I know both Steve and Jeff (ex-owners of Eternal Oblivion). Steve quit ages ago (2006 actually), he gave the account over to Jeff. They had shared that account earlier as well, and they were even room mates at one point during university. They account shared for years. But Steve eventually finished his actuarial science studies, moved to Hong Kong (where he had his roots) and quit the game cold turkey. He moved on to games like MapleStory and still plays that today, whenever he can. Jeff on the other hand kept playing on EO until 2008. He then also got bored of the game and gave back the account to Steve. I asked Steve if he still has access to it and he said no. The last person to ever have logged in to that account was Steve's real-life brother; Buzzfreak. And there is a long story of drama between Steve and Buzzfreak (whose name is Ed). Even though they are brothers, they do not talk much to each other. Nor do they even live in same countries any longer, so their contact is almost minimal. Steve says he doubt Buzzfreak still has the account somewhere. He thinks he threw it away or something. So that account is gone. Don't ever expect Eternal Oblivion to log back in, that's what Steve told me. Because Steve doesn't have the account, Jeff doesn't have the account, and Buzzfreak will not talk about it and he most likely threw it away because of some old drama (not getting in to that. Private stuff). So... what happened to EO? Well... Steve (creator of the account) is now living in Hong Kong. He works as an actuary and as a math teacher. Jeff lives near San Francisco area and works in the IT industry and is in charge of company's IT-department. Do they plan to play Tibia ever again? No. They have no interest in Tibia what-so-ever. Did they bot? No. Did they share account? Yes. Almost all of the time. How did EO manage to get so high skills in no time? How did he make so much money? Both Steve and Jeff made up a plan to setup a big war on Amera. One of the biggest wars on that server, in fact. They fooled two guilds and made them fight each other. While everyone was busy fighting, they moved Eternal Oblivion down to the deepest Kazordoon mines and hunted dwarf guards all alone. Nobody disturbed EO. He was neutral at that point and was not in any guild. That is where he made his money. Making lootbags at Kazordoon mines, and even paying noobies up to 10k just to drop off the loot at a house they had in Kazordoon. They hunted dwarves for quite some time. And eventually started skilling full-time. Nobody cared about looking for EO, because he was neutral. And the war on Amera went on for months. While everyone else on the server was dying in fights, EO was skilling far away from everyone else. And also, he had cash from the Kazordoon mines. Lots and lots of cash. We're talking a few millions. And back then that was a lot. So when the war finally ended, everyone was broke on the server. People died and lost their equipment. They lost their skills too. But EO was strong. They had skilled for months, they had saved up cash, and eventually made it out into the public. They started to powerlevel it, founding guilds and taking over the server eventually. This is during the Boondock Saints-era (Amera guild). Everything about EO was planned, since the first few days they both started playing Tibia. They are geniuses. Especially Steve. And it is no wonder he works as an actuary today. Actuaries' job is about predicting the future (in business). He is extremely good at calculations and foreseeing things. He knew how to fool an entire server, skill in peace, earn cash, and powerlevel when everyone was broke. He knew it would work. And that is why he and Jeff managed to level up so quick. They really only played for 3 years (2003-2006) but in those 3 years they did a lot of stuff in the game. People could only dream of achieving that even in 10 years time back then. After 2006, it kind of died out though. So to summarize it; They beat the game. They were ahead of anyone that played on Amera back then. And they got bored of it. They are now in their late 20's and moved on almost a decade ago. You should, too. Don't ask about them anymore, they will not return. Just let the character go to rest and live up to its name. Eternal Oblivion.

Demon legs respawned in a chest back then, in the demon helmet quest in older patches... it respawned every day.. (it was a chest that respawned every server save) so it wast that rare back then, so he probably bought it. bout the horned helmet idk
Being an oldschool high level player, I bet he completed the old quests himself. Demon legs used to spawn in the place of the demon helmet quest, horned helmet used to spawn in the place of the bright sword quest

It should have been, or at least, the runes did exist (Energy Walls, Bombs). I do have memories of people trapping Giant Spiders inside the bomb, that was fixed asap so my guess is that what Cipsoft did at the time was preventing monsters from getting trapped (walk trough everything) so those strategies became invalid. Somewhere along the updates they must have patched it to the current system we have today (Don't walk trough specified fields if there's another path to target, walk trough them if aggroed and can't find a path to target)

