nice playthrough. i played it twice tonight. i got to 40 at 17th round and then the 16th round.

Hi Ruel (TVivD here)! Thanks for showing a solo variant for this game! Knarr was a big hit with the Thinker-Themer fan group at Dice Tower West this year. Love that this is available for play on BoardGameArena - they need to add this solo option there as well!

Thanks for the nice gameplay video. I really like this game.
I play this on BGA solo, controling two players (hotseat). It's a simple game with simple and quick turns, so it's really easy to play for two players at the same time.
Sort of really interesting experience, trying my best in two different ways at the same time and seeing which strategy and tactics combination wins me 40 points first.

I’ve only played this on BGA but do enjoy it. I enjoy the tension of when to add another card vs when to break up a nice Viking engine for one of the top cards.
This is an interesting solo mode. I like how it isn’t just a beat your score variant and keeps the “race” nature of the game. I wonder if it might add something to it if, instead of counting rounds up, you set a limit of rounds before the game adjusting for difficulty and count down each round to race against the clock.

You're right -- the race element is still there in the solo game. I still haven't beaten 13 rounds so it looks like I'll have to play a few more times. :) Thanks for watching!
