and are bootleg all have the original date on the bottom. This 100% a knockoff and I go into more detail in my newer videos.

100% a fake and it is not the rerelease. Both of these are the 2015 release. At the time of recording I didnt know the date on the bottom made a difference. But in this video they are both 2015 releases and they only make fakes of the 2015 version.

@@TheCollectionDimension Dude, Neca has re-release this figure 3 times, adding new details and Paint aplications, you need to do a comparison with the 3rd rerelease of this figure, not with the first release, cause the people is getting confused and it would be very helpful :/

así es, como comentas esta figura ha sido relanzada varias veces, incluso con ropa de tela "retro" y él está comparando la primera edición (ultimate) la que tiene a la derecha, con la última que han relanzado, lo cuál ninguna de las 2 son falsas, la que él llama "fake" (la de la izquierda) es la que venden actualmente en Amazon o tiendas, yo tengo ambas 2 y está mejor en pintura, articulaciones, aspecto y en todo la de la izquierda, con esto puede confundir a la gente, como digo ambas son originales en este caso, es cierto que la mayoría de vídeos de este canal si enseña falsas con originales pero en este caso ambas lo son...
P.D: Puede que la de la izquierda sea una copia pero basada en como digo el relanzamiento más reciente, entonces no se puede comparar como tal a la otra versión de la derecha...)

@ Que tal amigo, pues sí, esa figura la han relanzado 3 veces, de los 3 lanzamientos, el que yo adquirí fue el segundo que salió que salió a fines del 2018, con mejor detalle en la pintura, unos dientes más podridos y no tan frescos como el del primer lanzamiento, y el detalle en los zapatos, bastante mejor que el del original, en cuanto al tercer lanzamiento lo noto más flojo, no me sorprende de que lo haya confundido con un bootleg, la aplicación de pintura la noto más débil, también a diferencia del resto le añaden como un toque de suciedad, esta redición sólo la he visto por imágenes y videos, El ultimate de la tercera película, también tiene una historia similar, ya que fue relanzado 3 veces, aunque de este, el tercer lanzamiento sí lo vi en persona en un centro comercial, y puedo decir de que es un relanzamiento bastante flojo, el nivel de detalle no le hace frente a las primeras versiones, la sangre luce como si estuviese seca en el cuerpo, aunque algo bueno es que cambiaron el material del tridente, a un material más moldeable, algo así como las garras de Freddy, pero más firmes, en conclusión, pienso de que neca está relanzando sin muchas ganas estas figuras, yo por mi parte seguiré buscando el segundo relanzamiento del Voorhees de la sexta película, ya que el mío lo vendí al año siguiente por falta de dinero :(
@@elcazadordelaspesadillas27 Hola! Pues ahora que lo dices no sé cuál tendré porque si dices que hay 3 ultimate yo conozco 2 ultimate y 1 retro con ropa de tela, tienes fotos del que tuviste? Igual tengo el segundo y tercero o el primero y tercero... Yo comparando ambos veo mejor el último lanzamiento, tengo fotos de ambos con la misma cámara y demás y me gusta más, esa aplicación de sangre en el cráneo en la zona del hachazo de la tercera parte... Respecto a la tercera y también cuarta parte también hay reediciones si, de ambos tengo 2 y si es cierto que la sangre es menos realista pero en otras cosas mejora, la camiseta está pintada de blanco y no de verde (eso sí fue una chapuza) las articulaciones más duras, la máscara mejor hecha, con las marcas rojas más había abajo y no tan arriba que casi daba a los ojos (si tienes Facebook o alguna Red social te paso fotos y me dices cual de las 3 versiones tengo)

Idk man, i looked everywhere and i finally broke down and bought the neca part 6 on amazon for a $9 mark up.. smh i hope it's real. The fake has some crappy stains on the pants.
