  • At Kekese the Killifish were spawning everywhere on the rocks. The goal is to fertilize the eggs while the female is trying to shoot them down in a crack on a rock. The egg swells up a little bit to stay in place and when they hatch, they swim out. The Neolamprologus modestus is having a free lunch, scarfing up the eggs that didn't make it into the crevice.

Really beautiful these images of Kekese, the Lamprichthys tanganicanus and the N. modestus who have figured out how to look for food on the rocks perhaps knowing that the Killi have reproduced shortly before. Happy Sunday Pam
