Diao Chan is a very risky hero and she really needs temmate with high CC so she can shine in the battlefield well and do some massive damage because of her passive but you're better off picking another mage rather than playing her.
Personally, the adjustment from CN version where she's able to end her ult early like Garo is decent enough IMO to add some more burst potential (for example, using it as a combo-ender when targeting squishy) and an easier way to get a burst heal from multiple passive procs. Another idea i'd suggest is rework her Skill 2's CD reduce mechanic to be the same as Lam (as in, reducing a percent of it instead of just flat seconds) because it'll make her less dependent on CDR stats, which is the biggest reason for her scaling issue
As a top 100 diaochan player, I can see how u could’ve played better in every single fight and have been able to kill them all, diaochan is just difficult to play perfectly, but she can be picked in almost every game
@ she really just takes practice, there is few techniques to be learned. It’s more of knowing where to jump, predicting enemies abilities and weaving in 1st abilities. Circle placement is also extremely important, try to jump before u place ur ult
As a recent Diaochan main and mlbb player to HOK player I can confirm your analysis. Almost no one plays her due to her inconsistencies in gameplay . I also noticed that even if she meets all these conditions and wins her lane if your team is losing by a lot and not taking objectives you can still lose . She definitely needs a buff or a cc skill to really meet the metas conditions. But I don’t see that happening anytime soon since they lazy buffed her a couple months ago zzz
No, we need more magic bruiser midlaner type of hero. Just pump up her stat (especially in healing) and add more condition for triggering her passive (aka autoattack). I mean, let be honest her ult exactly play like any type juggernaut. You want to forcing enemy play around your ult area

She can be an absolute menace if you dodge heavy blows with her skill 2 (mostly luck).
If they would just make that ultimate a lil bit longer, she would be very great!

Or make her cc immune for 0.75 secs after every dash.....since she doesn't have cc, at least make her i-frames more impactful
