Hah I know people who have had terrible audis, bmw's, and volkswagens in my lifetime - they drive like a dream but from anecdotal evidence, I would not want to own one, let alone buy any money pit car. I owned a VW Jetta for a long period of time and that shit was solid. I would take that over some overhyped audi any day, even if i were wealthier.

Man all the school ones really hit home bad though, I wasn't living out of the car poor but my math teacher was absolutely merciless at picking on me because I was poor, she even knew I was poor and would get the whole class to join in.
