Let's be real. The news portrays like flocks of tourists are flooding in thinking it's a simple hike when the reality is most - 99% of people that attempt to climb Mont Blanc are experienced Alpinists that know what they're up against and are willing to accept that they may never return from the mountain.
@@IdellleHello idellle, I would like to help but could u be a little bit more specific? have u ever walked on crapons? ,Do u know how to rope up for a glacier? Etc.
We summited this year and the dangers are very real. In early August by 14:00 in the day there was an almost constant flow of rocks down the couloir. We watched from the Tete Rouse 'campsite' as many people had very close shaves, including a rock the size of a washing machine bouncing over the path! Preparation, preparation, preparation is the key. Know yourself and know your limits and then train to mitigate the risks.
Also climb either early (June) or late (September) because during the hot months of July and August a lot of the ice above the Couloir has melted which causes more rocks to fall.
Summited in July 2018 , rock falls were pretty much a feature of the Couloir which was in reality a short crossing to the Ridge scramble to The Gouter hut . Probably the most dangerous part was coming down the ridge from the Gouter Hut .

Patrick Clarke It might be smarter to climb in the morning, for the falling rocks?
This is really dangerous mountain.I m climb this 2016...I m failed.I hope that this year will be succses.

I’d like to climb and was wondering what your advice is and what equipment I would need
Cosmiques arête isn’t on Mont Blanc. It certainly isn’t a route up the mountain. It goes from glacier to the ski lift. No research done properly
That snowboarder kept his head, I would have been way more upset
How did he even stop his fall? Surely he wasn't roped up while snowboarding?
Inexperienced hikers getting killed on a mountain.....typical.
Filmed the wrong side of the arete, nice one :D !
It is estimated that over 8000 people lost their lives on Mont Blanc including my friend in 2011.
The mountain isnt deadly , its the type of people who go up that are dangerous. Mostly English hikers used to skipping about the Peak District.
What do the English know about mountaineering eh
God damnit. Traffic jams on Mount Everest AND Mont Blanc?
Oh I'm gonna have real fun over the next couple years.
Tried to climb this last week, stayed in goûter hut,70kph winds in the morning, came down.
Same happened to me 3 weeks ago... It was the right call but can't help but feel disappointed we got so unlucky with the weather.

The commentator doesn't even know how to pronounce the mountain correctly 😖🤦♀️
Mon blon
Oh well this means at least 5-10 years training for me.
Why are there only two comments from sane people on here
Because the rest are mountaineers.

It's not the highest mountain in Europe. The Elbroes in Russia is. The Mont Blanc is only the highest mountain of the alps
the highest in a western Europe as mentioned at the very

They literally say 'the highest peak in Western Europe'.
Laughs in K2-one in four who make upto summit... Never come back. Only 261 summits till date