TibiaCam. Back in the day it was the bomb. Recorded your game window (hence no application borders) in the resolution you've had it in. And the demos were literally lightweight - this 3h movie did weight maybe 20mb. Maybe. Best thing ever to send over replays/share quests.
Of course, hunting Behes, in that time how would you make more xp? Today lvl 200 you can hunt on places that give you such high XP, is not just that tibia got more easier, but there are pleny places to hunt

@João Pedro Agree. It wasn't bad, just different. No one was supose to hunt behemoth like dragons. It was one of the top creatures in the game, and level means just a little if you don't have new spells, equipments, etc.
@Múmu so what you are saying is that there are still, even today, people who just play tibia with no premium at all? it is unbelievably time consuming imo, but in some cases it takes the fun out of it when you pay for it. Isn't premium in it's own way the same as buying tc?
Isto pra evitar guerra.
Velhos tempos.

It was recorded with tibiacam, and after that someone recorded the tibiacam video. Tibia Cam allows you to watch the video on Tibia client. This is why.
Love all the videos tibia is so trash nowadays... levelling is way to easy, there is a double xp week every month it feels like... pvp takes no skill its all lvls, most if not all pvp worlds are ran by a guild who got 80% of their levels pre battle eye and therefore battle eye only prevents anyone from ever catching up, they repeat the same repetitive updates and events the SAME time every year for the last 15 years instead of fixing problems or asking the community for there feedback. i'm not finished but there is so much wrong with tibia we've seen it before with Runescape and even Wow they had nothing but player decline until releasing classic versions of their games like the people actually wanted Jagex of Runescape even implemented a voting system where if 75% dont vote an update yes it doesn't pass their game has never been running so smooth. I don't even play anymore just like to watch videos for the nostalgia unless we got a 7.6 server back i could never enjoy this game again.
Tibia is more casual today, you don't need to spend 5 years or more to get to level 200 or whatever, you can do that now in a few months and then leave... I don't see that as a bad thing, and about the updates, you don't need to play all the time, just get back when there's an update you like... Lol

I started way before the introduction of wands and rods. It was a great time back then. But it was fucking unplayable on the other side. Look at this damn lags. You made a pause after every single damn step.
So, did druids and sorceres hunt with weapons?
@@Fernando-du5uj They did yes, soul points weren't there either. Most of a mage's life was resumed in: Equipping a War Hammer, hunt Larvas and Rotworms while making runes, or Fishing for free food while also, you guessed it, making runes. I had 2 friends playing with me back then, they were druid and sor. They did runes during the week to hunt Cyclops/Dragons during the weekend..At least for an hour or two. Mage's had a rough life back then..
Also potions didn't exist, not like today..They were called Manafluids. They were expensive, like, really. At least compared to the gold income a player would make so hunting with instant spells wasn't viable, by any means.
caralho os caras jogavam full lagado
how did he obtain horned helmet and d legs? Is there any nice story or just simple bought it?
"A magician never reveals his secrets"
would love to know the story also, when i was a kid i remember watching /reading about him everywhere , sucha legend,
they were like celebrities back then. now with the levels 1000+ and all the changes its meeh
@@gustavo45877 I don't think it respawned at every daily server save, rather it did respawn at every every big update that reseted the full map, so every ~6 months ish.
Please refresh my memory, during those days using walls wasnt available to dodge monsters?
It should have been, or at least, the runes did exist (Energy Walls, Bombs). I do have memories of people trapping Giant Spiders inside the bomb, that was fixed asap so my guess is that what Cipsoft did at the time was preventing monsters from getting trapped (walk trough everything) so those strategies became invalid. Somewhere along the updates they must have patched it to the current system we have today (Don't walk trough specified fields if there's another path to target, walk trough them if aggroed and can't find a path to target)
And then he died with Red skull and losen hornet helmet...

@Múmu what do you mean by farm your pacc?
@Múmu so what you are saying is that there are still, even today, people who just play tibia with no premium at all? it is unbelievably time consuming imo, but in some cases it takes the fun out of it when you pay for it. Isn't premium in it's own way the same as buying tc?

Isto pra evitar guerra.
Velhos tempos.
