This family is leaving out the fact they didn't pay her a wage at all! they had exchanged childcare for a room & board. thats it. then the nanny who looks to be like a retiree/elderly woman injured herself in their home while working for them. then the family fired her and wanted to kick her out to the streets. I have a huge problem with how this story is being told. imo This family wanted cheap childcare without paying someone properly. that family's system is not a viable option for anyone. this poor woman wasnt even being paid ffs. how did they expect her to move if she had no money bc they refuse to pay. anyone else who gets injured on the job would have been paid some kind of workers comp. this screams wrongful termination to me and is a case of a lazy, cheap, young family looking to take advantage of an elderly woman for free childcare. This nanny shouldnt be treated like this and its shameful the news station is going along with their narritive by making it seem like shes this nightmare nanny when the family created this mess. good job you guys strong armed an old lady and forced her into living in her car after using her up.

@@jessicanice1335 You just said she wasn't paid "a wage at all" then literally the next words are "they had exchanged childcare for room and board." So she WAS paid. She was PAID with room and board. Being "paid" doesn't have to be dollar bills. The family may have wanted cheap childcare. What's wrong with that? lol. Should she have wanted overly expensive childcare instead? You sound ridiculous.

The nanny also knows the law works in her favor, she’s done this to several parents, gets free food, the use of the house, tries to do this as long as possible. This is her job. I would say put one of those sheds in your backyard and have it listed as a rental with the county and then hire The Nanny and have that be the nannies living quarters. If the shed has a private entrance then if there happens to be a problem you just treat it as any other eviction and it won't affect your family either that or have an exterior door on the bedroom that you're going to offer to The Nanny and have a way of walking your side on the interior of the house that way they won't have access to your home. Anytime they want to come to work have them go out the exterior door and come to your front door! The story is terrible and they're truly should be laws that are stronger in favor of the homeowner. This is why I won't even consider getting a roommate because people are wackadoodle! I can't imagine the amount of grace and patience you'd have to demonstrate to not want to take care of it yourself!

What a freeloading miserable person. She’s got dozens of lawsuits across Southern California and then got free room and board from a family...that is insane. I knew someone like this. Suing as a job, thinking other people OWE you something.
The woman I knew intentionally fell out of a chair at a nail salon and sued them for their “faulty” chairs. She riled a neighbor’s dog up and then put her hand out trying to get bitten (the neighbors saw this but didn’t have it on videotape), she got nipped and sued. She was allergic to cayenne pepper (mildly) and tried to sue a restaurant for putting it in a dish (that anyone with half a brain would know was spicy) but they testified that she never told them and there was no record of her saying she was allergic. And finally she got caught red handed in a Wendy’s. They had mopped and a wet floor sign was out right outside the bathrooms. She moved the sign into the bathroom and “slipped” and tried to sue, but Wendy’s promptly submitted CCTV footage of her moving the damn sign and that pretty much ended her hopeless career as a professional suer lol. People like that DISGUST me. Such tremendously terrible karma.

It states she is starting a business and needs help sporadically with the three little ones for just a few hours at a time. In return for room and board, she was to help watch 3 kids under 4, so mom can leave and begin a business and three small children not yet in school is a handful already. The law may be on the criminal lady's side because they failed to get a work contract in writing but that doesn't give her a legit excuse to trespass in their property with children inside. I would have gotten a restraining order to keep that career scammer away from my children. Not all stay at home mom's are lazy, and this one was at least attempting to expand herself and become more than just a mom.

Easy fix. In the contract when hiring someone, put in a clause they agree to wave all rights to any law protecting them from eviction. Also, add in they agree once told to leave either verbally or in writing they must do so that same day. If for any reason they refuse, they agree to pay all legal, court, mortgage, electric, vehicle, food etc.. for the next 20 years. A signed legal contract supersedes the laws when agreed upon.

I don't advocate for squatters because I've been there done that and know what an expense and headache it can be having to evict them to get rid of them..Most have a history of doing this sort of thing and a sense of entitlement out of this world. Kay Jay This is the law! If you ask someone to live with you the law considers it like a tenant. This is the nanny’s full time job. She moves in, lives free, she only had to work a few hrs a day, not the whole day. She’s a user, a crook lives for free, eats for free. A lot of people do this, they claim to be a nanny, move in, free everything and decide to stay. They’re usually looking for money that the parents pay to get her to move out.

I have a Nanny to help me with my kids. We are all very close. Like we've brought in another grandmother to share our love and lives with. However, I will NEVER have her move into my home. Now, should something happen, and she needs to do so, this is what I would do. establish residence, rules for the Nanny, pay for the Nanny, then you have to include rent should she step down as the Nanny, grocery money, toiletry items needed, etc. And you go to a lawyer. Get the lawyer and your case to be heard in court, and take care of paperwork beforehand. Had they said *You are our live in Nanny and with that comes room, food, and board. However, we have this to go over with you should we have issues arise.* Anything you can think of, and then get a lawyer before the move in Nanny joins the family. Most states, you only have *24 hours* and you have established recidency to be there. After that, it's a civil court case, and honestly it depends on how backlogged civil court is. Just do yourself and your family a favor!!! *It's fine if you want or need help with your children. Definitely ask for the help. Otherwise, you're holding in so much frustrating moments and that's not healthy. Get a Nanny who is willing to come to your house daily. I pay my Nanny gas allowance. I know exactly how much gas it takes for her to get to my house, back to her house. I'm too sleepy to be typing...main point, don't move them in. They are harder to get rid than your own family members, sometimes!!! LOL
