He hasn't done musical but just yesterday, he did a live on tiktok to tell everyone that he auditioned for a musical but the result will be announced this June 7. He said the good part was, he wasn't recognized as he did the audition. Musical shows are like auditioning for a role in a movie. Producers are looking for people who are really fit for the characters. I hope he lands a role.
Actually it is Stell's dream to do a musical or theater performance. He also did Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" during their Pagtatag concert in Japan. SB19 members have been supporting the theater arts here in Ph. They donate to PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association) the top theater association here which regularly puts on plays & musicals. SB19 members usually watch plays or musicals on their free time. A'tin has been hoping too that SB19 songs will be featured in a musical. 😊💙

But his recent amazing solo act is singing one of the classics here in the Philippines, Sometime Somewhere with not just an orchestra but THE Philharmonic Orchestra. Defying Gravity was part of her repertoire ever since she started her career which included her playing Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato's role in the movie version) in the Filipino staging of the musical "Camp Rock". Even before Lea Salonga became the first Filipina to be a star on Broadway, the influence of Broadway and Disney on music in the Philippines was huge. P.S. there is a Filipino musical based on the songs of the 1990s rock band Eraserheads, Ang Huling El Bimbo, strange story but that has been done. Unfortunately Morissette's musical movie Song Of The Fireflies hasn't come out yet, something stalled even if it has been in the can for years.

All of them trained to be in a musical when they were in their old company. Since Hong ganda, their teacher is a musical actress. The company's original plan is to have Filipino performers only, but some trainees left and some were sacked. Pablo, Stell, Josh, and Justin were the remaining trainees, that's when they decided to make an idol group. The Company announced in their page that they open an audition coz they need 1 more, and that's were Ken chosen thru Josh initiative. So basically, all of them have a musical background they experienced a theatrical performance but not professionally
I agree, Stell may not have a solo song compared to the other SB19 members because I think his path is towards the musical theater. I can also see him branching out to acting because of his personality.
There’s no other pop group in the world that each member can do solo songs, more so possess all the talents..singing, dancing, rapping, composing , producing, directing ..did I miss something? This group is the best pop group ever. I am 56 yrs old and have discovered them during pandemic in 2021 here in you tube when I saw them being disrespected by this baklang (gay) reporter during their first interview…from then on I followed them and I’ve never listened to other music other than SB19.

Marcelito Pomoy's voice is great but Stell's vocals is far more powerful, you can feel the emotions and storytelling of the song while Pomoy's way of singing was just straight face, his female voice is close to falsetto Idk what it's called, while Stell is using his full powerful voice. He can sing in low male voice too as low as Pomoy's. I dont really want to compare but since you mentioned Pomoy I just gave my honest opinion about him but I can't deny that he's also good, it's just that Stell's voice is way more powerful to me. Also "doble kara" (singing both male and female duet) is common here in PH so it's not really that surprising anymore. Stell is also great in singing low male voice, he likes to sing in his low male voice while he's doing a tikt0k live, he's giving us free mini concert 💙 I think there are compilations here in YT, hope you can also check it out soon 💙
