He is Olu of itsekire people. Warri has Urhobo and the Ijew settlement. That title Olu of warri was initiated by Pa Awolowo through his political power.

Go and conduct extensive research on the Itsekeris and present one document to show 'Olu of Itsekeris' existed before Olu of Warri

One fact I got from here is that Itshekiris are Yoruba people, only their monarchy is from Benin. So the next time an Itshekiri person argues this with me, I will refer him to this interview. The only one not clear to me now is the origin of Oduduwa. If Yorubas were already existing before he came to Ife, then where did he come from? Definitely not the sky, that's bull-shit, and of course not Saudi Arabia, that's total balderdash. If he was a crown prince of Benin, as Benins claim, how come Benin culture is not seen in Yorubas monarchy as it is seen in Itshekiri's culture? How come there is no influence of Benin culture in Yorubas monarchy and even the general Yoruba culture as it is seen today in Itshekiri culture. And how come the King of Benin is called Oba just like Yorubas and not called Olu which is what the Benins called the king in Itshekiri. So many questions that I wish real historians can answer, not all those stupid Igala people looking for relevance or historian wannabes

I will start with ekaladerhan/izoduwa fiction. It was never known to benin until 1970s when chief omoregie stated in a publication that ekaladerhan went to ife and became oranmiyan to the people of ife. Ekaladerhans story as written by benin historian egharevba earlier in 1930s and also collected in the 1890s stated he died in ughatan(I have proof for all this just ask me so you can read😁). Now that same ekaladerhan/izoduwa became oranmiyan and when oba erediauwa was to write his book, he wrote that ekaladerhan was now oduduwa father of oranmiyan. It was obvious that because of politics of superiority and uniqueness, what all have always known to be that ornamiyan from ife founded benin which egharevba wrote and which a lot of europeans collected from benin itself was subverted and changed in the 1970s.
Now to Oduduwa. Oduduwa is absolutely not a corruption, you can't just make assertions that are untrue. Oduduwa means odu to da uwa (the source or repository of existence). Moreover in benin, ugie oduduwa is celebrated and known not ugie izoduwa or ugie ekaladerhan. According to oral tradiotons he's from oke ora Hill a settlement just outside of ife. He cane to ife and fought of obatala and united ife into a kingdom. No tradition in ife has oduduwa from mecca or from benin.
The mecca hypothesis was as a result of sultan Bello of sokoto who gave middle eastern origins to a lot of ethnic groups around the river Niger. This was later attributed to oduduwa the patriarch of all yoruba kingdoms and ife kingdom and popularized in academia. Note that egyptian/middle eastern theories of origin for people and/ kings was also popular in ancient times for many african kingdoms and peoples, Benin was not also left out as egharevba had though the benin came from Egypt to ife also.
Now, About the heaven hypothesis all heroes of ife at the time were deified as irunmoles who came from heaven. That can be said about the ogisos as well who came from heaven as well. It's a myth to honor them after death moreover all humans are from heaven(orun) in yoruba spirituality as well as other African spirituality. I'm sure all the other yoruba heroes and deities aren't from benin as well right? Exactly that's how poor that logic is.
Traditions state his human existence (oduduwa) began at oke ora hill and then to ife where he wrestled power and united ife from a confederacy to one of the first kingdoms in the area and this system was later exported via many prince's and hunters when ife started expanding this includes the oranmiyan who was sent to restore order and found the new benin kingdom with the same monarchial system from ife into the area... The rest of the story is well known ile ubinu, eweka(owomika)

@@peace_of_beninp_o_b8275 You're just asking me a question and you're already so desperate like you've asked me before.
Don't be too in a haste, yorubas have been using oba for ages as far back as 1000AD/CE. Oba is the word for king. A kings title is different. The Ooni for instance has his office or title or proper noun as ooni which is usually followed by the territory ruled or people ruled while he himself is an oba(common noun) hence it is ooni ife, oba adeyeye. The so called phrase "oba of benin" is a recent expression. His proper noun or title is Omonoba nedo, oba ewuare. Oba of benin is not his exact title so the idea that bini has been using oba before anyone is a lie. What's worse is that the bini dictionary which I can show you shows you that the word oba is from yoruba language.

Maybe these were the trophs and benefits they received from Lord Lugard after betraying their King and the great benin empire. men beware on how words are chosen or used, so as not to inculcate hatred in the heart of public through equivocation. If you don't know, say it,. Don't try to formulate an event, an historical events you have no idea of.

You are very correct! Look at men trying so hard, trying hard to reconstruct how the Benin got to be their ruler. It is laughable. "Eeeeh We don't know why the crown prince of Benin was accepted...." "We saw the crown prince from Benin/Edo and we liked him, that is why we made him our king..." Men-o-men, please face the truth, and say, we either conquered the area, or imposed upon you, or the land was originally of Benin. Please call a spade, a spade. Please, don't get me wrong, I understand one have to be very proud of their culture. It seems these men here are not proud to be of Benin.

@@adeyemiadebayo9952 What a heck are you talking about...(You are so ignorant, don't know how to carry out substantive reasoning) they are not benin and only the monarch was? Well at this present time, today, their chieftaincies are still names of benin, soil they resides are still overseen by the benin. GO CHECK. The Ogiamen SOOOI is very, very, very, close to the Oba of benin because perhaps he is the one who only knows about the benin/warri relationship? I see your name in yoruba, you yorubas are soooo cultureless that you only can see or try to see things from meaningless persective holding no real backings.

Omoba Ne Edo Naija ogbeni shut up and stop ranting dumbass. Just cuz their monarch is from Benin or chiefs doesn’t make them Benin. The people have their own distinct identity. They migrated from Yoruba land and Whatever control u had over them in the past is gone. Benin kingdom is dead and buried. There is only Nigeria now. This are itsekiri chiefs telling u clearly only the monarch and chieftainship came from Benin but the people are not Benin. Isn’t Benin monarch from ife does that make u dumbass ife people.
