I managed to successfully get the linskys extender to work on nearby devices. But one day an error occurred and the extender blinked orange and it resulted in the internet speeds dropping from about 381 mbs to 20 mbs. I’m not sure what happened there.
I’m trying to disconnect my previous wifi from the wifi extender but I’m not sure how to and its not letting me configure the network through my phone.
Thank you for the video, however, I’m still having issues connecting. I’m putting the device right next to my router within a foot and it’s telling me my password is incorrect. I’ve entered it four or five times and I know for a fact that it is correct. Anything I can do to correct us?
try a diffrent device if that dose not work then try to reset the wifi extender the button is on the side if that dose not work then try to change the wifi password
lost my manual and forgot my password. my wifi router quit yesterday, so I'm trying to set up my extender and forgot the password. it says to factory reset on the side, but it's not taking me back to the original log in. can you help me?
Hello-thanks for the video. I have the LINKYSYS RE6300 and its not doing the trick. Will it work with other extenders if I upgrade to something better?
I have a very long home and need an extender but also need an extender to talk to another extender in order to reach the end of my house. Do the Linksys extenders for say talk to each other?
@@HelpCloud I did do a factory reset and I finally saw a the linksys option when I went into my phone wi-fi. But when I click on it in the settings it does not take me to any set up? It just states that is an unsecure internet connection. Any clue what the issue is? Thanks.
Not my POS. Keeps asking for a network key on any device I use. Tried what looks like a possible network key on the back on the POS, but it doesn't work either. There's no double tapping because the Next button is greyed out unless a network key is entered. I tried using this hunk of crap before and it was worthless. Looks like it hasn't changed. Their online manual also mentions NOTHING about a damn network key.
If I had previously set up my RE6300 and took it off and now trying to reuse it and forgot the password. Resetting to factory setting I pushed the button for 20 seconds, is there another way to reset to factory settings? Thanks for your continuous support.

My extender will perfectly connect to my router, but when I attempt to connect on a device (phone/PC) it asks for a password, and I use my normal router password and it declines in.

I'm hopefully moving into an apartment next month that has free WiFi for the residents, though I work from home using a desktop given to me by my employer that has no WiFi capabilities. Am I correct in thinking I can set up this extender and then run an Ethernet cable from it to my desktop? Assuming I get a good signal and all of that.

Great video! As usual with most devices, the written directions leave quite a bit to be desired.
Some reason no matter when I type my password in it always says invalid when it’s not.

When i go to find the linksys wifi it doesent show up
If it’s for your extender it should said the password is admin until you change it

Reboot it, if that doesn't work, it may be worth a reset.

I have 2 extenders. I is sold orange and I flashes orange. I don’t know what to do? I never got a solid green light. 🤔
One is connected and I have a solid orange light and the second one flashes orange.. I’m not sure if 2 extenders are needed?
