I would recommend Smith Playground off of 33rd and Oxford that is tucked away behind a gulf course in the park. In 1989 when I first discovered this place. It was a safe haven for me as a single parent. They had a pool back then, but when I last revisited it with my grandchildren. It’s no longer there. That being said, another gem of mines is Valley green, it’s off of Lincoln drive tucked away behind the trees and a lake. There so much more about North Philadelphia. Try taller Puertorriqueno, for history on Latin culture of North PHILLY. My daughter are of mixed race and this was a plus for me to help groom them into being comfortable in the skin there in as Black/Latina women. There so much more, Fairmount Park, the food trucks, etc. it’s a hidden gem. Best wishes on your exploration of all areas of Pennsylvania. Don’t forget the history of the first Negro league of Baseball players in Pittsburgh Hill district.

I found and bought the set and somebody stole my car so I bought another set that I'm still bumpin' right now. 😁😁 My favorite phrase from her music is "If you want to make a change in this world and your life, start by looking in the mirror."
